CPR Teddy Review and Giveaway!
As an adult the last thing we want to do is go
back to school or take a class. Hey, I don't blame you
we did our time and now the only homework we want
to see is our children's and even then we don't always
want to see it because a lot of us just don't get the
new math. I know my last day of classes I ran out
the door and promised to never, ever, do that again!
Just the thought of sitting and listening to one more dull,
monotone teacher ramble away with all the personality
of a dust bunny is enough to make me scream. None-the
less, I took a CPR class. Every city offers them and it is
something every person should take at least once in their
lives. My son even took it at school for it is super important
and knowing how to administer CPR can often times mean
the difference between life and death and I am not even
remotely stretching the truth here. Just keeping Oxygen in a
persons bloodstream often decides how easy it would be for
a Doctor or Paramedic to save a persons life. Without the
class you might not learn things you need to know such as
the fact the way you perform CPR on an adult and a child are
to totally different and if you do not use the proper
technique you can sometimes do more harm then good.
The class is painless and fast and can sometimes even be
completed in as little as one evening.
Another good way to handle CPR is to teach your kids
while they are young and to keep reinforcing how to do
it properly. Take the class your self and then teach it to
your children or another family member for it is really no
good for only one person in the home to know how to use
it. What if that person is the person who needs it? One way
to teach CPR to your whole family is the CPR Teddy. This is
a cute approach to keeping fresh on your skills or helping
teach others. You can attached the CPR Teddy to any diaper
bag or Stroller for the added security and rest in comfort knowing
that if something ever goes wrong you have a guide in arms
reach to make sure you remembered everything correctly.
I was looking around the web site and loved the idea that
you can test your babysitters knowledge with the Teddy or
simply place it in your child's room as a reminder to
yourselves that you are prepared for everything. The CPR
Teddy comes with an instructional video you can watch by-
yourself or as a family. What I did was to review the video
and we all took a turn with the Teddy on family game night
since everyone was together to begin with. The little fellow
is simple to use and adorable to boot and would make a
great gift for any expecting parent. You can find them on
my safety guide and I think it is not only a great way to
educate people unfamiliar with CPR but to keep it fresh
in the minds of those who have already taken a class. Our
children learn about life and responsibility by watching
us and our actions and I can't think of a better thing I
would want my child seeing then me taking a subject as
important as this and making the knowledge of it part
of my daily lives and theirs. All you have to do is press
Teddy's paw and he is off and running and showing you
the way. At such a reasonable price I wouldn't be able
to understand why you wouldn't want him to be apart of
you lives.
CPR Teddy offers 2 different styles of bears.
First is a Teddy JR, who offers a smaller version of the
Large one that is perfect for homes and keeping in a
travel bag or sending with your child to the sitters. It comes
with a video and is super portable and really cute. The full
version has a bear, instructional video, Guide, Mask and
Wallet reminder card and a warranty to boot. There is also
a professional pack that offers more then one mask and
a practice chart so others can learn and test their skills
as well. The site also offers replacement items and you can
buy the video Ala carte. They also have a reminder program
so if like me you tend to get lost in your life and have a
hard time remembering to do something, even more so
something that isn't done very often, they will mail you
a card reminding you now is a good time to practice
your skills 4 times a year. That is something I could use!
If you work in a day care or medical setting or just have kids
you want to see stay safe CPR Teddy is a great tool to add
to your box! I keep mine hooked to Rowan's Diaper bag,
for like her, that goes everywhere we do!
CPR Teddy would like to give one of my readers
the chance to win a bear too! To enter just head over to their
web site and take a look around then come back here and post

Such a great idea

I learned that when it’s time to practice, squeeze the bear’s paw for voice prompts that remind you of your skills. A red heart on the chest tells you where to push, and lights in the bowtie tell if you’re pushing too hard, too soft, or just right. Great idea!

This is such a great product. I like that the bear comes with a CPR & First aid training DVD. This would make anyone feel more confident in their babysitter/caregiver. I think it would be good to give to your daycare center if they didn't already have one. I learned that there's a voice that prompts you on what to do. When you're practicing pressing on the red heart, if the light is green on the bowtie, you are pressing the correct depth. If the bowtie is red, you're pressing too hard. I love that feature.
