Alli's Originals Review and Giveaway  


Valentines Day is right around the corner and it has
become such a big Holiday over the last 20 years. I
remember when I was a child we traded cards in
school and were done with it. If we were super
lucky my Grandmother might be in a really great mood
and make a cake with red frosting to celebrate the
occasion but those days are nothing like the insanity
of Valentines Day today! Not only does your Husband
or Boyfriend merit a gift but everyone who is sweet
to you is also on the list. I try to keep it to just intermediate
family but I know people who go all out and not only
buy gifts for everyone but decorate their house to
the nines and you would think Christmas was changed
to a Holiday with Red and Pink colors instead of
Green and Red and Santa its now a giant blow
up heart with arms on someones front lawn.It has
even spilled over into the schools for where
we used to trade either home-made cards or if
you were extremely lucky a pack of store bought with
Snoopy or Be Mine slogans on them and maybe, just
maybe the teacher would pass out some candy hearts.
Today's kids do it all different and as simple as it was for
us is as grand as it is for them! They have cups cakes
and tons of candy and each card comes with its own
little candy pack or sticker pack and instead of buying
a box of 50 for a $1.99 you get 12 for $4.99 and just
about break the bank when you add that up for enough
for everyone in the class. In Middle School and High
School the stakes have changed too and no longer does
little Tommy work up the nerve to give a home-made
card to Suzie down the block, now the Classroom Romeo
is given an order form a week before where he can send
Roses or Carnations to as many Suzi's as he can afford.
Less then a week after Christmas the decorations and candy's
are everywhere and Love is in the air!

I did the same thing I did every year, started looking
for a few gifts and ending up finding up things I wanted
for myself. For Rowan it is a year of firsts and I bought her
a Jewelry box for Christmas. It took me forever to find it in
today's world of bigger and better for I wanted to give her
an old fashion child's jewelry box like I used to have. You
know the kind I mean, the box that when you opened a tiny
ballerina would pop up and dance around and around. I looked
high and low for one and just could not find the style I used to
have but I did find a few in a vintage store and the one I
settled on was a Winnie the Pooh theme where instead of the
Dancing Ballerina was a Dancing Winnie the Pooh. Well I
loved the box and I know someday she will too but now I was
faced with the dilemma of what to put in it. I decided on getting
her a little necklace or bracelet with her name on it. I wanted
something delicate and tiny and all about her so I started the
search. There are so many places out there that sell Jewelry I
was floored at all the options and started to narrow it down. I
did see a lot of nice places out there but they just didn't have
what I was looking for so I punched in Personalized, Children's
and for good measure Princess since that what my little Rowan
is and came upon Alli's Originals.This was the third or forth
site I went too but one look at the home page and I knew my
search was over. They had everything I wanted there and
more but the problem was I wanted a lot of it for myself.
I sent them a letter and let them know who I was and
started to explain my Valentines dilemma and Alli offered to
send me a piece for review. She asked me what piece I was
interested in and I thought now she has gone and done it, how
can I present this person with a list of 742 items and tell her that
is just the start for I saw so many things on her site I would have
given anything to have. I decided to play it safe and told her
to surprise me. She did!

I received the most delicate, beautiful necklace that
made me tear up a little. It celebrates my family and has a
charm in the middle with a heart cut out that says family on
the edge and then two circles with my children's names on it
and a smaller heart for John. The whole thing together was
darling and all I could think of was how sweet it would look
paired with one of my favorite sundresses. I can not wait
for warmer weather and less clothing so I can show it off
and not have it buried under turtle necks and sweaters
and heavy coats! Alli's Originals are hand stamped and
unique to every individual who buys them and a truly
special piece you will end up cherishing for a lifetime.

The icing on the cake for me would have to be the Baby Bracelet
for wouldn't you know it was just what I was looking for
to get Rowan for her Jewelry box. Cute and sweet and Just
for her! Alli's had everything for not only your Valentines
needs but for any occasion even if it is so simple as let's
celebrate Monday and get myself something pretty. If you

piece right there is the one that hooked me and it is number
five on the list of items I want from Alli that I plan to give
John.
