Because I Said So!!! Mom Knows Best!

If I have told you guys once I have told you a million
times. Rowan is a busy little girl She has to have everything
she sees and has to have it all in her mouth. From toys
to my cell phone, my hair, the TV remote and a couple
of times even the dogs chew treats. If she sees it, can
stretch for it or wiggle over to it, it is hers and in her mouth.
I have to check, double check and triple check there
is nothing within a ten foot radios of her when I place her
down and as soon as she realizes this fact she goes right
for her old stand by. Her feet! That little girl flips on her
back from whatever position you place her in curls her
legs up enough to grab both feet and then works as hard
as she can to get a foot ( or two) into her mouth for sampling.
I think she is sweet but she must too for like a Tootsie Roll
Pop she is counting the licks it takes to something or other.
How this effects our everyday life is I pretty much have to
keep her in pajamas so she can gnaw on her feet without
me worrying about her thinking they are a Popsicle for it
is cold here in Michigan. I wanted nothing more then to
have a little girl and dress her in little princess dresses
and outfits with Ruffle butts and to die for shoes but
if I tried that with Rowan she would freeze. To get away
with this in Michigan in the winter you not only need some
warm tights but also shoes and socks for anything less
and that baby is growing icicles from their toes. With
Rowan and her foot fetish this is imposable for the minute
you add the finishing touches on her outfit and put her
down she is already working on a way to foil your
plans. With in a minute the shoes are off and a minute
after that she has a foot in her mouth and her socks
tossed somewhere over her shoulder. Short of duck
tape or a staple gun I have a hard time seeing a solution
to this dilemma.
Then I stumbled across Stay With Me. I have a feeling
the inventor of these socks has a child that swam somewhere
in the same gene pool as Rowan swam in for this person
has my little baby's number down to the last digit.
Stay With Me sock have won the Disney Award and I can
see why. The are darling little critters that are oh, so useful.
On the back they have a Velcro strap that you can tighten
to fit the socks to your child's foot at their ankle. Unless you
little one is a Rocket Scientists who drools the theory of
Pie there is no way they are going to get these socks off
their feet. They can tug and pull but the simple fact is the
opening of the sock is now only as big as their ankles and
not their feet so the socks are going to stay put. The
adjustable Velcro straps makes certain they fit your
child snugly and securely and and they can fiddle with them
all day and they will stay on their feet to you take them
off. They come in Blue, Green and Pink Striped and a
Solid White, Blue and Pink. They even have non slip
grips on the bottom so unsteady feet don't slip and fall
on smooth surfaces while "Cruising" or learning how to
walk. They fit size 0 to 14 months and adjust to fit your
babies growing foot and not only is the strap snag free
it also is used for hooking the socks together when you
wash them so you no longer work all day doing laundry
only to come up one sock short!
Back on my end of the Universe Rowan has worn
pants for the first time since Winter started and though
I still can't keep shoes on her ( unless I can talk the
owner of this company into making them) but her
socks are not going anywhere. I am hoping she grows
so tired trying that by the time she grows out of this
pair she will have forgotten she has feet at all! Even
when she does outgrow this pair one thing is certain
I will get the next size for Stay With Me socks is
most defiantly stay with us!
