Hi guys, some good news and some junk!
First the junk. I had my taxes done a few weeks
ago and like a fool did the rapid refund. I have been
using H & R Block since I was 16 years old and never
had an issue to this year. I really don't think the guy
new what he was doing. I got what I thought was them
all done and he goes into his sales spiel on ways to
file and faster and so on. Well the Government does not
even take the taxes to the 15th but he talks me into
the semi rapid refund. Takes 8 to 15 days and is only
30 bucks more . I bite, then he tells me they can not
send them to the 15th and this is the 8th. Okay, hum.
Whatever. Now he calls me on the 15th and I was just
about getting ready to start checking the next day if
they were deposited. He then tells me he forgot to
give me a heating credit and he can't do that now for
it will confuse the IRS and he will amend it later and
I will get money back at a later day. I am like OK, no
biggie I get my return in a few days anyway for I want to
buy some new furniture. He says no, it is going to be
8 to 15 days. I said I know, tomorrow is day 8. Then
the guy tells me tomorrow is day one for they can not
file to then.
WHAT?
Why did I pay extra for a faster refund that would have came
at the same time anyways? So he tells me it does sound
silly but he didn't know it worked that way to after he sent
my info. Jerk! So I say can we up-grade it now?
NOPE! it was sent I am out of luck. So I paid 30 dollars
for nothing and he screwed up. So I am a little ticked.
Well now my refund should be back in a few days again
and I get a phone call. It seems we got a tax credit last
year and he didn't add it in and the IRS rejected my
return for it was not on it! I about freaked. Then this
lady now, I think the guy knows better to call, tells me
it was an easy fix but before the could resend I needed
to come in and sign again so they can resend! HUH?
Let me get this straight, I am now paying for 2 screw
ups and it is going to take twice as long to get my
returns then it would have taken a person who filed
at home because of it and have to pay not only an
extra 30 dollars for this I have to start the 8-15 days
over and I am getting less money back because he
screwed up again"
Yes mam.
What?
I told her I could not deal with it at the time and would
be in first thing to speak to her and we will go from
there. I will let you know how it goes!
The good news is ROWAN got her first tooth!!
Isn't that the sweetest thing? I wish I had a photo
but she won't smile enough to show it but I am
working on it. Right now it just has broken the skin
and is hard to see but in a couple of days we will have
it!
Moral of the Day:Who is worse the accountants or
the IRS?
