I am so happy to have John back for Friday he got here
and has had Rowan most of the weekend. I needed him
here to get caught up and though most of this weekend
was spent getting caught up on us I know I now have
a chance to catch up on much needed house work and
the blog. Would you guys believe I have 41 review items here
in the house right now? 41!! I posted 8 today so I knocked
my list down to 33 but WOW, tomorrow is another mail day
and more are sure to come!
Rowan is tickled to death her Daddy is home though
I feel like we went from the frying pan into the fire for
his Step Mother is okay but now his Uncle is very ill. He
checked himself out of the Hospital for he is a stubborn
old man but had to take Oxygen home and it isn't looking
very good. Johns Aunt, Bob's Wife Died a little over a year
ago after 50 something years of marriage and he has been
going down hill since. I won't pretend I understand all
of John's Family for other then his Brother and Sister
in Law and I guess his Step Mother though I have not
met her ( very long Jerry Springer type story) I don't care
for the rest of them. Uncle Bob is alright it is just they
were all brought up different then I was and I don't agree
with a lot of ways they do things. One of his cousins I
flat out can't stand and will not even let him in the
house. John understands this and agrees for he does
not care much for him either but the man is a waste of
air. One of those loud, rude crass type of people you
just want to smack up side the head and tell you to
shut up.
Now I was brought up with manors and was always
told if you do not have a nice thing to say to a person
keep your mouth shut and for years I have with this man.
He runs his mouth and tells you things you in no way want
to know and is just disgusting in his descriptions. I am sorry,
other then a few girl friends I chat with I am not interested
in hearing about other peoples personal details of their
romantic lives. Even worse he is one of those people
when you try to shush him he speaks louder and louder
and I put up with it through my whole pregnancy and about
a week before Rowan's birth he just walked in my house
and I was in the kitchen and he felt the need to let me
know he was here ( like I didn't already hear him) and
walked in and the first words out of his mouth were,
"You are just huge!"
Open floodgates, both barrels, I just could not keep
quiet anymore. I went off and off and off and off
and that was the only time in my life I saw that man speechless
and to make it worse after I had Rowan he came over a
week or so later and had to bring that up. He does not
have any tact what so ever for his words were, "it is nice
to see you not so fat, let's hope your hormones are under
better control now for you were rude last time I was here."
Yes, you guys got it right. I went off again. I explained it
was not my hormones but the fact he is an Ogre of a man
and pretty much told him how I really felt. Did he leave?
No, he went to see John who had the baby and to prove
what a turkey this man is my dog, who loves every person
in the world growled at him the second he got close to
the baby. His father is John's Uncle Bob though and it
makes it so hard for John is very close to his Uncle and
now that his Uncle is sick he needs his family and his
son is not a giver but only a taker and in no way will
be able to comfort his father. The good news is that
his Uncle lives close so John can help him from here
but I know John will be devastated if something happens
to his Uncle.
Another thing I wanted to let you guys know is the new
links I have been working on. I have the Valentines Day
Gift Guide posted and I am working on a Safety Link for
Tips and info and Products to help you guys keep your
homes, family and self safe. After I did a review for a
First Aid kit I wondered how much I have changed since
that day with Andrew and with John gone I realized how
nervous I was without him here and and I was double if
not triple checking the locks on the doors since he was
gone. It dawned on me how little I know about protecting
my family and thought I would educate myself more and
share that with you. I am planning a big launch of this
link and have some awesome reviews and giveaways for
you guys and even some fun surprises! Well I am going
to keep this short to I can catch up on those reviews and
I know I have not updated the food link in a bit but
only because I have a lot of reviews that will be there soon
with some great books and kitchen Gadgets as well!
I also have a lot of book reviews almost ready and more
more more to come!

Moral of the Day: Every family has at least one person
you want to lock in the attic!
