Cir*Kis Review and Giveaway!
We love Board games here! Have ever since Andrew was
little and we played the dang Ducky game I told you about.
In fact I stood at the store today ready to grab Boo some
of her Chicken Dog Treats and saw that they had them in
Duck too and I grab those just out of spite for that game.
That will teach those little plastic Quakers! Okay, I was
a little Juvenile and I must admit I get a little carried away
on game night here too. So what if I have spiked a Hotel
in Monopoly, I won didn't I? And I don't care what Andrew
says, you get to re-roll a dice if it falls off the table even if
you do knock it off yourself!
Since the Ducky's mysteriously disappeared over a dozen
years ago we have added many more games to our collection
and always have an eager eye out for something new and exciting.
There is only a smidgen of criteria for a games at our house, but
everyone has to have some standards. Our check list includes:
1. Everyone can play
2.You can tailor it from easy to hard depending on
who is playing
3. It is fun
4. No Ducks!
Cir*Kis meets all that and more. It is a strategy game at its
core but is easy enough for even younger kids to play. We found
that when playing with the younger kids it is best to relax and
enjoy the game. Of coarse when a few competitive types sit
at the table together that is when the strategy comes into play
and like Chess or even Checkers you find your self thinking
a few moves ahead just to stay on track. Depending on who
is at the table your game can go from fun and entertaining to
Hey man, you sank my battleship! Andy and are still going head
to head but I am pretty confidant I can wear him down! Cir*Kis
has a game board with open spaces where you take your pieces
and attempt to make complete Circles or Stars. The trick is everyone
you are playing with does their best to stop you. The more
connecting pieces you have the higher your score. I have yet
to get a whole circle or Star but it is one of those types of games
where every time you play it is going to be different so I am
still honing my skills. I say this time next week I will have the
boy beat!
Cir*Kis is for 2-4 players and says ages 8 and up though we
had my 6 year old Nephew playing with us and he was just fine.
To keep score every player has a peg on the side to move along.
I will never understand how Andy's always seemed to be a head
of mine but I have my eye on him! It is made by Winning Moves
Games and will have a spot on our shelf of winners from here
on out! They are also your one stop shopping destination
for family game night with all your favorites at great prices!
Even better Winning Moves is going to give one of my
readers a copy of this new board game to hit the table at
your next family game night! To enter just go to the web
site and take a look around then come back here and let
me know what you saw! The contest will start tonight, January
4th and Run to February 11th at Midnight.

will be contacted by email and have 72 hours to

I saw a multitude of games and books for children of all ages, even family games. I noticed that a lot of the items were games and toys that made you use your thinking & reasoning skills.

The website is packed with all sorts of games and puzzles. They have a rewards program and best sellers list. Apparently Rubik's Cube is the best selling puzzle.
