Organic Bath Co. Review and Giveaway!

When Andrew was a baby the word Organic
was seldom used and pretty much pertained to only food and
a couple of clothing items. Mostly those made of hemp. In
the early 90's there was kind of a mini little hippy movement
going on and that was the word was used, mostly in that
little community and rarely outside of that. Then slowly you
saw some products, mainly in the produce section and
Whole Foods stores started to open here and there and
by 2000 it was catching on all over and now here we
are today where you can buy Organic items at your local
7-11. Now Organics takes on a whole new meaning and
it is as common place as a Twinkie. Instead of locating
Organic products all-together now the search for the best
ones begins and with so many items to search through it
seems like a daunting task at that. I started using Organic
items in the early 2000 but will be the first to admit it
was the produce section. The reason being? Fresh items
just tasted better and there was a store not that far from
me that was pretty much a high end grocery store and
offered an abundant selection and also in convenience
forms like pre-cut fruit and veggie trays and that was a
huge thing for me because I have always been a fresh
fruit and veggie person and to have a platter all ready to
go when I was working 70 hours a week made them a
must have item at my house. As far as other items went
I could not tell you. Andrew was at the age where he
was growing in leaps and bounds and just to keep clothes
on his back that fit was a huge feather in my cap, Organic?
I had not a clue. For my own clothing I had to wear dress
clothes and suits for work and in 1999, 2000 you would
be very hard pressed to find a Donna Karen or Ellen Tracey
Organic line. I did wear a lot of silk and that can sometimes
be Organic, back then only if it costs enough but it wasn't
because they were out to help the environment it was more
because they could charge more if it came from a silk worm
and wasn't synthetic. Now a days, Organic is the thing
to buy and everyone knows what it is and what to
look for. My Organic section in the Gourmet store has
turn into Organic isle and then more isles in every store. You
no longer have to travel, like I said now you job is to find
the products that are good and weed out the fakes!
I have found a few product lines that I love to death
and learn about more everyday. Some times I come across
an item that I toss back but for the most part they are
all pretty good. The bonus with Organics being so common
place now a days is that it is becoming the norm and
therefore the prices are getting lower and lower. I used to
pay around 5 bucks for Organic Carrots and now I can get
them for just over 2. Less then a Dollar over the regular
versions price. That is a big drop. A lot of that has to
do with the fact big business has seen their error of
their ways and has started to develop their own Organic lines.
With all the searching I have done they are probably the
poorest quality but they have helped make it more main
stream and I thank them for that. Without that push I
might never have had the chance to find places like my
next review. A fabulous store that is growing by leaps
and bounds for when you offers some fantastic products
and at a price you can afford it is only a matter of time
before the word spreads and I am so glad I found them
now! The Organic Bath Company! These guys make everything
from Bath and Skin care products to Toys and Baby items
to Household and even cleaning items and so far every item
I have tried has been marvelous! For a product review I
was sent three items, each from a different section of their
store. The first was Better Body Butter. Now everyone knows
what Shea butter, jojoba oil, and green tea oil are and
we all know they are each fantastic in their own right.
The Organic Bath Company goes the extra mile and
found a way to compile these exceptional products into
one spectacular item that is also infused with Lavender and
Vanilla. Lavender relaxes you and Vanilla is not only known
for its aphrodisiac benefits it also is a good anti-oxidant
and has other medicinal properties. When you combine all
of these items into one you are pretty much looking at a
body butter that is something to write home about. Not only
is this a surefire way to visibly improve dry skin in the
shake of a tail feather it is fantastic for healing that severely
dry skin, eczema, burns, rashes and lessen the irritation
of psoriasis. It also provides a natural UV sun protection,
protecting your skin from free radical damage. All that and
it is calming and can make your hubby sit up and take
notice too! Excellent! This stuff was exceptional and
I am toting it around in my purse for it just makes me
feel good all over. Also seeing as I was feeling all spry and
so was John whenever I used it, I don't know if it was
happen-chance or fate but the next item they sent was the
Bubble Bath Roses. Okay, first thought, these are adorable.
So cute I fell for them hook line and sinker before I even
opened the box! The thing is though they are not just for
show they are also a also a rich, skin softening bubble bath.
That's right, these adorable petal melt in your bath to create
a luxurious bubble bath for the petals completely dissolve into
rich, skin softening bubbles and the heavenly fragrance of
pure, distilled essential oils. Now when I looked at them
that was the furthest thought from my mind. I thought they
were purely for show. How they did it I have no clue but
they did and I so thank them for it because there is nothing
more relaxing then a hot tub with candles and some soft
music and then to sprinkle some Rose petal in that don't
just float but dissolve into pure heaven took my entire world
by surprise and brought me up to a level of relaxation that
you just can't compete with. Sensuous, beautiful and relaxing
all rolled into one!

After they showed me some products just for me they
clued me in on what they could do for Rowan. I was sent
a sampler pack of Baby items that were absolutely fabulous!
The Organic Baby Travel Pack has a little bit of everything
and a lot of quality and I was tickled pink to try them
all. The pack includes the:
Conditioning Shampoo & Wash
Calming Bubble Bath
Velvety Soft Babee Lotion
Soothing Bottom Balm
and every single item works like a charm. The Bubble Bath
has become a must have in our house and I am pretty sure
Rowan would not have the fun she has in the bathtub right
now without it. The bubbles are full and thick and do not
fizzle away and pretty much last the length of the bath
unless she is going for a record breaker. I used the Conditioning
Shampoo & Wash while in the tub and "no tears Mom!" just
smiles for she is still oohing and aweeeing over the
bubbles and barely knows the cleaning up part has even
taken place. Once finished we use the lotion and that locks
in the moisture that bath has given her for unlike the
chemical laden products we had before she comes out
all soft and silky and not stripped of her naturally perfect
baby skin she went in the tub with. Now the Soothing
Bottom Balm I have barely had a chance to use because
with the other products she is kept so soft and her skin
is so perfect she has not had a rash since I started using
it. There has been a couple of times her number 2 has
been a little tough for her and left her pink from effort so
I did use it to be safe and not sorry but a real need for
it I have yet to run across. There is not a doubt in my mind
though that if that day should come it will work wonders for
as well as the other items worked I know this will rock just
as well. I am in love with everyone of their items I have
tried. They were just fantastic!

I am looking forward to trying the other items they
make, the cleaning products the most for with their all
purpose cleaner and laundry liquid I don't think I can go
wrong and the men's items are also on my list for
I adore the fact they use Sage in them and it is
such a manly scent I know I will be totally impressed.
The Organic Bath Company has a great line of items and
I see them growing in leaps and bounds and not from
their products alone because they offer the full package.
Not only do they have great products the customer service
is off the charts. I really enjoyed speaking to them and
found them helpful and truly compassionate in what they
do and it is rare you run across a place that believes
in what they sell and you can tell by speaking to them
that they do. They are not only proud of what they
offer they stand behind their products and I am proud
to say that The Organic Bath Company is the first
Organic company to make my top ten list! Just read
through the criteria on that list and I can assure you
they meet every single one and more. Great prices,
great customer service, a fabulous product and they
go the whole nine yards to make sure you are just
as happy owning their items as they are making them.
I can picture their staff whistling while they work for
they are just a great company all around. They are
Snow White in an Organic forests and the Butterfly's
and Birds have already been signing their song and now
I am too! The Organic Bath Company is what I hope
to be a store that sets the standards for others because
it will be a much more healthy, happy and content world
if that is the case. The Organic Bath Company can sit on
the ledge of my tub anytime!

One of you can find out just how fantastic they are
too for The Organic Bath Company is going to give one
of my very lucky readers the same items they gave me.
To enter is easy, just head over to their site and take

Hey there, while you are here don't forget to enter
my Radius Toothbrush and isABelt Contests!

Evorakids Review

Do you guys remember learning about dental hygiene
and all the places you miss brushing when you were in
school? You would stand in line and when you got to the
front some overly nice lady would hand you this little
table and tell you all about brushing your teeth and asking
you if you thought you brushed well enough? Of coarse you
would say you did, everyone and their brother that you knew
was standing right outside of the curtain behind you and
there was no way you could be the one who said, "No,
I do a rush job just to shut my Grandparents up for I
really don't feel like wasting the time!" You always came
up with this super story about how hard you worked and
how you were very sure you had the cleanest teeth in the
entire class. You were positive your brushing skills could
only be surpassed by the man who founded the American
Dental Association for he is the only person who could be
as remotely as careful as you are. The lady always shakes
her head and then hands you this little tablet and tells you
to chew this. Hum, okay. In your mouth and it is a little
like candy and that has you really going for here you are
talking to this lady who you are pretty sure works hand and
hand with the tooth fairy and most assuredly reports back
to your parents and she is giving you candy. You wonder
if it was a trick but if it was you failed it already it in
your mouth and you are just about done chewing even.
Then she hands you this mirror and says now look at your
teeth.

Panic sets in. THAT WAS CANDY! Do the effects of
candy set in that fast? Do you already have a cavity from
the piece this lady tricked you into eating? You grab the
mirror and hold it up and take a look, big grin now and
what do you see? A mouth full of blue teeth looking back
at you. Your whole mouth. Every corner and crevasse and
little gap is bright blue. What did this chick do to you?
Do they fall out next? You are in shock. Then the lady
looks you square in the eye and says, " See the blue?"
You nod your head dumbly.
"Those are all the areas that you missed when you
brushed your teeth."
Again with the dumb nod.
That is my magic tablet and it tells me that you are just
not brushing long enough when you brush. In fact with
all that blue it looks like you didn't brush at all.
So the lady is really good at bringing 8 year old girls
to tears but you guys know that tablet I am talking about.
They go to every school with that little job and then hand
you this nasty cup of liquid for you to gargle with and
spit out and then they let you do the tablet again and
all clap for you when the blue is all gone. I swear the
reason they go through that whole spiel is to take your
mind off of the fact that liquid is so nasty if it were not
for the major guilt trip they just put you on you would be
spitting it out all over the place. Now the stuff in that little
fluid is good for your teeth but you don't have to shame
a child into taking some nasty fluid any more. There are
better ways to get to all those little spots your brush misses.
You don't have to gag your child anymore.
I just had the chance to do a review for a product called
Evora Kids. instead of that little nasty fluid this is an easy to
chew and easy to stomach tablet that your kids will love. No
matter what the nurse told you that day you will never be able
to get all those little spots in your mouth and the Evora
Kids is there to pick up the slack for your little guy.
When MZ Nurse comes to your child's school they can
smile back with a mouth absent of blue! Evorakids includes
the ProBiora3 blend of probiotics specifically formulated to
meet the unique oral care needs of children. The EvoraKids
reaches where toothbrushes and floss can’t – into the
crevices on the pits and fissures in the chewing surfaces
of teeth. Its Wild Cherry Flavor makes it easy for them to
handle and you will feel better knowing it is 100% natural
and GMO free, with no artificial colors or flavors or
sweeteners. It’s sugar, gluten, soy and dairy free and easy
for those kids to take on thier own.

Every child needs a little help with things like that
and think of this as back-up for thier brush. A painless way
tp support tooth health and help keep your child's smile bright
and easy way for them to reach the spots they have trouble
reaching with the brush. I found it super easy to use and
in the morning when I am passing out the daily Vitamens
I just slipped this right in and Andrew never even noticed
and though he is a little older then most of the kids
that take it with his teeth issues I want to make sure I
am doing everything I can for him. With 100% Natural
Evorakids I feel that I am!

MyClyns Review and Giveaway!

If John had his way Rowan would be wrapped
in a giant bubble to protect her from the outside world.
John Travolta's Bubble Boy has nothing on Rowan for
he would not stop there and would add padding and
cushion and have a team of people like a NASCAR
pit crew running interference to swipe clean her path
as she makes her way across a room. When we first
brought her home I was never so embarrassed to watch
him sway her this way and that when an elderly lady
at the drug store tried to get a good look at Rowan, not
touch her, mind you, but look, and he did everything but
a Cartwheel to insure she could not get close enough
to do so.
"Germs Michelle, they are everywhere. Do you want
her to end up with the Swine Flu?"
" Well I would assume those people are home in bed
and I didn't say you have to let people touch her but
there is a polite way to keep her at a distance and a
rude way and you are pretty rude right now!"
" I am not!"
"Whatever!"
A couple of days later our neighbor who has been very
close to our whole family for years and pretty much
considers my family a part of hers and she also worships
the ground both of my children walk on caught John and
I on the way out the door.
"Is that the baby?"
I could see John visibly stiffen. I gave him a little shove
in her direction. "Yes, it is. We were just taking her for
a check up."
"Oh, the sweet thing. I won't waste your time but
I just wanted to take a peek at the little Angel."
John was already trying to worm his way off of the
porch and there was not a doubt in my mind he was
going to make a break for it and be extremely rude to
a Woman who has been nothing short of spectacular to
my family and Not only remembers my children on
every Holiday and Birthday was the first person on my
doorstep the day after we brought Rowan home with
a huge Piggy Bank she must have gotten at a boutique
somewhere filled a third of the way already with Quarters.
There must have been more then 100 dollars in there
already and she had instructions this was to be towards
her Collage fund! The Bank itself most have cost a
small fortune for I have never seen one so big and
detailed before. It was stunning. She has done just as
many spectacular things for Andrew, including gifting the
child a computer for his 13th Birthday and here John was
making a break for it and all she wanted was a look.
I stopped him and gave him a push in her direction again
and a little ( though hard) pinch to the arm so he
got the message. Later that day he freaked on me and
you would think this man who is only one step above
drinking out of a toilet bowl himself was a Howard Hughes
clone and ready to seal Rowan away in some sort of
Hermetically sealed room to she was 30 years old. I
even explained she "needs" to be exposed to some things
or she would never develop the immunities she needs later
in life. He has just about driven me to the point of
having him sealed in something though it is not
made to keep out germs but rather made of Pine if
he does not knock it off. When I got the chance to
do a review for MyClyns I hung up the phone to the
Funeral Home and decided to see what they had to
say.

MyClyns is made for people like John and is
a fantastic product to have even if you are "normal"
too! This looks like a pen and fits into your pocket
or purse as easy as one does too. MyClyns is
not a pen though and in fact is a personal spray that
is made to spray directly into your own face or mouth
and is effective in reducing your post-exposure to air
born and other pathogens and germs that can other
wise cause viruses or infections. Next time you or
your child is sitting in a crowded waiting room and draw
the short straw and get to enjoy the comfort of sitting
next to the sickest person in the room just pull out your
MyClyns and give yourself and your child a little spray-
down. It is safe to spray directly onto the face and even
onto open cuts and abrasions and is designed to be
used after the unexpected incident occurs. What MyClyns
is would be best described as new, alcohol-free, non-toxic,
non-burning germ protection spray shown to reduce more
than 60 potentially dangerous germs, including MRSA,
staph and E-coli*. Compared to other method's we
use for sanitation and Germ Defense, MyClyns is the
hands down winner every single time. It's closest competitors
would be hand Sanitizer followed by Soap and Water for
there really isn't anything even remotely like this on
the market. Even John could sleep, rest assured that
he has done the best thing possible to protect Rowan
and the host of Germs children today face. Professionals
in the Medical, Law Enforcement and Military have
already known about its benefits and now you can
too. I am not even a tiny bit of the Germ Phobe that
John is and non-the-less understand the importance
of fighting Germs to keep our children healthy and
know the importance of sanitation and with MyClyns
I no longer have to run my children to the nearest
bathroom and wash them down or slather hand Sanitizer
every time they face the public. Where has this stuff
been all my life? Now if I can keep John from buying
this by the Semi Truck full and making a spectacle of
himself every time Rowan comes within five feet of
a person he does not know!

Have a John at home? I feel for you but right now
you can have a chance of winning some MyClyns of
your very own. Discipline and Manors classes you have
to locate on your own for I have my hands full with
John already. To enter just head over to the site and
take a look around then come back here and post what
you have learned. The contest will start tonight and
run to Midnight on April 26th.
USA and 18 and older can enter daily and the winner
will be contacted by email and have 72 hours to
contact me with their mailing information. As always
you can earn a bonus entry by entering the contest of

my Radius Toothbrush and isABelt Contests!

EyeFatigue.com Review and Giveaway!

Both John and I have fading eye sight. Each year
it gets worse and worse and though I have seen a
doctor for it, John is clinging to his youth and says
his eyes are just tired and once he gets some rest
he will be okay. I have a astigmatism that I have had
for a long time and it is just getting worse. I am vain
and refused to do what the doctor told me years and
years ago and the fact I am going through all this
now is my own fault. When I was in my early 20s
I first started to notice an issue and went to the doctor
the first time. That was when I found out and he
wrote me a prescription for a pair of glasses.
"Wear these every day for 6 months straight and you
will be able to fix your issues for they are mild and
not very bad."
"Can I get contacts?"
"No, Like I said, your condition is too mild and they
don't make contacts for something like that."
Well, Michelle was even more vain then compared to
now and those glasses were never, ever worn. It didn't
start getting really bad to I was in my late 30's but
now my doctor can write me a lovely prescription for
contacts should I wish but the fix in 6 months thing is
totally off the table. At least I went to the doctors and
found out. I may have lost my glasses a long time
ago and have been too lazy to go back but I know.
John will not even walk in the door. I can't help but
to laugh there for I am the biggest phobe when it
comes to doctors and you have to drag me in by my
nose and even I will go to an eye doctor. How big of
a baby is John?
What he has been doing instead is stealing my glasses.
I buy them at the drug store for even though my vision
is much worse then when I was tested in my 20s it
still isn't bad on the whole. In my 20s it was a once in
a while thing and now it is constant but the actual issue
is my vision is sorta blurry looking at far away objects.
I am far from blind and I would think Johns can't be much
worse since he is fine with every pair of glasses I grab
for me. Now I suppose I could start getting them from
the eye doctor but I don't see much of a difference and
I have a habit of loosing a pair every month of so and
buying that many through the doctor would cost a small
fortune. Instead I stick with the ones by the Pharmacy.
Those are cheaper then the Co-pay at the Doctors office
and work just as well. Now if I could get John to stop
stealing them I would not be getting as many.
The last pair he took were a pair that were sunglasses.
Now that really bums me out for Summer is almost here
and not only did I loose those to him I lost them all
together for he has no clue were he put them. Why should
he, John seems to think he has an endless supply of
glasses for every time I can't find mine I order some
more or grab them at the store and he just helps himself.
and I am stuck footing the bill. Now we go through about
20 pair of year and it is starting to add up so I thought
if I found a place that has just what he needs and what
I need I can kill two birds with one stone and maybe
if they were the right kind for him he would take better
care of his and not loose them. You see his problem
is not his eye sight per say, it is tired eyes from strain.
He spends so much time with Crosswords and Reading
and then a good part of the day on the computer the
strain is making his vision all wonkey. I didn't even
know if they made glasses for people with normal
vision and tired eyes but I started searching and would
you believe they do? Not only a pair of glasses but
a whole web site filled with information and tips on
lenses and fitting and they also carry glasses with low
power like I need so I really could kill two birds with
one stone. After all the things that have been going
on around my house right now this seems like a light
at the end of the tunnel and thanks to EyeFatigue.com
I can even see that light!

I was sent a pair for review and they were just what
John needed. They even come with a little case so he
is not loosing them all over the place because he doesn't
pick them up. Would you believe when I got the new
furniture a few weeks ago about 4 pair of old glasses
fell out. At first I was excited for I thought it would save
me the problem of buying more but once I saw the lenses
I was bummed. If they had this case on them they might
have made it. John wore them for all of the week so
far and just loves them and has not complained of a
headache since he started either. The Computer Glasses
were made just for him, well, people like him and take
care of the issues that affect him on a regular basis such
as the glare that affects everyone who spends a lot
of time on a computer. People assume one glass is just
as good as another but when it comes to your eyes
it is better to be safe then sorry for hey, we only get
one pair in our life and that's all she wrote. The glasses
on EyeFatigue.com are specifically made for people who
normally do not need glasses to function in life but
are taking the strides necessary to keep it that way and
protecting them from strain. A normal prescriptive pair
of glasses can sometimes do more harm then good
and you should read though all the information and make
an educated choice whenever you are dealing with
something as important as your eyes.

They also offer a solution for people like me who
need a low powered glass that could not normally be
bought over the counter. For years I have been grabbing
a 1, the lowest you can get at a drug store but they
are still too strong and though they do help me be able
to see clearer then before I also end up with headaches
for my efforts. The only way to fix that was to get them
from the eye doctor at a hundred bucks a pop and
EyeFatigue.com offers the strength I need on-line for a
fraction of that price. Ba-Da-Bing, John and I both
covered at one store, one low price and these come
with the little cover and were delivered super fast too
boot! I am all in here! So if you guys are having
issues already or just spend a lot of time on-line and
want to take care of your eyes now, take a look over
at EyeFatigue.com and you will defiantly see more clearly!
EyeFatigue.com is also going to give one of my lucky
readers a pair of their own. To enter just head over to
the site and take a look around and then come back here
and post something you have learned. The contest will
start tonight and run to Midnight on April 27th!

Softlips Review and Giveaway!

Okay, let me be real here for a minute. I
love the first snow fall of the year. Even more
so when it is those light, fluffy flakes that drizzle
down from the sky and almost lay down on the
ground, silently blanketing the last inkling of green
trying to hold onto your front lawn. Even more then
that I love when that entire spectacle happens on
Christmas Eve and you wake to find a pure white
unblemished sheath flowing over your neighborhood
with its willowy white presence.

SO pretty. The only thing better than that scene is
when the neighbor down the block, the real crabby
one that the kids all have urban legends about
comes down at first light and shovels your walks
and does it in such a perfect way the snow looks
as if they was how it was meant to be. It is a dream
and makes for a story book start to a child's
Christmas Morning. As a kid I didn't even mind the
snows that followed. The occasional snow day off
from school and the drifts so high you can burro
and add and have a snow fort that rivals a kings
castle before you are called in for lunch. I held
onto that feeling to I was in about 6th grade. Then
it slowly started to fade. It started with the slush
that followed and ruined my shoes and a few years
later annoyed me when I had to shovel off my car
or hey, in Michigan sometimes it is dig out my car.
Then Pumping gas in sub zero temperatures with a wind
chill of -4,072 blowing over your already frozen face.
A few more years and you are in your own place and
the air is to dry, it eats your sinuses and cracks your
lips and you are filling a humidifier over and over again
to your back aches and you are bent over in pain and
you still have to go out and shovel that dang junk that
must be 3 feet tall by now off your driveway to get out
and make it to a job where everyone else shows
up late and leaves you with all their work for the
traffic was too bad due to the weather. Yeah, it
was pretty a zillion years ago. Now it is a pain in
the behind!
The worst part is my skin and lips. The protest
the fact I have not migrated to a warmer climate over
and over again. I live slathered in Skin Lotion and
Chap stick and still I can barely keep up! Another
thing, about 5 years ago, I grew darn tired of Chap stick
and its waxy feel. The stunning array of flavors, you
know, cherry and regular, also started to get on my
nerves. I started to branch out and try new things.
Face it, I live in Michigan and I need a balm or
ointment if I want to be able to stand my own
lips and I need to find something I can tolerate and
feel good about. The fact I am suffering through
another Winter has already put me in a foul mood
so you would think that I could at least find a lip
Balm or Lotion that would brighten me up a little.
Now,not too long ago I did a review for
Yu-Be and after almost 41 years I finally found
something that can help my elbows and feet and
hands and keep them from being cracked and
end up drying out to the point of bleeding like
my poor son. Yu-Be saved us on that point
and hey, their Balm works great for real chapped
lips like my sons but I want something that also
makes me feel pretty and good about myself and
I want to drop the Balm taste along with the first
snowfall. Now I have found a way to deal with that
and found it a few years ago actually, but I was
surprised to hear from them and have a chance to
do a review of their new Flavors. The balm I am
talking about comes in a jackpot of flavors and
scents and even a little bit of color. This Balm
is so cool that it even cares enough to protect my
lips in the sunshine and incorporates sunscreen into
its already fabulous mix. See, this review was a no-
brain-er for me for I have been a fan for a while and
why you ask? Hey, unlike the Chap stick I grew up
with this stuff never sticks, and it goes on smooth and
keeps me soft, silky and moist through all that a
Michigan Winter can throw at me, or even Winters
partner in Crime those 95 degree hot and humid
Summer Days. What is it? You are dieing to know?
Well, its Softlips of Coarse!
I first found out about Softlips maybe 4 or
five years ago. I was messing around one day and
stumbled on their site, see I have been searching for products for a long long time,
and on the home page they had a
promotion for some Chick Lit!
I had been toying with the idea
of turning some stuff in to a chick
lit publishing house and paused
to read about it. It was a contest
that they were sponsoring and
there were tons and tons of prizes
and the prizes were a book and
some Softlips.
Why not?
I entered.
I won.
I got the book and the Softlips.
I read the book and tossed it in the trash.
I tried the Softlips and tossed the Chap stick
in the trash.
It rocked! Every since then I have been hooked
and I must have a stick in every pocket and every
purse and every drawer in my house. Soft Lips just
feels good going on. You can actually feel the moisture
of the Balm as you put it on. Unlike the other Balms
I have tried that feel as if they are going to fall apart
in chunks the Softlips glides. It coats your lips in a
silky layer of protection and I don't even stretch the
truth a little here for it has that good old Sun Screen
in it. Since that day I have been a huge fan and
if I had counted the times i have applied it to my
lips over the years I am talking about a pretty darn
big number here. Another thing I liked about it and
also another reason the Chap stick went bye bye
is even back then Softlips had more flavors then
Chap tick and now, WOW. The new flavors alone
blow away that other Brands entire line up. This
Season alone they have came out with the Honey
Dew and one of my favorite flavors the Pomegranate.
I love that flavor and I am thrilled it is showing up
everywhere right now. Their seasonal Limited Editions
this year are Sugar Cookie and Cherry and Winter
Mint and Vanilla. They also have their normal line
up and their tinted. I love those too for sometimes
I just want a little touch of Lipstick and other times
I get a shade of Lipstick close to the Softlips
Flavor for I found that a lot of Lipsticks are
drying as well and when I used them and then
the Softlips I feel fresh and smooth, not dry and
caked. I really love the Pearl in the tinting for it
adds a little shimmer to any lipstick and brings a
little something something. Bonus, soft lips and
Stunning too boot! SO lets go over the check
list here real fast. Softlips has:
Lots of exciting flavors
Tinted Balms.
Seasonal Flavors
Sun Screen
They have Organic Flavors
No Animal Bi-products
Gluten Free
Taste Great
Moisture you can feel as you apply
Work like a charm!
See, what isn't there to love about Soft
Lips? Not only is all that included with Soft
lips they are also easy to find, super affordable
and unlike some of the other brands that have
been the same old thing forever and ever they
are always moving forward and looking to improve.
I am just hooked and could go on and on and
on with all the benefits of Softlips but you
are going to just have to try it for yourself and
then you will know!
Hey, we can even make it easy on you.
One of my readers is going to win their choice
of the new Softlips Seasonal Flavors or the
new Organic ones! To enter just head over to

Radius Toothbrush Review and Giveaway!

Rowan now has four teeth that are fully in
and 3 more on the way. 3 weeks ago she was a
total gummy baby and 2 weeks ago the first one
broke the skin. The other three showed up on the
scene with in the next couple of days. I swear I
have never seen a Baby pop so many teeth up in
such a short period of time. Andrew got his first
around this time but after that tooth he got one,
maybe two in a month tops. Not little Miss thing though,
everything she does has to be NOW from the second
she came into this world. Heck, Rowan even came
into the world fast. With Andrew I had hard labor
for a good 6 hours and when I say hard I mean like
full on one more push will do it those lying doctors
and their fairy tales. Since when does one more push
last 6 hours. Rowan on the other hand was born so
fast she had a bruise on her for head from hitting
my tailbone on the way out the door. She sat on her
own fast, she stood fast, she rolled over and babbled
and every other baby mile stone there is super fast.
She started drooling like a faucet from the time she
was a little over a month and I for sure thought she
was going to get her first tooth early. Little did
I know she was going to save them all up for a group
appearance. She looks super cute now with a mouth full
of chompers but that week before the first one broke the
skin was just about one of the longest in my whole life.
I held that little rigid girl kicking and screaming for
7 solid days of tears and teething tablets and Ora-gel
and paced the floors and sang off key and pretty much
wanted to cry with her. Either she had the teething Woes
bad or the fact I am now in my forty's made her teething
just as hard on me as it was on her. But they are here,
all pretty and sweet. There is something about children's
little tiny square baby teeth that makes you go aweeeeee!
We have made it too the first gap tooth grin and next stop
will be waving goodbye to these little guys she worked so
hard for and sending them off to the tooth fairy. For now
they are hers and she did a good job.
So now Rowan needs a toothbrush. Now what to get?
Just like everything else in the baby world so much had changed
from the time Andrew was a baby to Rowan. With Andrew my
choices for a toothbrush for a little tyke were do I want a Blue
handle or a Pink one? Now they have bells and whistles and
gadgets and gold covered bristles. Okay, I was joking with the
bristles thing but it rhymed. I can't even remember the kind off
tooth brush Andrew had though for they just weren't that big of
a deal. Electric ones were out but they cost and arm and a leg
and only adults had them. Now you can buy those electric jobs
for 12 bucks that are just about disposable. I tell you, as much
as battery's cost it almost is cheaper to buy another one then to
replace a battery. Now if memory serves, mind you it gets pretty
fuzzy now a days, but if it serves, back then all kids brushes were
soft. Now you even have a choice there. In fact, instead of my Blue
or Pink, I can now choose the color, manual or electric, the bristle,
if it is good for back teeth or if it has a roof of your mouth job and
so many other things I almost long for my Pink or Blue back. I just
didn't know where to start so I thought I would call on some of my
younger friends and ask them. Lucky for me where I live I had a
good slice of the generation gap. For Moms with kids at home it
was kinda like the three bears. There was the far end from me a Mom
with real young girls, then the boys in the middle and down at my
end I would have to say we were Papa bear for Johns daughter was
the youngest at 13 followed by my son at 16 then we had 20 and
25. A pretty far stretch from the one year old on the far end. If
I had a question about younger kids all I had to do was walk down
the block to I got to the age I needed. This Baby's too big, this
Baby's not much better and this one is just right.
"Excuse me neighbor I only wave to, how did you pick your
daughters toothbrush out?"

BLINK BLINK "excuse me?"

" I said, How did you know what kind of toothbrush to buy for
your child."
So that approach really didn't get me any answers though I did
notice when I am outside the same time as them they rush the
kids back in the house fast as they can. I am starting to wonder
if I should be offended but I still needed answers so I hit the net
because what ever question I ask it the net never whispers to
its friends when it sees me and makes concerned faces like I am
off my rocker. My google search of good + toothbrush turned up
a load of the big old same old, same old, places who pay big
money to pop up at the top of a search engine and with all
their advertising we have been spoon fed for years to think
they were what it is all about.
But are they really that good?
I briefly pondered taking my quest to the streets and doing my
own version of the census. Hey, I have more then one question
on my mind. But after my little let's ask the neighbor thing went
bust I could pretty much see shackles in my future if I did that
in public and to complete strangers. Now my neighbors may think
I am weird now but before they thought I was sorta, well, yeah,
they thought I was weird then too but at least they didn't think I
was so crazy I did things like talk to field mice and build furniture
out of Banquet TV dinner boxes weird. Just a little different kind of
weird. If I took that chance on a City street with people that don't
know I am harmless for all intensive purposes I could get in a bit
of trouble so I needed a better way. I decided forums. They have
a forum for everything and I found more then one on dentistry and
toothbrushes. What I did was ask two sets of question. What do
you look for when picking out a child's toothbrush and what are
your favorite brands of toothbrush. For the first part of my
question the top five answers I got were;
1. Soft
2. Safe
3. Easy to handle
4. made for a baby's mouth
5. Affordable
Okay, duh! Now I do feel like a dork, these were all common
sense answers and I most likely could have skipped them. I will
say though it did make me feel a little better for now that I have
got my neighbors wondering if I will end up being a crazy Cat lady
I started to question my own sanity. It was nice to know I at least
still thought about the same things normal people did.
The other answer I got for part two were;
1. Oral B
2. Radius
3. Sonic Care
4. Phillips
5. TriFinity
Now wait a minute. I have heard of Oral B, Sonic Care and Phillips
for those are the big dogs, WOOF! The ones on the top of the
search engines with tons of advertising dollars to make sure we suck
up the hype if it is true or not. But I have not heard of the other
two. Hummmmmmmm, I love to learn about some new things here.
I contacted Radius and got a chance to do a review. They sent
me a little bit of everything. Perfect timing too for they got here right
when her first tooth was starting to break through so I held off on
my review a little for I wanted her gums to heal a tad. While I
was waiting I went and tried the other brush they sent. The first thing
I noticed is the brushes are made for your hands. Interesting. Now
when I say that I don't mean they are just comfy brushes I mean
they are really made for a left or right handed person. It allows for
a better grip and control. Who would of thunk? They also have this
big head to make sure your pearly whites are getting a good buffing.
Another thing, well two things, I liked are the fact they last longer
and are affordable too. Um, money, hey, if I can save that and get
a better product. More power to me! They also have this really
high bristle count and along with that big head they got my
teeth really clean but the part I loved is normally I have bad gums
and since I already have bad teeth I seldom enjoy brushing my
teeth, in fact it is the three times during the day I dread. My gums
bleed something fierce and with the Radius Toothbrush they
didn't. I was wondering why, for in my whole life I had never
used a toothbrush that didn't. Seriously, for me bleeding gums
was just a fact of life and I was shocked so I read their site and
it seems that big head I liked is the trick. It distributes the weight
better and without so much pressure in one spot and with all those
bristles it is still getting your teeth super clean. LOVED IT!
What else I loved and normally this would be the first thing I
raved about but this one time I let my poor gums take some
presidents, is the styles and colors. Not only do they offer some
of the coolest colors out there those brushes are made from trees
and are a 100 percent renewable plastic. Delicious! Oh, and there
is also that ADA thing. Those Dentist guys say they are pretty
darn cool too! So I am hooked on the Adult brush and
can now see why it made a top 5 list. I was impressed!
Now for Rowan. It took me a while to convince her to
let me brush her teeth. First she just wanted to play with
it. Though she has broke the gums and the worst of her
teething is over she still likes to chew on everything and will for
a while so I had to sit there and show her look, Mommy does
hers and now Rowan, UGH! Again, Mommy does hers and now
Rowan, AHH, one more time. Well you get the picture. Lucky for
me Rowan is a super fast learner. Did I tell you guys she can
play Peek-A-Boo. Not where I hide and appear and hide again, and
she giggles uncontrollably. This little seven month old baby covers
her own face and then re-appears for me and I get to giggle.
Can you believe that? I don't remember Andrew doing that to he
was like 2. Any ways, I got her to let me do it. No easy feat for
she also is determined to do things herself. She caved, I did a
happy dance and we started. I was really careful for I was very
worried that her gums would still be sore. If they were I had not one
peep out of her and now if I do my teeth in the bathroom and
she is with me we have to do hers. She insists. Now it would
be nice if I could tell you that brush made her teeth super
white and shiny but come on, they are new, it isn't like they
have had a chance to get worn and dirty so I won't make such
a silly claim but what I will tell you is it did not hurt her, fit very
easy into her mouth and was easy to maneuver. In fact this Totz
line for older kids is just as easy for I made my son try it.
Now the funny part there and don't tell him I told you, is instead
of using his fancy job that costs a fortune he is using that still
for it is so soft and still gets his teeth done right. I feel bad for
the boy that he has my teeth but at least now he has a brush that
works for him!

Radius has a full line of brushes and all have the same
excellent standards and designs and they even have an Intelligent
brush that lets you know when you have brushed long enough
and when you should check for wear. For that one you just
replace the heads and the handle last forever to save you some
cash! There is also a Scuba with a flexible head so you
can get your whole mouth and not just you teeth. Talk about
fresh! Need more? Well they have floss and travel cases and
have you covered in every way they can. In fact after my review
and all I learned I think they should be number one on the
list, mega advertising budget or not. Before I had not heard of them,
now I don't know how I lived without them. I have to say I never
thought I would get excited about a toothbrush but I did. Tomorrow
I am going to tell my neighbors!

Radius is going to let some readers find out for themselves
how good they are. 3 of my readers are going to win a brush.
Either the Kidz, Totz and Pure Baby. To enter just head over to
the site and look around then come back here and post what you
thought was the best brush or feature and what one of the three
you would pick. The contest will start tonight and run to midnight

Patient Style Review and Giveaway!

Nobody wants to be sick, that's a fact. And an
even bigger fact is nobody wants to be in the
hospital and I for one can't stand it at all. I
am about the biggest baby when it comes to pain
and even more so with needles but Hospitals, eeeww
I am shivering just thinking about it. In the last
few years I have been in patient more times then I
would have liked. The first one was when I had a
major surgery about 4 years ago. I knew going in
I would be in there for around 4 days, I should
have been prepared and truth be told the first day
I had the surgery went by and I could not have told
you one thing about that day I was so doped up.
The second day I was in and out but by the third
I was done hitting that little be no more pain button
that pumps Morphine into you whenever you press
it. I could only think of going home. When my
Doctor made his morning rounds he asked how I
was doing and I told him fine, I want to go home.
At first he laughed it off and tried to change the
subject but I was adamant about going home and
kept coming back to it. His final question was,
"are you sure you would be alright at home?"
and I explained that all I was doing was laying in
bed here and I could do that just as well in my
own bed. He said he would sign the discharge
papers as long as I promised to come back at the
first sign of anything hinkey! I agreed and he left.
Soon after the nurse came and I told her I was
going to call for my ride and she told me it would
take a while for the discharge to go through. I told
her that was fine, I needed to get my stuff together.
This was at 7 am and my idea of a while was an
hour or so and I now know her idea was a lot
different. I waited 45 minutes and called home for
a ride. It was about a 30 minute drive and 15
minutes later the nurse was still not back to have
me sign away my life. I paged her and she was
shocked to see me packed to go, all I had left to do
was get the IV removed. I asked her about the papers
and she told me that they would be ready in the
afternoon sometime. I explained my ride was already
in route and I could not wait that long because to me
that was like waiting a whole other day. She said she
would go see if she could speed it up and I waited
another 20 minutes before I just took the IV out myself.
Boy was she mad! The next few times I was in the
hospital pretty much went the same way the last being
when I had Rowan for when I had Andrew they were
sending you home in 24 hours and now they make
you wait at least 48. I wanted to go home the next
morning and threw a fit. To keep me there my doctor
wrote me a day pass so I could leave the floor and
walk out side. He did me a big favor for the Hospital
was none to pleased but he knew me well and knew
I would just go home if he didn't do something to let
me get some air and fast. Anything to avoid being
there. Well, if I would have had some of the items
this next review has I might have stayed a little longer.
I can't say for sure but I surely would have been more
comfortable each time.
Patient Style has all sorts of fabulous luxury
items for people who need it the most. Those
poor souls trapped in the Vampire wards without
a sympathetic Doctor like mine who allowed me
to wander about. From Expecting Moms to the
little bundles them self to the guy a few wards
over who is forced to survive on Jello and bad
jokes from his tone deaf room mate with a penance
for song, Patient Style has you covered. Literally.
They have gowns that offer a snap down back so
your booty is not hanging out for the world too
see, or even that Sadist Nurse that keeps poking
you for no reason. I swear she made up reasons!
Blood, blood, blood, we need more blood. I can't
make enough blood for that lady, just what is she
doing with it all? The gowns not only come in a
bevy of designer fashions they are also 100% cotton
and if you have a nurse that doesn't delight in your
pain like mine did they also offer PJ's as well!
Ladies, Gents and Kids! They even have some
lightweight cotton Robes that are super soft and also
warm and just pretty enough where you might feel
like you have to strut your stuff walking down the
halls!

For Moms they have Nursing covers and
some of the most adorable Baby items such as Blankets
and Gowns, Swaddlers and Slings. I completely gushed
at the Animal themed Swaddle blankets and I am so
bummed I missed them when Rowan was little for
they absolutely to die for! The Little Bee had me
laughing so hard I was in tears! For review I was
sent a pair of their Anti-microbial Socks in Chenille.
These puppies are so soft and comfy I feel like I am
walking on little clouds of silky air and I need about
20 more pair now for I am wearing them, tossing
them in the wash and walking around barefoot to
they dry then wearing them some more for I just
have fallen completely and totally head over heals
in love with these. I have never felt a softer sock
and you guys, Shhhhhhh, 2 things, one, no laughing
and 2, well 3 things for 2 is no laughing too and 3
is don't tell everyone, Gezz, it isn't like I want this
in public, but I have a thing about socks. When I
was working I spent 10-12 hours on my feet every
day. Now I had to wear dress clothes to work such
as suits and dresses and skirts but for shoes I
needed something that matched and was comfortable.
Even more so on the comfort part for I am also in
the kitchen at times. They only thing that worked for
this was dress boots. I must have owned 30 pairs.
Now the thing is you wear Boots for 10-12 hours
a day where that time is spent on your feet, in
and out of sweltering kitchens and then frozen
walk-ins and then back to the kitchen. Other
times you are standing in a dish room that is
always flooded and a hose that leaks a constant
flow over your legs and feet. Just think what your
feet will be like by the end of the day. Now picture
it ten times worse and you will almost be there.
That gross. It was then I developed this sock thing
and every week I would stop at Target and grab a
couple of packs of Gym Socks for when I came home
at night I would take them off and throw them away
for they truly were that gross! SO sweaty and grimy
I knew I would never touch them again. Now shake
that thought out of your head. Now if I had been
wearing these socks I might not have been able to
do it! They are that spectacular! So soft you could
also cuddle with them! Wow, I just listened to my
self and I think I am border line fetish, I had better
move on!

Now you don't have to be in the Hospital to
benefit from Patient Style. A friend or loved one there
can too! ( pst, another little secrete is a lot of their
items would work just as well in the comfort of your
own home. Patient Style even has gift baskets you are
just not going to get at the Hospital gift shop. They
have pre-made baskets to deal with just about every
reason someone you know might be there in the first
place. Now I never know just what to say and have
the worst time thinking of a get well gift for anyone.
My thing is cooking and Baking and I think the people
who tend to the prisoner, er, I mean patients, might
object if I wheeled in a Lasagna and a bottle of wine
with some Bread Pudding with Vanilla Glaze on top.
Instead grab one of their super reasonably priced, way
more affordable then the 16 dollar rattle I bought for
Rowan when she was there that first week, baskets.
They come in common ailments such as Cancer, Heart,
Diabetes and Pain Relief as well as a general get
well basket. They also have Ones for Mommy to
be, Mommy now and even baby and children. I
got a kick out of the one children's basket for
they named it the Boredom Buster. Now I pray I
will never need a gift for a child but this would
be it should my prayers ever fail. I have got to
say, sadly I have been in a lot of Hospital gift
shops in my time and I have never seen items
as refreshing as this. Not one thing in any of
the Baskets will get them in trouble with Nurse
Ratchet and when they leave they have a hand
