Gelpro Review and Giveaway!

DO  you spend more time on your feet then anywhere
else? Work all day then come home and spend hours
cooking and cleaning and doing laundry. By the end
of the day are your feet screaming in protest? When
you spend so much time on your feet it isn't just
your feet that suffer it is your whole body. Your
feet and back may feel the brunt of the burden but
all of your muscles and bones are complaining as well,
just not as loud. Many people deal with this on a
regular basis and I was one of them. For the 20 something
years I worked I averaged around 60 hours a week and
most of those were spent on my feet. I had a bad back
going into it but those years also were kind enough to
reward me with heel spurs and trips to the Podiatrist.
I took every caution I could and bought the best shoes
I could and in later years even orthopedic, not very
attractive but so much better for my feet and I remember
some nights when I came home it was all I could do to
pry my shoes off my swollen feet and soak them in hot water
then crawl into bed praying for relief by the morning.
It is also not often I get a chance to bring you a product
review of an item I know so much about but if you spend
a lot of time standing and walking then you really need
to know about this next one and I am so happy to be able
to bring it too you.

For many years the Restaurant industry has used
Fatigue Mats behind bars and let me tell you they work.
At one point Oil was spilled all over ours and when
I say someone spilled oil on it I mean a vat of oil not
just a cup and they all had to be pulled out and soaked
in degreaser for the weekend to see if there was any
hope of saving them. Another little known fact, and I hope
this does not stop you from eating fried foods but oil eats
plastic if left to soak. To many competing chemicals and
restaurants in general are full of them. I used to go through a
pair of shoes per month due to the cleaning products from the
floors alone at work. Ewwwe! Any who weekends are busy and
we happened to be short staffed so I spent a lot of time back there
helping the bartenders. I never knew how much those mats
helped to I worked that weekend without them. Not only
were my feet the size of footballs I had blisters on
blisters and spent my entire day off with my feet elevated
and soaking in Epsom salt. The pain! Many times had I done
what I did that weekend and I have never had that problem
before. It was the mats. The old saying is true, you never
know what you have to it is gone. The fatigue mats not
only save your feet and back they give you more energy
for your body naturally has better posture and is not
working so hard to cushion your impact for the mat does
that job for you. Now the commercial mats are huge and
well, a little unattractive and I never thought of putting
one in my home. Since my back has been bad though I have
found myself wishing I had one several times for just standing
at the sink and doing dishes has often caused me great
discomfort. Cooking a large meal is even worse and on
the Holidays I literally had to break what I did down to
days and segments for I just could not stand that long.
As ugly as those mats are if you were to ask me if I wanted
one those days I would have screamed yes at the top of my
lungs and jumped up and down like a little kid when they
put it in! Most commercial mats passed up ugly long ago
and offer nothing in the way of style but when your feet
and back hurt who cares, you would wear a Tutu and combat
boots if it meant you would hurt less.
A couple of days ago I was flipping through some sites
and then had to hit rewind. Was that a fatigue mat? Correction,
was that a fatigue mat that looked good? Was that a mat that
not only looked good it was meant for home use? I can't believe
I was looking at it! For the first time in forever I was shocked
to see something from my job that I would enjoy having in
my home. Well, now that they made a few adjustments like adding
style. Gel Pro has taken those super ugly commercial fatigue mats
and made them super fashionable mats for home use and in sizes
that will fit every room. They are perfect for the kitchen,
bathroom and laundry room, or even Dad in his work area and
once you use one for a couple of days you will wonder how you
ever got by without them. The difference is drastic.
GelPro has several different sized floor mats as well as
seat cushions and place mats and a selection of colors and
patterns to match any home. Each Mat is specially designed to
help with back problems and foot problems by offering an cushion
and comforts you just can't get on a solid floor no matter how
good your shoes are. Their special core makes them the perfect
shock absorber and instead of your feet, legs and back taking
the impact the mat absorbs it. Something as simple as shuffling
your feet can put a strain on your body and while you do not
realize it as you do it often at the end of the day when you
get a chance to rest it all comes back to you at once. GelPros
mats eliminate those aches and pains at bedtime and allow you
to truly relax when you deserve it! Unlike the commercial mats
I used GelPro went for style and they redesigned the mats and
only used the better materials that are out there to accomplish
this feat. GelPro Mats are going to last forever and do not wear
out like your back and feet do. Why not let something else take
the impact off of your poor tired body! GelPro spent forever
developing something you will be proud to show off and still not loose
its purpose. They managed to keep all the benefits of a fatigue mat in
tack and still come up with a product that you would be proud
to have your mother in law see. Speaking of style, they have seven
different variety's and loads of colors to choose from and
add in all the different sizes and the combinations you can create
are endless. I am a simple kind of girl so for review I just picked
a basic black with the basket weave and let me tell you I love
it. It goes perfect with my kitchen and my black and silver decor'
and no more standing at the sink cleaning out 42 zillion baby bottles
to only have to hobble away because of my aching feet and back.
The bathroom and the Laundry area will be my next venture and I
would love to upgrade the GelPro mat in the kitchen to a larger
one for with as much cooking as I do it would be a dream to have my
whole floor covered. One more cool thing is right now they have
a special going on where is your order one of their Designer mats
they are going to send you a 18x24 spot mat for free. That is a 70
dollar value and now you can do two rooms for the price of one.
I can't stop thinking about how much money in Bengay I will save alone
if I hit up the kitchen and bath! GelPro is just one of those places
that you can't go wrong with, good prices, awesome styles and
they manufacture a product that is great for you too! Next time you
spend a whole day in the kitchen, go out and dance, don't spend your
evening soaking your feet!

Luster One Hour White and 3 Day White Review and Giveaway!

Okay you guys, I know I am going to get a
lot of moans and groans here but I smoke. I have
for more years then I can count. I started as a
teenager, victim to peer pressure. I am not proud
of it but I was just another lemming jumping off the
cliff. I have tried to quit many times over the years
but I have that weight phobia of mine and every time
I tried it was like parking my butt at the counter in
Basken Robbins to I ate at least 30 of the flavors,
twice! I will keep on trying for I know it bothers my
son and ever since he started pre-school there hasn't
been a day that has gone by where he has not expressed
his displeasure. The other bad problem I have is caffeine.
I drink a boat load of coffee every single day. Minimum,
5 pots, maximum, over 10 on a long day. I have also
cut back a lot for a few years ago I had some major surgery
and for it I could not eat a thing for 2 days before and
drinking anything the last 24 hours. When I was wheeled out
of recovery I had a Morphine drip with one of those little
buttons you can press anytime you feel any discomfort and
I also had a pump. Those new things where they have
a direct line to where you are in pain and you wear it for
like a week then pull this wire out to remove it. Kinda yucky
but it sure works. The Doctor came in a bit later to check on
me and asked if I was in pain and I told him I know I
shouldn't be but my head was killing me. It was as bad as a
Migraine but it wasn't one. In fact my head has never hurt
like that before or again. He was confused and asked it I
had listened to him and not had anything to eat or drink like
he told me. I told him I was good but I might have snuck in
my last cup of coffee an hour or so past the deadline. He
laughed and then paused and asked just how much coffee did
I drink a day. I told him and he shook his head and said he
would be back. When he did come back a bit later I was almost
in tears for my head felt like someone was chopping it in two with
a dull spoon. He had an IV bag and hooked it up explaining
this would stop my headache and fast too. I tried to joke and
said I am quiet sure that with one more pain killer I will end
up sound asleep. He informed me it wasn't a pain killer and no
way would I be asleep anytime soon. It was an IV of pure Caffeine.
He said I was addicted to it and it was something you needed
to ween yourself off for going cold turkey could cause a lot
of problems. That is how much coffee I drank, an IV of pure
caffeine just to get me back to normal. The point here is I drank
so much coffee and have smoked for so long it has really done
a number on my teeth. Bad! Stained so dark around the edges
they have passed up yellow and turned a shade of brown. I don't
care how many times I brush them a day and what kind of
toothpaste I use it just doesn't go away. I wanted to get the
Zoom at the dentists but I could not justify spending a $1,000
something dollars on a problem that would just come back.
Andrew also has a problem with his teeth. When he
was younger he caught a virus that the only symptom he has
was a fever. It also affected his teeth. Thank the stars he only
had two adult teeth at the time but it settled in those and it
happened to be his top two front so it is very visible and turned
them a grayish yellow. He hates it but the only way to fix it,
or so I thought, was Lumiere's and until he has all his teeth
it isn't worth it. The result is Andrew seldom smiles and never
smiles with his mouth open. He is very self conscious about it
and I feel so bad for him. I ruined mine all by myself but his
was not his fault and until then I never even knew a virus could
do something like that. It has also been hard on him for he always
feels like people think he doesn't brush his teeth and now that
he is a teenager it bothers him even more for they are just
naturally more self conscience.

I got the chance to review some products for Luster and
jumped on it. I had heard some good things about the teeth
whitening systems in general and though I had little hopes of
a drastic change I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a whirl.
I got to try two of their systems. The 3 day and the one hour
white. The three day came first and I received it a while ago and
was waiting on the 1 hour to do them both at the same time.
Turns out we couldn't wait for Andrew was so anxious to try
he dove right into the 3 day a couple of days after it came.
I will tell you about that one first but before I dig into it I also
want to let you guys know we finished both of the reviews a
couple of weeks ago and I held off telling you about it for with
a product like this I wanted to make sure the results would last.
I would hate to point you in the direction of a product and then
have the results only be a temporary thing. Just like any wrinkle
cream or other product that would change your cosmetic appearance
I feel the results can't really be judged until you live with them
for a while. I say this because I bought an eye cream once after
reading a review and paid a small fortune, I am talking over 100
bucks here. The results in the review were that impressive and I
get puffy dark circles under my eyes. This was supposed to be a
miracle cream and I bought into it hook line and sinker. It worked,
it was amazing and the puffiness gone, dark circles gone, I used
it every single day for the bottle said the longer you use it the
better the results and it will pretty much heal your skin of all
ailments and though each bottle of the cream lasts only a couple
of weeks if you used it for 90 days it would be just like getting
a face lift and your baggy eyes would stay young and vibrant
looking. HOOK-LINE-SINKER. $400.00 dollars later I had my
90 days in and thought, shew, glad that dolling out the dough part
is over now I can just enjoy. Within a few days my eyes were
as puffy and icky as ever. I called to speak to them for there was
a guarantee and they explained that worked on the basis if I was not
happy they would send me a new bottle, not my money back. HUH?
You have to love small print. I spoke to a friend of mine who works
in the medical field and found out that the active ingredient in the
cream was pretty much the same stuff as what was in Preparation-H
and that's why it worked while you used it and it would never be a
product that would have lasting results. Since then I make sure things
work like they say and stay working before I post the full review for
if they don't I want to tell you before you sink a house payment into
something like I did!

On to Andrew. He got it and it was really simple to use. There
is a special mouthwash you use then a bottle of the whitener. The
mouthwash is like an activator. Andrew was to use his for 3 days
3 times a day. He did this over a long weekend and stayed home
instead of going to his Dads for we wanted to make sure he remembered
and did it right. It was super easy for him to do and I swear by the
end of the first day you could see results. He didn't but he was also
trying very hard not to get his hopes up. By day two even he could
not deny the results. On day three he was humming as he applied it
for he was so excited with the first two days results. This is a
boy who has not had an open mouth smile since he was 8 and I swear,
and he will kill me, I caught him practicing smiles in the bathroom mirror
towards the end of day 3. On the forth morning he was done and
I was stunned at the results. So was he! Other then a little dis-coloring
near the edges you would not believe these were the same teeth.
Now I am not going to lie to you, if you look in the bright light
you can see the dis-coloring for it is his whole tooth that is
discolored, I mean the tooth too, not just the surface and there is
not way for any product to get inside the tooth. That is why a
dentist said Lumiere's for a permanent covering is the only way to
fix it and that isn't fixing it but covering it instead. With the
Luster 3 day he got close to the same results and it was so
much easier and the boy smiled! An Open Mouth Smile. In
turn so did I, how could I not when I saw how happy he was.
Now Andrews was done a month ago now and they are still as
good as they were on the morning of day four. The boy is thrilled
and so am I for I just can't afford the Lumiere's and it broke my
heart to have to tell him that. Now he is tickled pink and the
funny part is I have to remind him to smile now for he is so used
to not smiling. So our review, or I should say Andrews on
Luster's 3 day white, PERFECT!! I could not say enough good
things about it and Andrew feels like he has hit the jackpot
bonanza lately with the 3 day white for his teeth and the Yu-Be
Cream for his dry elbows. Five stars all the way!

Now for the one hour white. I did that. Now remember
Andrews teeth were stained a different way then mine. Mine would
be your normal staining but with the amount of coffee I drink and
the 27 years of smoking, mine were much worse. I had plans on
doing the 3 Day and Andrew the one hour but he couldn't wait
for the other one and I hadn't the heart to make him. I really did
not think a 1 hour anything could help mine for I don't want to
be gross but my teeth were very very stained. So much in fact,
the edges of my teeth were brown and looked tarry. Sorry if you
just ate but I feel you guys need to know the truth to understand
if something works or not. Now I broke open the 1 Hour and
it sorta had the same thing as Andrews but also included this
light thing. I had to use the wash, then the whitener then hold this
light up to my mouth for 2 minutes and repeat it up to 20 times
in an hour. So out of 60 minutes that is 40 with the light.
Now not everyone would have to do that long and the directions say
that but since mine were really bad so I went the full 20 times.
It is kind of a pain but when you measure that against the
fact those trays take a while too and you have to do them for
a lot more then an hour it seems like a more then fair trade off
for me. I did do a kit once that was a tray and I had to wear it
for an hour in the morning and an hour at night for 10 days and
that was a pain for if you forget you needed to start over. With this
it says up to 20 times and if you skip one its fine as long as you
get most of them in. I was really excited to do this for it was
the same day I used the Head Organics shampoo and wanted
to go out and show off my hair and was really hoping for good
results here for I had some lip stick I was aching to wear but
always skipped for it is bright and I also, like Andrew did not
like attracting attention to my mouth. I know it is only an hour
but I will tell you it is a hard wait. One of the longest hours
of my life and since you are holding that light you can't take
you mind off of it buy doing something else. When I was done
though, IT WAS WORTH IT! My teeth looked awesome Baby!
I could not believe it worked. Let me repeat that, IT WORKED!
I got to use my lipstick and go out and smile
SMILE
SMILE
In fact everyone in this house loves to smile now! Now unlike
Andrew who does not do anything to stain his teeth other then
natural wear I still smoke and drink a lot of Coffee so I thought
mine wouldn't hold up well at all. So far they have! I can't say
for how long they will stay looking so nice and white for it was
only about 2 years ago when I did that 10 day whitener program
and my teeth looked really bad before that and that time after a
month they were already starting to look bad again. With the 1
hour it has been almost 3 weeks and no signs at all yet. I am
much more hopeful that this will last longer for so far so great!
Plus hey, I know it is not a good excuse to keep smoking and
drinking coffee but if they change again I can always fix them in
an hour. Alright, down yell, I understand I am just making excuses
to keep doing my bad habits but tell those guys over at Luster to
stop making products that work so well for it isn't me, they are
the ones enabling me.
( Crosses fingers and hopes lame excuse sounds better to
you then it did me!)
All in all it has been 6 weeks for Andrew and 3 for me
and both of us are delighted with the results. Neither of us have
noticed the results reverting back to how they were and both
were super happy with the end results. I would say Andrews
teeth were brightened by at least 5 shades. Other then the two
stained teeth his were pretty good to start with and that makes
it hard to judge but the two that were are a remarkable difference.
On my teeth I know the box says 6 shades but I swear it went
way over that. I forgot to take a close up photo of the before
and didn't realize the one I had taken recently doesn't clearly show
them but you can see how dark they are. I have an after so you
be the judge but I feel they went from a muddy water yellow to
an off white and I can so live with that! In fact it makes me smile!
Rock on Luster!

Luster would like to make you smile too and they are
going to give one of my readers a 1 Hour White System too!

Divvies Review and Giveaway!

We have eaten a lot of food that is good for you.
Everything from Gluten free, to dairy free and Vegan
to all Natural and Organic. Some were for review and
some were for the heck of it and some I was experimenting
with some recipes for a couple of friends and family
members. I go all out for the Holidays and also a couple
times a year I put together seasonal gift baskets of home maid
Candy's and baked goods for my Neighbors and friends and
family and I learned the hard way some of them were strict
vegan and a couple diabetics and could not eat pretty much
anything in the baskets. I found new homes for them but
felt like a heel for not asking in the first place and went
out of my way to learn some recipes they could eat and put
a basket together just for them. I have about 10 things I
make for them and they love them. Out of all the reviews
and store bought items and even the stuff I have learned
to make I have always wondered one thing.

How do people eat this stuff?

Never have I tasted something from one of those category's where
I went, "Oh, my Golly Gee Jumping Jahiminees, I can't wait to
go out and get this again!" Now the freeze dried fruit snacks
I have tried were good, I will give them that. I will keep them
in the house for I am a fruit fanatic and buy too much at one
time for you guys know how I hate the Grocery store, and most of
the fruit ends up going to waste. I just threw away a bunch of
Oranges today in fact. The dried fruit tastes pretty much the
same as the fresh and has the same nutritional value so yes,
I will most likely always have it in the house. But I don't stay
up at night and think about it. I have never once said, "Hey,
John, Andrew, you know what I really want right now? An Apple!"
They are just one of those things that are there or not. You
don't stress, you don't panic and you really don't crave. I have
never once in my life seen a person go out at 8 PM to run up to
the fruit stand and grab an Apple. I have yet to see a person
sit down an gorge on a whole bushel of them for they are so
good you just couldn't stop eating them. Birthday parties don't
end the evening with an Apple and a candle and you don't gaze
lovingly into your sweethearts eyes after a romantic dinner and
say " baby, want to share an apple with me?"
Now take that Apple and put it in a strudel or a pie and you
have a deal. Face it, people love sweets and can't get enough
of them. If it wasn't true Hostess would have stopped with
the Twinkies and not made tons of other snack cakes. Basken
Robbins would have only one flavor and Dairy Queen would
be out of business ( an Apple Stand maybe?) and Chocolate
Thunder from down under would have a whole other meaning.
We Want Cake!!
And Cookies!
And Pie!
And Candy!
And Chocolate!
We want it often and it better be good! Organic, Gluten free,
Dairy free, Egg free, Not so good! Thank you, I will take the
Apple.
I got the chance to do a review for Divvies. I always try these
places for you never know. One of these days lightening might
strike but I pretty much have given up on holding my breath. Now
I want to feed my kids and my self healthy. I do have that goal
in mind but you just can't tell your kids, hey, I know you wanted
some Jelly Beans in your Easter Basket but I thought some Tofu
Dingies would be better! You will get the glazed over stare and
Blink
Blink
"Say what Mom?"
Sometimes you have to let them have the real thing and hope some
day a person will have that magic touch and do a healthy goodie
the right way instead of cardboard with a cherry! When the Divvies
came they were in a big box and it was jammed packed full of all
sorta of treats. Cookies and Jelly Beans and Candy bars and Pop-
corn. When I say full I mean really, really full! As if that was
not enough it also came with a box with a dozen Cup Cakes you
could frost and decorate your self so they stayed super fresh.
Now if I didn't know how they were made I would have been Hyper-
ventilating just looking at them and all that Delicious chocolate
and baked goods, I am not the worlds biggest candy bar eater
but I love chocolate. I mean not like LIKE Love But LOVE LOVE
as the kids say! BUT, I knew and groaned for if it tastes like
a lot of other foods of this caliber it would end up going to
waste for even the boys won't touch it and they eat almost anything,
even those 20 cent fruit pies that taste like sawdust and wax fruit.
Egg free, Dairy free products, not even with a ten foot pole.
Andrew was the first one in the house and saw the box, he just
about started to jump up and down like he did when he was 5 and
you gave him a charm pop and then paused.
"Review?"
"Yeah"
"Of?"
"Sweets!"
"Yeah, catch?"
"I don't know what you mean."
"Fat Free?"
"Nope."
Gluten free?"
"Nope."
"Taste Free?"
"Nope."
"Come on Mom, whats the," Just then he saw the folder on the table.
Before I caught on he already had it in his hands.
"No Eggs? You need eggs to make half of this stuff! Milk too!"
"Not this stuff Andy."
"I don't see you diggen in Mom. No thanks I will pass."
"Um, Andrew, we have a deal. You help me with the food reviews and
items that are for everyone and you get to keep some of the cool stuff
we review."
"I helped you with the last one like this and I can still taste it."
"You also helped with the steaks and got a really good filet I never
would have given you if we didn't have this deal."
"Come on, feed it to John, he doesn't know yet and just don't tell him."
"Look Andrew."
"Come on Mom, I really.................
Just then John walked in the Door and straight to the kitchen. I didn't
tell you but Divvies comes in a really pretty product box with the most
gorgeous bow and looks like it comes from some French Bakery and like
it would be super expensive. John walked in the kitchen and the box was
still sitting on the table. Bow and all. Filled with Goodies and that
man loves his sweets. Don't ever let him know you have anything chocolate
it you ever want to see it again.
"Is this for everyone?"
"yeah" Andrew blurted before I could speak.
"Cool." He grabbed a couple of the cookie packs and walked out.
I started to give Andrew the glare down for though he didn't lie I felt
like he had omitted the truth and he knows I hate it when he tries to
be sneaky. He was shuffling his feet, looking down. Rowan was sitting in
her high chair trying to reach the box. John came walking back into the
room before I could say something for Andrew and we both thought the
jig was up. In truth I thought he was on his way to the garbage to
toss the cookie out.
"Hey, you guys mind if I get a couple more of those before they are
gone?"
"You mean you like them?" Not me, that was Andrew.
"AH, I wouldn't say like. I like your Moms Cookies, these are gourmet
and even your mom can't compete with that."
"You mean they are that good?" I couldn't help it, I had to ask.
"UH, Yeah, why? Whats wrong with them? Were they like really day
old or something and you got a good deal on them? You better not
have paid a small fortune for them like that 25 dollar pie you
bought. Tell me I didn't just eat 100 bucks worth of cookies?"
As I was looking for a good answer Andrew was already making a mad
dash for the box. John was trying to get his hand into grab some
more cookies as Andrew was pulling out what he wanted and that
was half the box or more for the most part. I grabbed a cookie and
the packs hold two so I gave one to Rowan who the guys were totally
ignoring as they were too busy shoving their faces full. I knew by
now they had to be good for Andrew wasn't even talking, just eating and
that boy never shuts up. But I was still a little afraid to
try them. This was all the stuff I liked to eat best in the world and
I agreed with Andrew. I just do not know how you could make a cookie,
let alone a Cupcake without eggs. How could it be good? Rowan was
now lost in the same world as the boys happily munching away. I still
held the cookie in my hand. Well, I know it isn't terrible, just look
at the rest of my family. Did Andrew grunt? I could have sworn I heard
him grunt. They were really shoving it down and now the Jelly beans were
being opened. What are we, Willy Wonka here? They are getting a little
carried away.
"Mom, can we frost the cupcakes?"
I looked over and Andrew was rubbing the box like it was his new
best friend and John was shoving Jelly Beans in his mouth nodding.
"Fine." As Andrew started tearing into the packaging I took a nibble
of the cookie in my hand Rowan was straining to get.
Chew Chew Chew, Swallow.
Woah. "Let me grab the knife!"

Less then an hour later every single item in the box was gone and
we didn't even eat dinner. It was that good. Wait, it was sensational.
Not only do Divvies not taste like they are missing anything if you
were to compare them in a blind taste test with any other pre-packaged
item such as Entenmann's, Pepperidge Farm and others it would not even be
a contest. Divvies would blow them out of the water. I can't even compare
them to home maid for I have never have eaten a home maid item that was
this moist and Rich and scrumptious. TO be honest with you when I do
a review I seldom speak to the sponsor from the time we arrange delivery
to the time I post the link. I do not wish to be on friendly terms with
them no matter how much I might like them for I would not want it to
influence my review in anyway. I speak to them prior and 99.9 percent
of the sponsors I speak too are fantastic people and I would love to
keep talking to them for we all know how much I love to talk but I
need that distance for I do not want to confuse the fact that I like them
with the fact I like their product. I NEVER tell them how the review is
going until it is completed and the first time they read it is the
same time you do. I don't do affiliate programs for the same reason, my
reviews are an impartial opinion to help you decide what items to buy
without having to go through the same research process I go through. So
you get the best value for you dollar. If I were to join an affiliate
program I would profit every time you bought that item via my site and
that is throwing my impartial standing out the window so I just don't
do that either, other then Amazon for they sell everything and
not only do I shop there I offer the link for your convenience and
don't shove it down your throat. Any ways, the point is I have never
spoken to a sponsor from that conformation letter to I send them the
letter letting them know the review was posted. With Divvies and
that first night I had to rush to the computer and send them an email
for I was that flabbergasted at how spectacular they really were. Their
items are so rich and flavorful they reminded me of this Bakery right
in the heart of Greek Town where they sell fresh, handmaid confections
that are so fantastic people will drive hours to get them and
wait in an hour line at midnight on a Friday night to take
them home. Even before the Casino's hit Detroit this place was packed
from open to close and Divvies are as good as if not better then
them. Their Kettle Corn is the only thing I can give any sort of
comparison too for when Andrew was like 8 we took a road trip
through DC and then Atlantic City, New York and on the way home
through Pennsylvania we stopped at Hersey's theme park that had a
fresh Kettle Corn Kiosk complete with an old fashioned Copper Kettle
and I bought a bag on the way out for I had never had Kettle Corn
before. I was more then an hour away when I opened the bag to grab
some for Andrew had this huge sampler box of Hersey's Candy and it
was driving me nuts knowing he could eat a sweet treat and with my
perpetual diet I could not. I thought Popcorn would keep my mind
off of his darn chomping. I took one bite and turned the car
around and went back to buy more. Well people at Divvies and
readers of the Blog, turn the car around for I need more. Mouth
watering and delectable. They will leave you wondering what is
so special about eggs and milk to begin with! I wonder if I camp
out on their front lawn will they send me another box to get me
to leave. I can wear fuzzy Bunny Slippers, Hair Roller's, Long Johns
with the drop butt and bring my kids to chant, "More for Michelle,
More for Michelle," to I get one more box! Even more so, my son,
who never uses his own money for anything when he can just wait
for me to ask him to run to CVS and grab something an disappear the
change, asked me how much they cost and if he gives me the
money would I order something for him. He has never done that
in his entire life. He even manages to get the money for my own
Christmas present out of me. If  Mr. Money Hoarder is willing to
dig into his own pockets to buy Divvies you can not get a better
testimonial. That good!
Divvies knows you just can't always take one word for it, some
times it takes more. To honor that they are going to give one of
my readers a Smorg Gift Box filled with chocolate caramel popcorn;
caramel popcorn; Divvies Chocolate BingGo bar; peppermint &
chocolate BingGo bar; super stars gummy candies; blue rock candy;
and five two-packs of chocolate chip cookies. Let me know about
yours too for a lot of those we didn't get and I am dieing to try!

Vitalicious Review and Giveaway!

Who's says people who live on a diet never get
to eat anything good!
I used to!
I I have been on a diet since 1984 and used to struggle
for everything I ate was nasty and was diet food! Can
you believe that? How dare they put diet food in my
diet stuff! I went for years and ate things like lettuce
with mushrooms and green peppers and lemon juice
as a dressing. Those are really low calorie
veggies even in veggie world and I tried to stay under
800 calories a day. The sad part was I weighed like 120
pounds back then at was 5'9" and did not even need
to be anywhere near a diet. I have just always been too
chicken I would gain a pound to put anything in my mouth
that might add a millimeter of an ounce to the scale.
When I hit my 20s such dieting habits became more
of a detriment then a way to keep me in shape. I would
hold off eating anything but the bare necessity's for so long
I would literally crave something to the point of desperation
and over eat like a mad woman. At times even making myself
sick. What happened next? You guessed it, my weight
went up and down faster then a Duncan Yo Yo. I could
literally gain, lose and gain back 20 pounds in a month.
I ended up making myself pretty unhealthy that way and
though I was pretty darn toot en thin I also ended up
with Mono and in bed for a month. As I grew older I
realized that you should rule what you eat not the other
way around and took some nutrition classes. The most
valuable lesson I learned has kept me in shape since
then and I can now enjoy the foods I want, when I want
and never gain an ounce. In fact I often loose weight
without even trying and though I go on and on about
still having extra weight from giving birth to Rowan the
truth is I am just frustrated that the first 60-70 pounds
fell off and now it is coming off at a much slower pace,
maybe a pound or two a month. BUT, it is still coming off.
What I learned was not some secrete way of life or wonder
drug but just some common sense that if I followed when I
was younger I never would have struggled a day in my
life. What I learned is:
1. Make sure at least half of what you eat is fresh
fruit or veggies.
2. Do not diet. All it will do it make you feel like you
are depriving yourself and you WILL gorge later.
3. Make sure you get your vitamins. I don't care if
you get it through food or a supplement, just get them.
They keep your body running at peak performance.
4. Get sleep. At least 8 hours a day. If we let our body's
get worn out they slow down and so will your metabolism
and whatever you do eat your body will store, even
if you eat only 900 calories a day it will all stick to your
thighs!
5. Eat several small meals a day. Try to eat at least 6-8
small meals a day or more if you can. Graze! It keeps your
bodies metabolism running all day long and you will
always be burning calories.
Eat like that and wait like a month and jump on the
scale and you will be surprised. Now for what you eat.
Make it anything you want. I try to eat healthy but still
hit sweets like they are nobodies get out. It works for me
but you have to remember the sweets I eat are not
necessarily bad for you. I have a family history of
diabetes that is a large concern. My Grandfather was
borderline and my mother has it so I have always been
careful to error on the side of caution. One of the things
hardest to handle with that little ditty and I added to my eating
plan is finding items that are sweet, taste good and not
filled with loads of sugar, preservatives, additives, junk
and 4,000 calories a bite. I have found the 100 calorie
packs perfect for me because they allow me to keep with
my small meals rule and taste something sweet and
defiantly out of the dessert category or morning goodies
like donuts and muffins I had been taking a pass on.
When I got the chance to do a review for Vitalicious. I
was all into it. These guys are so right up my alley. Sweet
Treats, 100 calorie packs, all the flavors I love but then
saw the add vitamins and goodness. Hey, I am all for
vitamins and goodness but I try to get that in my veggies
and fruit for in my experience the sweet cookies and cakes
and yummy yummy items always taste a little funny and I
try to stay clear of anything in that department. I said healthy,
not nasty. Still, the review was on the way and I might as
well give them a shot.

Well it is time to eat my words, or this here Muffin!
Vitamuffins are Vitalicious! I was sent of box of mixed items
for review and those guys just happened to send a lot
of my favorite flavors! Each Muffin or Muffy for they
remind me of Panaras Muffys are really soft and tasty
and super good. The fact they have extra nutrients and
vitamins is an added perk you really don't care about
once you get a taste. What Vitamuffin has done is take
a great tasting snack and tossing it into 100 calorie
servings so instead of over eating your favorite treat
you get just the right amount for it is not what we eat
but rather how much we eat that get us in trouble now
a days. Super size this, double size that and a big gulp
isn't enough we need a super duper double jumbo big
gulp to quench our thirst. Vitamuffens saw this trend as
the problem it was years before the 100 calorie packs
we see everywhere today hit the shelf's and are a pioneer
in their field. With tasty treats such as Muffins, Tops, Cakes,
Brownies and drink mixes they make it easy to eat just
the right amount and unlike the retail versions you see
from other brands Vitalicious makes sure theirs is also
packed with nutraceuticals, vitamins and nutrients and
are made with no artificial ingredients, no preservatives,
and whole grains. All of this is blended into a delicious
treat you will not soon forget. Now that I have tried them
next time I am in the store I will be sure to walk right
on by those other brands for now that I have had a
chance to try the original 100 calorie treat I know
why everyone else has been scrambling to catch up.
They still have a lot of running to do for Vitalicious
is fantastic. Don't forget they are also a great thing
for School lunches and it is never to early or too late
to get your kids started on the right track to a healthy
diet. My final thoughts on Vitalicious, I have at least
a 100 reasons to love them! Two thumbs up!
Vitalicious can also make its way into your house. One
lucky reader of mine if going to win the same pack I
got to try, and you will have to share it with a lot of you
friends for it is huge! It is a Super Sampler and it includes:
4 Low Fat Deep & Velvety VitaBrownies
2 Low Fat Chocolate Mint VitaTops
2 Low Fat Banana Nut VitaTops
2 Low Fat Double Chocolate Dream VitaTops
2 Low Fat Deep Chocolate VitaTops
2 Low Fat Fudgy Peanut Butter Chip VitaTops

Happy Baby Food Review and Giveaway!

YUM food! Michelle Loves to eat and it shows on my
hips. I have been trying to lose the last 20 pounds of
Baby weight I put on with Rowan for 6 months now and
I am just not making any headway at all. I started out
with a Bang and lost 70 in less then a month then I
stalled out and can't lose another ounce. It is because
I love to eat and do it often, um, all day, and every
day. Just a munch munch munch away. One person
in this house who's food is pretty safe from my constant
snacking is Rowan. Have you seen baby food? YUCK!
I can't believe most kids will even allow you to put it
in their mouths. Now I will admit that a few things,
the desserts mostly, smell pretty good and I have tasted
a finger or two but the main courses, yikes, too nasty to
even think about. The combinations alone are enough
to make it hard for me to even feed her without a Chuck
the Yuck bag nearby. Now I am not a fanatic that has
to eat off a plate where no food touches the other and
don't have issues like that but it is just some of the choices
I see them toss into a jar of baby food. How are our kids
going to learn to eat healthy and well when we don't offer
them the foods we are going to eat in real life? I don't
understand how I am supposed to offer Rowan healthy foods
when she is a little older when I am shoving junk in her
little body now. Let's be real here, most food is an acquired
taste and if we acquire the taste for garbage first that is
what we are going to want to eat later. Andrew was
born before the Organic craze and there were not many options
out there but I still made sure to have plenty of fresh foods
and lots of options available to him at home. By 3 years
of age he was eating Calamari and every kind of vegetable
out there and would pick Grapes over Chips every time you
gave him the choice. Now he is 16 and yes, the last 5 years
since he started Jr High he has slipped into junk food but he
still often asks for food other kids would push off their
plates and whatever foods out there you are thinking no
way a child would eat, he has and loves it! With Rowan
I have noticed a lot of healthy items available right at
a retail store but have not noticed many that look
like something I would want to even eat let alone feed
to her.
Food, YUM
Baby Food, YUCK!

Then I got the chance to do a review for Happy Baby. Here
is an Organic Food I can get behind and when I say Organic
I mean FRESH Organic and not just a brand that slaps the
label on the Bottle and puts them on a shelf. Their baby
food is just like something you would make in your own
kitchen and instead of adding a ton of preservative to keep
it on the retail shelves longer they freeze it so when you heat
and eat you know your Baby is getting a food that comes
right from a kitchen to you. You do not get fresher then
that! Even their Baby Cereal is fresh and tasty for they
take natural grains and no genetically engineered ingredients
and the only thing they do add is DHA that is spectacular for
eye and brain development and recommended by doctors
everywhere. Even their snacks are ones you can feed your
little bundle without stressing that you are doing the right
thing. These are PERFECT for me because Rowan is at that
age and so determined to feed herself she fights me every
step of the way. I end up giving in an letting her have a
cracker or something only to watch her shove it in and
almost choke for she just isn't old enough. The Organic
Puffs from Happy Baby melt in her mouth so she doesn't
end up with too much food in her little mouth and I can
let her eat without trying to pry everything she stuffs
in right back out and breath a sigh of relief. They are made
with Whole Grains and come in 3 flavors to add a little
variety to a Baby's limited diet selections and again, the only
thing they add is extra vitamins and minerals. Even the
packaging is green! The part I like best is they not only
have Apple and Banana Puffs we know our kids will
like they also have Green Puffs that will sneak in some veggies
and she just thinks she is enjoying a treat!

Now when looking for a sweet treat I have now fell in love
with the Happy Melts. These are the only Freeze Dried Yogurt
snacks out there and offer all the yummy goodness of yogurt
in a finger sized snack they can pop in their mouth and go.
They are low in everything but flavor and also add what should
be Happy Baby's trademark of added probiotics to make
sure she not only enjoys what she eats she gets super
healthy perks too! Organics really did just get better. Now for
meal time Happy Baby has Happy Bites and instead of the
Yuck I have been, or now HAD been feeding her these are
complete yummy balanced meals in handheld sizes and have
some really great flavors and some hidden veggies so Mom
can smile when she enjoys it and know it is super good for
her! Now we all know kids love Mac and Cheese and Chicken
Bites but these also come in Salmon and Vegi Tots because
like I told you before what you feed your kids when they are
little will reflect in their eating habits later. Happy Tot also
has Salba, natures super grain and comes in handy pouches
that not only make eating on the run easy as pie, storage
at home just got a lot more simple too. Plus remember
the nasty combos I told you about, well you are not going to
find that here. With meals such as Green Beans, Pears and
Peas and Banana, Peach, Prunes and Coconut, no more
Chuck the Yuck bags at my elbow. I have a hard time not
grabbing a spoon and digging in myself!

Happy Baby also has a book to help Mom and Dad
with feeding Jr and making the right choices. It is all
inclusive and tells you tips and offers advice on when
to feed baby this and what time is best to introduce that
and perfect for not only first time Moms and Dads but
people unfamiliar with Organic foods. They also don't
stop at food and let you know all about wipes and diapers
and everything else that you would need to know. The book
is in such an easy to follow format even with my crazy
lifestyle and busy pace I can just flip it open, go right to
where I want to go and be on my way in a heartbeat. Um,
did I mention the book also have well over 100 bucks in
coupons right in the back. Now there is a way to not
only get started on the path to a great wholesome
Organic life but save some cash too! This is a must have
for parents and perfect for cluing you in on what is
the perfect time to feed baby foods you had questions
about! Happy Baby in general offers everything Moms
and Dads need for their little one and all of their products
are not only super fresh and yummy but packed with
Vitamins and Nutrients you just can't find elsewhere. I
am super pleased that I got a chance to do a review for
these guys for I had not heard of them before this and
might have missed a super chance to feed Rowan right
and now I get to chuck those Yuckiest foods I have
been feeding her right into the trash where they belong!
Happy Baby made one happy Mommy out of me!

Happy Baby wants to make a happy Mommy and
Daddy out of you guys too and have offered to give one
of my readers the same goodies I got to review. One
winner will get the book and all the spectacular coupons
plus free product coupons for their product line. You
guys will get to try a little of everything for once you do
I promise you that you will say Gerber who? next time
someone asks! To enter just head over to their web site

Head Organic Hair Care Review!

Every once in a while I get a chance to do a
product review for an item I am really excited
about. Something that not only lives up to their
claims on the bottle or advertising but goes
above and beyond my expectations. A product
so good I would share it with you if they asked
for a review or not. A Product I will continue to
buy no matter how hard it is to find or difficult
it would be to get my hands on. Even if I had
to offer up Andrews Lawn Care services for the
next ten summers for free just for a lead on who
might have it in stock at the moment. If I have
to trade John and all his accessory's for a sample
I would do it!

Head Organics is one of those products!

Now you guys all know the huge laundry list
of issues I have with my hair. It is dry and damaged
and extremely hard to manage. It is thick and tangles
easy and fizzes at the mear mention of the word
Humidity. It has a natural wave that turns into
frizzy curls if I don't spend hours in the bathroom
smoothing it down with gallons of product that costs
and arm and a leg and a foot and an ear or more.
Pretty plain and simple, my hair is wreck and the best
I can hope for is to find something that makes the
curls and waves look like I sorta did it on purpose
and go with the flow for straight hair that is smooth
and sleek has pretty much been out of the program
for me! Then I got the chance to review Head Organics
and MOMMA I AM HOME!
I got in the shower and brought the 2 in 1 shampoo
and conditioner with me. The moment I put it on my
hand I knew this was something special. My first clue,
the thickness. I mean it, never before have I felt a
product so thick for it was almost solid. Take whatever
you would consider the thickest shampoo you have
ever tried and triple that then times ten and you might
be close to the consistency of their shampoo. What that
meant was I had to work it in to my hair and scalp and
instead of the 2 minute hair ritual I have grown used to
it took me a good 10 minutes just to work it in and then
get it out. You also know when you are doing it right
for it didn't lather until you had it rubbed in just the
perfect amount then all over a sudden like Ali Baba
and his lamp, presto chango, bam, Suds up the wazoo
and I could feel the tingle of the shampoo doing its dance.
Once out of the shower I used the leave in conditioner
and brushed it straight. I took a breather and went
and spent some time with the little cutie just to let
it dry a little before I whipped out the hair dryer for
my hair is so long and so thick if I blow dry the whole
thing I will be standing in the bathroom for the better
part of an hour. When I saw myself in the mirror I was
pretty darn shocked to say the least for my hair
was drying smooth and there were no tell tale signs
of the curls I always get. I decided to dry it as is and
see where it led me. A few hours later I was back
and OH-MY-GAWD you would not believe the perfect
results I had. Smooth and shiny and only a fraction
of the frizz I normally had. Really impressive and
even more so for when I don't use a hair dryer the
frizz goes from bad to Hello who filled the house
with Static electricity. I used some of the anti Frizz
serum and that little bit turned to No Frizz and I
was skipping all over the house singing like an
insane person telling everyone in the house, "Look
at my hair, look at my hair, I look better then you, I
look better then you!" and pretty much acting like
a fruit cake. In fact I felt so good about myself (
isn't it funny how good hair just makes you feel good
all over) that I went out last night and that is why
this was not posted then. I have not went out for well
over a year and I had a blast dancing the night away!
More then once a complete stranger told me I had
Beautiful Hair and more then once John had to stumble
around for a better complement just to keep pace. I
just felt glamorous and have not felt that way since
years before I had Rowan. Really, they made my decade
and I would hire a sky writer if John had not taken the
credit cards and hid them when I started babbling
about it! He knows I am just kooky enough to do it!
Speaking of John, he tried the Gel and for the
first time in almost as long as I have known him he
looked fashionable and good instead of sporting that
helmet head deal you get with a lot of firemen and police
men. That little more then a buzz cut garbage I hate to
death. Well his has grown out a little since his last
cut and was just starting to look better and with the
Gel it looked fantastic. I might even be seen in public
with him more often if he keeps using it! If you think
I am exaggerating about the before hair style just check
out his picture on the site, total helmet head those guys
are so found off. You can pretty much look at a guy with
a cut like that and know he is one of three things, a Cop,
a Fireman or in the service. You would think after John
retired he would have found some style! Now Andrew
would not try the Gel or Mouse for he is a Mans man and
at 16 is still to young to temp his image with using any
product that a real man might have issues with but he
also is nuts about his blond locks and a huge fan of
Crew's Styling wax and I got him to try Heads and again.
WOW, these guys are even better. His words were, "yo,
Mom, this stuff ain't as Gunky as the Crew Stuff. I can
even touch my hair after I put it on without a big yuck
moment." In English I think that means he really liked it
and I have to say when he had this on compared to
his normal wax I could tell a difference in the fact the
Crew makes his hair look darker for it coats his hair
and with the Head you could see his true color for it
is such a better product it let his hair shine through and
you know that means it can still breath. All around every
member of the Family had a great reaction to Head
Organics and they are so going to be in our shower
from now on. When you find something even the guys
rave about and Andrew hid the Wax in his room in case
I had to give it back, you just can't take it away from
them. Even if I could find something in that room! In

Yogavive Yoga Chips Review and Giveaway!

Yum, Yum and even more YUM. I love snacks, I love
to eat and if you look at my waist line you know I love
to do both often. I try to keep healthy items in the house
for I really do love the taste myself but with the guys it
isn't always so easy. Junk food is the name of the game
in their world. It really doesn't matter what kind it is
either, I swear, if I were to bring home some pickled
Dandelion leaves and just tell them, "Hey, Better maid
has a new chip out, a pickled kind, thought you guys
might want to try them for I know how you like chips!"
Those guys would be all over it, just because it was a
chip. Now if I were to come home and say I found a
great new product that is also good for you it wouldn't
matter if it was Chocolate covered pizza, no way would
they touch it for I made the mistake of saying it was
good for them. Do you know how hard it is to find a
snack item that is good for you and doesn't say it is
good for you? Yes, that hard, and if you guys find one
let me know. The best thing I have came up with to
date is grab something healthy and then put it
in a serving bowl and destroy the evidence before they
see it and not say a word to them about the fact it
is healthy. Good thing my boys are easy to trick!
Sorry John.

One thing they will eat that is good for you though is
Apples. If I bring home a bag they will eat some if
they notice them. The problem is they will not eat them
fast enough and half end up going bad or even worse,
I take a good healthy snack and turn it into a naughty
dessert and make a pie out of it so I don't shed tears
watching John toss them in the trash. Why is it they will
eat an Apple a month but if it is in a pie that will be gone
in minutes? I grew weary wondering why and now I only
buy Apples when they are in season for it pains me to
pay 6 bucks for a dozen or so and watch them slowly
rot. What that means is the other 10 months of the year
they are back to junk food all the time. When I got the
chance to Review Yogavive I said sure, not really knowing
what it was and then the package came and I was surprised.
I was thinking it was going to be some sort of health guru
type snack and we would have to chant as we ate it and
boy was I surprised when I realized they were simply
Apples. Now when I say that don't get the wrong impression
here and think I am reviewing a brand of Apples for these
are not simply anything. Yoga Chips are chips for snacking
made out of Apples and not only are they Delicious they are
super healthy and good for you and are not going to go
bad in my fruit bowl. In fact no matter whatever the boys
go, or what they are doing, these are super simple to snack
on and you can just toss them in a lunch box or like I do, a
bowl for snacking in front of the TV.
Yoga Chips come in several different variety's and
though I hid the fact they were healthy from them in the
first place after they raved I felt obligated to show them
the package and I must admit I was a little bit afraid that
would be the end of them but the boys loved them so much
they didn't care. We got a chance to sample all of the flavors

and the big hits at my house were the Caramel Apple ( OH-MY-
GAWD-were these good) and the Strawberry. Even though
those two were the favorites they loved the other flavors
too and the best part is none of them hit the trash or were
turned into a pie. I had to even rush out and order some more
for I was totally amazed at how fast they went through them
and shocked at the fact they were healthy wasn't a turn off for
those guys in the least. I think they were blinded by the word
"Chips" and tuned out anything else on the pack. You know what,
you don't even have to know a thing about Yoga to enjoy them
either!

Yoga Chips come in several variety's including Apple Cinnamon,
The infamous Caramel, Strawberry and Peach and every single
one is a tasty treat. They are Organic and just as healthy as
eating a regular old Apple without the hassle of having to
eat them before they go bad. They come in easy to handle
snack packs that I found are perfect for lunches and just
the right size for a fast pick me up or sitting in front of
the tellie! I just dumped the fruit bowl and filled it with
pouches and that was that! I didn't have to run back and
check it every morning for signs of going bad for one thing
I can't stand about fresh fruit is the second it starts to turn
you have an army of fruit flies knocking on your door. Where
do they come from so fast and how come the second the
fruit is gone they disappear? Is there a fruit fly hot line that
when my Apples or Bananas start to turn one guy gets on
the horn and puts a call out to all his buddies?
"Hey, Herb! This is Stanly, those Red Delicious over
at Michelle's house have just went to pot, get over
here fast and bring the kids!"
I mean really, it is enough to drive a person mad! With
Yoga Chips Stanley is left out in the cold and Herb has
packed his bags! Plus I do not have to worry about
getting a bad batch of Apples for Yogavive makes sure
I am only using the finest ones out there. No mess, the
boys eat it like the chips grow on tree's ( oh, wait they
do!) and I know they are eating something good for them
for a change! What could be better? Oh, I see, you guys
are on to me already. A chance to win some would be
great wouldn't it?

Well guess what, Yogavive agrees and they are letting
one of my readers win an awesome prize pack. One lucky
winner will win 2 boxes of each flavor for a total of 10
