Yo Baby! A Contest Baby!
Rowan loves to eat! Rowan loves to make a mess!
Mommy is a tad bit biased and thinks she looks super cute
when all goo'd up after eating. In fact I think she looks so
cute that the button on my Blog is Rowan, after eating and
all Goobery! I must have 50 pictures of Rowan alone where
she has a messy face. I will post some on her page this
week for I know you guys are dieing to see Rowan with a
Pink Cookie, then a Green one and so on and so forth!
( he he he he he)
Trust me, if they were not Home maid cookies I would
be pestering the good people at Keeblers or Toll house
every day instead of you guys!
Mommy likes Stoneyfield Farms. Even more so
Mommy likes their Yo Baby Foods line. I know you
have heard me talk about them before and I even
gave out some coupons for them but that was a while
ago and before I found out about the Stores that carry
their line. ( see, Lot's of good things have happened to
me since I wrote off Kroger's) Now I would hoard
those coupons like a Christmas Eve Shopper with
the last Cabbage Patch Doll. I admit, even I have tried
some of the baby concoctions that Rowan eats. I
couldn't help myself. Some of them just sound
so good! The Apple and Sweet Potato and the
Peach and Squash are two of my favorites
and Rowan loves the Pear and Green Beans.
Now I know your eyes are bugging out of their
sockets about now thinking I sit down and eat a jar
of Baby Food so I will ease your Ulcers and let
you know I don't. Just a taste here and there.
I just want to know what she is eating is
good. If you had ever saw her face when
you give her a teaspoon of pured Chicken
you would want to know too! Um, I did pass
on the Chicken, after that face I knew that
wouldn't make my hit list!
Rowan and I have worked our way
through the product line now and tried them
all. I have to admit, if I ever had to go on a soft
food diet again I would pick these! I also have
discovered over the last few months that I love
the rest of Stoneyfield product line as well.
The Smooth and Creamy Yogurt and the
Frozen Yogurt and Ice Cream and the Smoothie's
make my refrigerator shelf on a weekly basis
and I am proud to stand up in public and
admit I eat them! I can see in another
few months Rowan and I will be fighting over
who gets the last one and it is the only way
I can get the boys to eat anything that has
the word fruit in it!
Seeing as I have become obsessed
with baby food as of late I thought I would
let the Yo Baby people know and they
offered to let me do a product review and
a contest for you guys! I explained that is
has been reviewed on a daily basis at our
house but I could not pass up the giveaway
for you guys! You just can't get better Baby
Food. ER, um, at least that's what Rowan
tells me. ( gulp)
The Prize pack includes
Product coupons
A travel bowl with lid
A bib
A Eric Carle growth chart ( I so
love that guy and grew up with the Hungry
Caterpillar. I bet he likes baby food!)
To enter just go to their web site
and tell me something you have learned
from there. The contest starts today,
December 7th and will run to January
3rd at midnight. You can get a bonus entry by
letting me know if you have ever tried
your child's baby food! I don't want
to be alone here. USA and 18 and older
can enter daily and the winner will be
contacted by email and have 72 hours to
contact me with their mailing information. As always
you can earn a bonus entry by entering the contest of

I learned from the Stoneyfield website that their yogurt contains Lactobacillus rhamnosus, which has been clinically shown to:
* help increase probiotic levels in the gut;
* promote gut health;
* help support your body’s natural resistance;
* enhance the activity of natural killer cells, key components of the immune system that are known to decrease as we grow older; and
* help compete with harmful bacteria.
Sounds like good reasons to eat lots of yogurt.

A traditional dairy wastewater treatment plant uses quite a bit of energy and generates biosolids (or “sludge”) that need to be hauled offsite to be managed. While it was not the typical choice for a dairy company, we chose our anaerobic digester because it generates very little waste, yet makes some of its own energy.
The upfront cost was 17% higher than other systems, but the operating costs are much lower, due to 40% less energy use and more than 90% less waste generated (and therefore 90% less waste to pay to have hauled away!). We expect it to save $3.5 million over the first 10 years of operation.
