Because I Said So!!! Mom Knows Best!

Rowan is now really getting into playing
with toys. Her entire day is spent exploring and
and moving things from point A to spot B and
taking things apart and putting them together.
Her own little world and her own fantasy's are
played out in her mind over and over again. She
loves Animals and her dog most of all so anything
that looks like an Animal is Aces in her book!
Pawparazzi is right up her alley right now for it
allows for her to spend all her time with everything
she loves! Pets, Toys and her imagination. Rowan
is still a toddler but she already puts her Pawparazzi
to sleep in its little pet bed and holds him close.
She is still too little to fumble with the little pieces
and parts but enjoys the fact Daisy looks so much
like her Boo that she feels like she has a mini
version. I have a strong feeling this little pup is
going to be as loved and cared for just as long
as the bigger version with more drool.
Pawparazzi makes the perfect toy for a little girl
or boy. As a Mom who has already been the maintenance
crew to a Pet that is supposed to be a child's it is
also the perfect pet. These little critters are darling
little puppies and little kitties and little boys and
little girls. Kids at the any age will stop right there and
be immersed for hours in their own little play world.
I know, I was one. I had horses when I was younger
and that was it. Just the horses and I could fill hours
of every single day in my own little world with them.
One day we would be out in the lawn that was no longer
a lawn but a prairie and the dip in the lawn where I tried
to dig my own in ground swimming pool was now a valley.
Alone or with friends my world would get bigger and more
detailed as days went on. A trip to the beach saw my
horses in the dessert and so on and so forth. That was just
with a couple of plastic horses. Pawparazzi offers much much
more. Daisy has friends to start. She is joined my Indy, Lexi,
Misty, Roxy and Toby on her adventures. Each pet comes
with their own carrying case and leash, collar and blanket.
A celebrity magazine to read when they are bored ( okay,
your little one might have to read it to them but is that
such a bad thing?) a matching mini notepad and a pop
out trading card. So where are we right now? I had
a piece of plastic and my imagination and could would
never run out of things to do. Already the Pawparazzi have
my horses beat by just opening the box they came in.
Then you have to add in their friends. Your child can share
so everyone can play together or play on their own. The
included accessory's will see them busy for eons alone but
Pawparazzi offers them more. You can get more accessory's for
them for they have the pet bed and Spa Day and Dream
Birthday and Flower Fairy and Winter Holiday. If all those
dress up kits don't keep them busy and I am sure they will
but if by the rare chance they still need more you can take
your pets on vacation for they also have the Hotel Pawparazzi
with a pool and guest rooms and it all comes in a handy carrying
case so their little hotel can change destinations. A club med on
wheels. Now why don't Mommies and Daddies have it so good?

Your children are going to love collecting them.
Rowan has the one she is in love with right now but if
I had found them on my own they would make a great
report card reward. Every time you bring home another good
report card you can get either another pet or accessory kit.
You can do the same thing for Holidays and Birthdays and
the pop out trading cards almost scream for them to be
collected. Already know your little one is going to love
them to death and neither you or them has the patience to
wait? Then don't! Pawparazzi has the Luxury set that includes
2 of the pets and 2 dress up sets, 2 beds and also a dinning
room and the hotel. Luxury never looked so good. Now I
might still be playing with my horses 40 years later if I
had a set like that. So of you have a child that likes
dogs or cats, is a Diva who likes to pamper their baby
or is more traditional and wants an old fashioned dog,
they have something for you! Each of them are Celebrities
and each offer your child something a little bit different but
all of them can be found in their Celebrity magazine. Even
the website is fun for your kids for it not only offers a games
but your kids can also send in photos of their pets and they
might even make it to the site. A more true Celebrity there has
never been. Planet Pawparazzi is also on the way and if
the web site now is just a sample we are in for a real treat!
So though I had a blast making up my own world your
children are lucky to have some of the details I was missing.
If I could kill hours with just my imagination with everything
the Pawparazzi comes with they can spend days! My
final thought on these little fellows are they made be made
out to be Hollywood Celebrities but any way you cut it
they are total Stars!

Pet's are always a part of your family.If
it is a dog, cat, ferret or even the fish we have. I
don't think I ever told you guys about Frankenfish!
We used to have a great fish tank. For years I waited
on a Dog wanting Andrew to be older and could help
for here he is even at 16 and I still take care of the
dog ( tis okay though, she is my baby!) and Andrew
just does a little petting. Well, while I was waiting for
him to mature ( COUGH COUGH! ) enough for
the responsibility ( COUGH COUGH) of a Dog
I could not stand not having a pet so about 8 years
ago we started a fish tank. Nothing fancy about
20 fish, a step up or two from a Guppy and lots
of decor. They lived a few years and eventually
died off and Andrew was never that into them
so I just didn't replace them. One still lived ( about
4 years now ) and surprised me for the life expectancy
of a tank fish isn't all that long but he held on. Then
we got Boo and she fell in love with that fish when
she was a puppy and would hop on a chair and
watch him for hours. I found that adorable and once
again bough a whole bunch of fish for the tank. About
a month after I got them Boo lost interest and I was
again the only one who cared. They lived maybe
two years and started dropping off again and fast too!
Only one survivor. The same fish from the first time
who was now 6 years old. I thought there was no way
he would make it much longer. About 3 months later
I ran out of fish food and was so tired of buying it
I started tossing him bread crumbs. I really could not
fathom why he was still alive for the air pump
broke and the water was not being filtered right for
a month or so before the food ran out and I was pretty
determined not to spend the money for another set up
for a 75 gallon tank and one fish. So bread crumbs and
UN-aerated water and a almost 7 year old fish. Then the filter
broke all together and now we had stale, UN aerated water,
bread crumbs and a 7 year old fish. A year later he was
still alive. I broke down and bought him food for I could not
believe he was still alive and we started calling him
Frankenfish. He is over 9 now and the sole survivor of our
tank and has won the hearts of our whole family and
continues to thrive. How can I not say he belongs here?

I have always had dogs and they have always been
family. From my first dog I got for my 5th birthday, Brindle,
an Irish Setter all the way to Boo, they are part of my heart.
People go to the ends of the world for their pets and
rightly so for they bring so much to our lives. Now my
mother is nuts, sorry Mom it is true and her pup Gabby
wears clothes and even has a Bikini ( Boo would flat out
kill me) and she treats that dog like she is a queen. I
spoil Boo and always will but the clothing is a little on
the silly side for me though she does dress up on
Halloween. The next review I did is sort of a hard subject
for some but when I ran across the site I was so impressed
with their work I had to share. Adirondack Pet memorials
has some testaments to our pets that are as beautiful as
our memories of our little friends. I sent them a letter to
tell them so and they offered a review. Now Boo is still
with me but I thought these stones were so stunning that
instead of waiting to she is with the other loves of my
past why not celebrate her with me now and have a stone
made to place in her favorite spot in the yard. It will be her
special place and if someday she rests there forever I
will know it was hers now! They made me a stone with
her name and Birth date that I am using as a garden and
yard decoration and place for her to snooze on a warm
summer day. It is truly stunning!

used in the manor they were created for though a
spectacular marker they do make. You can have you
family pets name on them or just your family name

heavy and are going to stay where you put them and I
can't get over how elegant the final piece looks. There

I was thinking how perfect it would be to start a rose
garden to place by the stone to grow with Boo so some
day not only will I have the stone to celebrate her I will
have flowers that are strong and sturdy as she is now
to cherish! This is one of those things we never want to
think of but I for one am happy to know now before
so I can already know about them the day I need them.
I hope it will help my children understand and myself
grieve as well. For now though, the stone will stand as
a testament to her life with us and I hope it will be many
years before I worry about another date on the end. If you

Hey there, while you are here don't forget to enter

Boy do we love Boo around here. That little
dog is most spoiled perso.........I mean animal
in the house. She not only has her own bed, blanket,
Cookie Jar and food Cabinet she also has her very
own 3 foot plastic toy box shaped like a bone that
is filled to the brim with Boo Toys. To put some
emphasis on the point she is really spoiled she
also has a large wicker basket on every floor of
the house filled with the over flow that will not fit
in the pricey toy box! For the four years before Rowan
was born Andrew had been flexing his Independence
and was no longer my little shadow. We used to do
everything together but he had to grow up sometime
and since then Boo has been my little Buddy. Everything
I did had to include her, even movies were only seen at
a drive in so she could go and if it were too hot to take
her in the car shopping I just wouldn't go until someone
else was home to spend time with her. On the rare
instances I "had" to go somewhere and could not take
her I made sure to leave the Animal Planet on the TV
for her even after Johns demands that I not do it for
I was just a little off my rocker. I couldn't help it though
I didn't want her to be lonely.
Even after Rowan was born we make a point
to keep special time for Boo. John will take the baby
somewhere so I can cuddle with the Pooch, or he will
take the pooch for a Daddy and Boo walk only so she
knows she is still special. I was worried that she might
be jealous of Rowan but it was groundless and she thinks
of Rowan as her sister. They even curl up for naps together.
Now Boo is no angel and has some flaws we over look. One
is she will eat any undergarments you do not put up high.
She has also torn up the dashboard of my car and has chewed
holes in a few blankets to hide her goodies. John can
get pretty angry then she wags her stumpy and all is
forgiven. I was never mad in the first place only sometimes
frustrated when that blanket is one I really liked. One of
Boos flaws we can't deal with though is her breath. OH-
MY-GAWD can it get nasty. We will give her a ham bone or
a big bone from a roast and she hides the dang thing for
ever so when she finally gets around to it the thing smells
to high heaven and leaves her breath disgusting! We have
tried everything to get it to smell better from buying Greenies
to Expensive Dogie Breath Mints that we have to fight with
her to eat and she spits out 99% of the time to plain
old Tic Tacs and Peppermint Candy and nothing has
worked. YUCK!

When I got a chance to review Teddy's Pride Oral Care I just
about leapt out of my seat and screamed yes at the computer
for there isn't a product out there that has worked thus
far and I am at the end of my rope. Boo also has a habit
of sleeping on my pillow and until you have spent the
night with a 12 pound pooch breathing her hot and rank
dog breath at you while you are trying to sleep you will
never know what gross really is. She makes any grosser
then gross joke look like childs play. This stuff was supposed
to be tasteless and orderless and she was not supposed to
even know it was there. Now I admit, I did think, "Well they
do not know my dog!" for Boo is the most fickle thing in
the world. She will only eat one brand of dry food, one brand
of wet and one dog treat. and wouldn't you know it they are
the expensive ones.
I have tried tricking her by putting another in a bowl.
NO WAY- it has to come in the containor from the
store!

that was less expensive.
No Way -it just sat there.
She just knows these things and when we tried to hide a
vitamen in her food she just ate around it. The dog isn't
stupid so this was a long shot. I still needed to take the
chance for summer is almost here and another hot
muggy night with her even hotter nasty breath I could
not take.

When it came it was just power and just like they promised.
I was skeptical but thought what they hey, it can't hurt and
gave it a whirl. I pulled up her dry food bowl and grabbed
some wet and thought two birds one stone and if she was
going to turn up her fiesty little nose and walk away I wanted
to get it over with. Now the Pooch watched as I did it for I
tried to have John distract her but the minute she heard me
in her cupboard she was all over me. I thought for sure her
watching me was a deal buster for she is slick like that.
When I set both down she first sniffed the dry then walked
away. I thought Ut, Oh, busted and watched as she went over
to the wet. This is where she is the most fickle. Now I have
tried to trick her many many times with this for she eats
one a day and they cost $1.39 so if you add in her Chicken
Jerky at 10 bucks every other week and a Bag of Dry every
few weeks this can end up costing a lot and if I can get her
to eat the cheaper wet I could save a bunch. All my efforts
awarded me with was tossing out the cheaper stuff then
having to rush up to the store and get her brand for she
will lay by her bowl and whine if I don't. I though she might
have it in her Puppy mind that adding something on top
was just another trick.

(Once again I got the look)

( fast look)
Nibble of one cube. ( Oh, I forgot to tell you, her wet food has to
be cubed in bite size pieces or she will not eat it. At least 16 per
square, any less is a no go)
( she looked at me again)
Once more sniff sniff
( fast glance)
SHE ATE IT!
Now to see if it worked! I didn't want to sniff her breath
right away for let's face it the dog food stinks as it is so
I let her finish and take a hour or so to her self then snatched
up the little pooch who right away started to cover me in
kisses. Normally I would be squirming away for Ewe, she
has rotton breath but I didn't this time. Now before I go
off the deep end and tell you she smelled like a dream,
she didn't for she is still a dog and hey, she licks her butt!
I will tell you though,she didn't smell like anything. Nothing
nasty, nothing rank, nothing disgusting. Just normal breath
that is more then palatable. It wasn't peaches and cream but
it did not smell the least bit bad either and I did not for
the first time since she had puppy breath everyone loves
try to get away. Teddy's Pride Oral Care worked perfect!
This is a product that not only does exactually what it says
it is going to do it got past my picky poochs test as well.
If this can make it past Boo's selection process it can
make it past any dogs for she is really that bad. Like I
said there are three things she will eat, Ceaser Brand
Wet Food, Purina One Dry and Chicken Jerky. Nothing
else, nada, zip, ziltch will make it past her nose. I have
tried more and less expensive items and not a chance.
Every mint under the sun, not a chance. Bribes and tricks,
not a chance. Teddy's Pride, YES YES YES, I sat their
stunned at the fact it works and the fact it got past her.
I am going to sprinkle this stuff on every single thing she
eats for the rest of her life. No oder, no smell, no YUCK!
I just can't ask for more and I personaly want to thank
them from saving me another disgusting night where I
have to spray air freshener in my pillow so when her
breath gets so bad I can take a wiff of that so I don't feel
ill. THANK YOU!

I always feel so bad for Boo when the mail comes.
Every member of the house gets to participate in product
reviews except for her. It really doesn't matter to the guys
if it is a product they really wanted or not for they are just
enjoying learning about things they never would have asked for
other wise. They often find themselves surprised at how
much they like it. They are always excited when a package comes
and act like two little kids on Christmas morning instead of a 43
year old man and a 16 year old boy. Even Rowan rolls her eyes
when they start jumping around. For a couple of the reviews I
thought my son might Hyper ventilate for the item was something
he was head over heels in love with. Take the Glacier Outdoors
2 in one pack for example. That was right up his alley but he knows
that is also an item that would have to be a major part of a Holiday
gift not something I can grab him at Family Dollar any day of the
week. When that came you could hear his girly screams a block
away. Boo just sat there and watched and I felt bad. I know she is
a dog but to me she is more. She is not only part of the family
she is like a child to me and at times a friend who listens and
comforts me more then any "Person" could do. She never
complains and yes, she has ruined some things ( like my car)
around here but if I added up her total and compared it to
Andrews over the years it would be Mike "Andrew" Tyson
against Pee Wee "Boo" Herman! When ever I leave the house
and go somewhere where I can't take her I make sure I
bring something home just for her. I stock up on small stuffed
animals at Value world ( you can get like 30 for a few bucks) and
keep them in the trunk so if I don't have time to pick up
a treat I can give her one of those. Boo has her own toy box
I bought just for her, its about 3 feet long and shaped like a
Bone with a lid. I can't remember how much I paid for it
but she is worth it. For years she was my shadow and never
left my side then I had Rowan and she sort of got pushed out.
After that I started the Blog and reviews and I know, even
though she can't complain, she feels left out. Boo has
two loves in this world, going bye bye and going for walks and
since we brought the Baby home both of those have been scaled
way back.
A few days ago I got the chance to review Rasco Dogs
Ready Leash and let me tell you I was more excited about
this review then any of the other reviews I have done. This
one Boo would not have to sit and watch Andrew or John
tear through a box or Rowan bang on her chair or pull toys in
and out of her mouth for her review. For this one they would have to
watch her. Better yet, for this one they would have to cater
to her. For this one she is the star!





Let me tell you about Boo and leashes. I have been
through 10 leashes since she was born. That is more then
2 leashes a year. I have spent up to 30 bucks on one and had
her snap it the first time out. Last summer alone I went through
3 but that is our own fault. With the baby we didn't have the time
to walk her like we did ( used to be like 4 times a day) so when
we did open the door for a walk she was so excited she flew
out the door and snapped the leashes. She gets so excited she just
about yanks my arm out of the socket dragging me down the
street. I have always joked I could hop on a wagon and she
pull me all over town and I would never have to drive. How is
that for going green? Now I know you guys are thinking what
kind of dog is this to eat a car, snap leashes like they are made
out of licorice, pull a grown adult down the block, is this a Bull
Mastiff or Great Dane? Rottweiler or other Goliath of a dog?
Well, no, she is a 12 pound Jack Russel Terrier with a heart
of gold and enough kinetic energy to power Rhode Island
for the next Century. And a total Baby!

When the package came it was mixed in with a couple of other
boxes and Andrew brought them to the table where we always
opened them. Boo hopped into her chair at the table ( yes,
she has her own chair at the table) and watched quietly as
she always does. She pretty much knows the routine and doesn't
expect anything for her like she does when I come in
the house with bags from the grocery store. Andy was tossen
things this way and that and even though I knew the leash
was coming I did not expect it to be here so soon. I had
just spoken to them the day before so in no way did I think
they would be here this fast. When Andrew grabbed the last
box and pulled out the package it was sealed in plastic like
most products are but somehow that little dog knew. How I
will never know, it isn't food and doesn't smell edible,
it doesn't squeak like a lot of her toys or do anything that
would mark it as a clear cut dog item, so how did she know?
Does a leash smell a certain way? Who knows, all I can say
is even before he had it all the way out of the box she was on her
feet wagging her little stumpy a mile a minute and taking her
behind with the stumpy. ( Have you ever noticed little dogs can't
just wag a tail, they wag their whole tushie?!) You would think
Andrew was unwrapping a prime cut of Aged Kobe Beef the
way she was acting. Before it was out of the plastic she had
already ran from the table to the door and back to the table
over and over again a few dozen times. When Andrew put his
shoes on she took up her resident spot at the door jumping
up and down like Tigger after one too many pots of coffee
waiting for him to open it. Her whole body was shivering
as Andrew snapped on her harness and she was literally
crying when he hooked up the new leash. Andrew took her
for her first walk with the leash and I took her for the
second.








She is his dog and he wanted the honors. We also
received the Long extra leash and had that one hooked
for Boo as you might have guessed is a little over active and
a longer leash spares your legs from her whipping back and
forth with the thorough inspection she gives each side
of the side walk. He said the walk went fine and he felt
more comfortable with this leash then the one we had for
it just "felt" stronger and he didn't feel the need to keep
switching hands back and forth as she pulled from one side
to the other. Normally we have to change hands as fast
as she changes sides for if we don't the constant yanking
weakens the leash and it ends up snapping. A few were so
flimsy that they snapped right out of the box. With this leash
is was plain to see it was thicker and easy to tell it was stronger
then other leashes we had bought and he felt comfortable
enough not to worry about it. He didn't get a chance to use the
baggies that are built right in the handle but I took
care of that the next walk. I think she was so excited the
first walk she couldn't think straight and was too wound up
to do "her Business."

When I took her for a walk I was very pleased with how comfortable
the handle was. We has long ago given up on any leash with a handle
since Boo whipped around so much it would end up hurting your hand
and it was just as bad with ones without a handle but at least they
were more flexible. This was wide enough where you have wrist
control and it didn't wreck your hand from the pressure she
can provide by acting all nuts. The next thing I noticed is I found
myself agreeing with Andrew that it just felt more sturdy and
I also was not worried about her snapping it. We had gotton so
used to the feeling of a leash about to snap that can pretty much
tell if it will make it or not and this is a keeper. I doubt she
will ever be able to snap it though she has gotton mad at a few
harnesses she could not break and chewed those instead. That was
when she was a puppy though and now she understands leash and
harness mean walk. With me I got lucky ( Sigh) and she did
her duty so I got to test the bags. They were the perfect size for
Boo so I could use the edge to scoop and then it fell right in.
With a larger dog the bag will be big enough but you might want
to use a glove or another bag to get it in there. I am one of the
EWWE gross girls who can't get close to "it!"
I really like how handy it was to have the bag right on the handle
for I hated having to dig in my pocket for a bag and in the summer
I would grow tired of carrying them then toss them in the stroller and
she would then have to go as soon as I put it away like I was
ringing the dinner bell and then I would have to search for it. I also
have neighbors around here who are on the crazy side and
will pretty much run out their door to make sure you are
picking it up and when you have to dig they go into a rant
explaining how they are sure you had no plans to pick it
up until they came out and start blaming you for every dog that
has ever sniffed a blade of grass on their lawn. This way
I can just pull it out and wave to them with bag in hand and
get out of Dodge before the "well your the only one" lecture
starts. Some of these people are scary crazy.
I really loved the Rasco Ready leash and the only thing
I could think of that I would change is to get a pink one!
Boo is a girly girl! Other then that I think it is the best leash
we have ever had. I can't rave enough about the bag dispenser
on the handle for we had something sort of like it before. It was
a cute little dispenser shaped like a fire hydrant meant to
snap on to the leash but it kept sliding down the leash
all the time and ended up getting lost. This one isn't going
anywhere! It was nice having them when it was hooked
but losing them ends up making you mad you wasted the
money in the first place. Now I can find the bags in the same
spot all the time! The only thing missing is the little guy that
is supposed to follow me around and pick up the
"Business" for me! Rasco Dog's Ready Leash is the cats meow in
