3 Hips Chicks Review and Giveaway!

Valentines Day is here and gone and
you would think Jewelry Stores are closing the
lids on their boxes to Sweetest day but you would
be wrong. Jewelry is one of those items that makes
a perfect gift for every Holiday and I find I just
can't get enough of it. I think it is in a Women's
Genes though I know a lot of guys who wear it as well.
Some who shouldn't. Easter is right around the bend
and behind that the Mother of all Holidays, Yes, you
guessed it, Mother's Day. One of the largest days of
the year for Jewelry and Flowers! Mom's are also one
of the hardest people to shop for and I know I am
speaking of my own demographic group here. Mom's have
a habit of skirting the subject when you ask them what
we want with whatever you get will be fine. I have said
it, my Mother has said it, My Grandmother has said it
and I am pretty sure every Mom through the history
of the world has said something similar over the
coarse of their lives. It is not that there isn't;t
anything we want, there is, we just can't help but
to utter those words for two reasons.
1. We don't really want to be a bother
2. We spend the rest of the year making sure
our kids and Husband get what they need,
they want. We take care of friends and family's
birthdays and parties and always handle any gift
event, cards and thank yous. We do not hide what
we like and it is not our fault our family does
not pay attention but on Mothers Day or our Birthday
or any event made just for us we don't want to feel
as if we have to tell you what to buy, we think you
should know. We keep track of every detail in all
your lives and feel as if you can at least pay attention
to one small thing that makes us happy without us writing
it down for you.
Now we don't expect small children to run to Macy's and
grab our favorite scent. Grade School kids to save their
allowance for a certain charm or chain we have had our eye
on. Hand made gifts are fine for we really do love them but
if Dad or grown children are taking the retail road we at
least expect something we would want. A Cordless Drill?
Ah, No! A work out video you got free with a full tank
fill up at the Grocery Store? Please Dad, if you admire
you anatomy you will not drive down that street! We want
something that says Mom I know you work hard and give us
things before you ever think of yourself, I know you often
go without so we can have and here is this-FILL IN THE BLANK-
for you really deserve it. And for those of you people out
there who can not fill in the blank, first go take a time
out. Sit in the corner and think about why you have been
so self focused and absorbed you do not know what it takes
to make your Mom or Wife happy. Then spend whatever time
you have left fixing it!

If you are truly stuck and really don't have any clue,
I will give you are couple of hints. The first one is
Jewelry, you just can't go wrong for there are so many
different styles in the fashion world and styles always
evolve so any item from the Jewelry counter will be cared
for because Mom never knows when that will be " just the
thing" she is missing from her outfit. The other thing
you can't go wrong with is anything that celebrates something
important in Mom's life. A Picture, a Statue, a Book or
even a musical piece that lets her honor or remember an
important event in her life. Something like that let's Mom
know not only do you pay attention to what is important to
her and remember these things you care about them too and
want to share that with her. Now if you can celebrate a special
time in her life AND do it with Jewelry, you may have struck
Gold, sometimes even literally. That's why through the ages
lockets and Cameos and Mothers Jewelry has been so big and
has stood the test of time. It really means something to us.
For the next review I found a place that does just that
and can make any Mom smile!  3 Hip Chicks allows
you to start from scratch and make Mom a Hand Stamped
necklace that is made only for her, inspired by her and all about
her every step of the way. You Start with the Chain and choose
the metal and length then add charms and messages that are special
to her. You pick the design, the font and the words, so it comes just
from you and even little extras such as charms or beads or
Birthstones and stamped pictures and dates. Have your children
or pets names or the date you were married or met stamped and
turned into a necklace or bracelet she will remember forever.
3 Hip Chicks has items for every occasion because you personalize
them just for the event. For review I was sent a necklace that
had Andrew and Rowan stamped on two charms. It was perfect, hand
stamped, Hand Polished and an item that was made to order so it
would always be something that is one of a kind. You can order
one with your kids names on it or pets or maybe just a few key
dates that are important to your life and who says you have to
order the hand stamped disc for they have charms too, Boy Howdy do
they have charms. 3 Hip Chicks has a selection that will make
even mom proud. What you do is pick a necklace ( or bracelet) from
their selection and then pick your charm or charms. You customize the
message and font and add all the details and life to your creation to you
find what you like. They have charms for any taste or style and every single
one is beautiful though,  I like the hand stamped ones the best for
they have that "special" touch and make the piece all about you
or your loved one. There are items for your children, pets and
even Key chains and they have a large selection of other items on
the site as well. In the Child's charms they have a Photo Frame
I might have to order and add to mine for the simple reason it is
just too adorable and when something makes you smile like that you
should have it! At 3 Hip Chicks you can have charms with a birth
date stamped right on them or add a Swarovski Crystal, the date of
your anniversary of find an item that represents you. Everything
is high quality for last memories. Even my son, who has only found
one piece of jewelry in his whole life ( a Celtic cross) that he would
wear for he is MANLY MAN fell in love with the style and professed how
he would love to have one with his sisters name and his dogs name
on it. I was pretty taken back for I have asked him more then once
if he would like Jewelry for a Holiday or event and was always met with
a "Are you nuts, Mom?' remark. If they can turn my son 3 Hip Chicks
has some skills! The Prices are extremely reasonable too and for as little
as $35.00 you can have a necklace and charm made. Add on's and extra
charms start at just $5.00 so you can see where they really do fit any
pocket book! SO next time you are looking for Mom or anyone really and
want to pick a gift that is not only special but one of a kind and
made just for them take a look at 3 Hip Chicks and see how easy it
is to fall under their spell!

3 Hip Chicks has a little of everything and they are just as awesome
and have tons of gifts for Mom and everyone else on your list!
With a Large Selection of Jewelry as well as Candles and Mugs and
anything else you could ever want with that personal touch. These
Ladies have you covered no matter what your wish is!

Old Time Candy Review and Giveaway!

I spent my Summers at our House up in Northern
Michigan. My Grandmother was a school teacher at
a local Catholic School so not only were school years
shortened to begin with, she also had the summers off.
My Grandfather was a Paper Pusher at Fords and had
no such luck. Every year on the day after the last
day of school my Grandmother and I would pack up the
car and leave for the Lake House. Grandpa would come
up on the weekends and take his Vacation through July
since he had worked his way up to about 6 weeks a year.
Now my Grandfather was an outdoor guy but my Grandma was
more into arts and crafts and cooking and canning then
the Lake, woods, beach or fishing or boating. During the
week when he was not there, her and I would be alone and
we would pass a lot of time with Arts but I was a Tom
Boy and wanted to get out. Lucky for me we were not only
in the country but it was a different world still in
the 70's and I could pretty much go where I wanted since
I knew the area like the back of the hand. It was not
rare for me to ride my bike or walk many miles every day.
I also would swim for hours and my best friends were
just down the hill from me and and though they did not
live on the Lake their Grandparents did and were across the field
and a short walk through the woods from my back door and
owned a resort so they had everything there and it was
a virtual playground for us kids to spend our summers in.
We used to help clean the guest homes during the week
and be rewarded with a couple of bucks that we would use
to ride up to the local store. Now when I speak of a local
store here and now I am speaking of a CVS about a block
away but there we were lucky to have one so close, about
a mile down a dirt road. Shaw's! When you first walk in
they have two isles of bins that all had penny candy in them.
The State Park was right across the road and they made
a killing catering to them and had anything a kid
could ever want inside. We would buy a huge bag then split
up the loot once we got back to our home. I gotta say
that was the best time in my whole life. The thrill of
getting a little brown bag and reaching into bin after
bin of Penny Candy was enough to make a little kids
excitement level fly through the roof and even then
places like that were a rare find.
Andrew spent most of his life experiencing candy
the way a large percentage of kids today do. At the
Supermarket or Drug Store, maybe Target but every place
has the same routine. A row or selection near the checkout
with full sized candy bars and gum where people are prone
to make an impulse buy. 7-11 and Gas stations are not
much different though they have an isle with the same
candy. The point is no longer do children get the thrill
of walking into a store that has been set aside just for
Candy and filled with not a few rows on a rack or one
isle out of 20 but rather isle after isle of bins and
shelves and buckets that hold every confection the world
has to offer. Now you can find some chocolatier's around today,
a candy bar for 9 bucks if they carry a bar at all for most
offer items like Truffles or Bon Bons, ask Andy what a truffle is
and he would say something along the lines of pigs and woods for
it just isn't something a child is into. They want Chocolate
Bars and Penny Candy and Sour whats its! Not gourmet Chocolate
with an inflated price tag and a filling they have never heard of.
We lucked out when we moved here for there is a Penny Candy
Store on the other side of the Park from us called "Z's" Penny
Candy. Now they are pretty darn cool but even the fact they are
dedicated to Penny candy is lost on me for their whole store
does not even come close to the Candy Section at Shaw's and
it is pretty much the same 10 Candy's over and over again.
More or less a bin of Orange Tootsie Rolls, then a regular one,
then Grape and so on and so forth. Nothing special from my
view but the kids still looked forward to it and even listened
to my tales on the way there about the Penny Candy shops
when I was a kid. I would give each of the children a couple
of bucks then buy 20 dollars worth of mixed candy for the
house and what really got me was if I were to spend 20
dollars when I was a kid I would have needed a forklift
to bring it home with, now a days Penny candy is a quarter
and it just isn't the same. Lack of choices and a huge
price tag does not bring back the memories I was so fond
of. When I was searching for Candy for the Valentines day
gift guide I stumbled on a store that was in a different
league now. Old time Candy has the Tootsie Rolls but
also all the other Candy I remember as a child, an my Mom
remembers and so on. They have it all!
Old time Candy has candy from 1920 on up to what is
hot today! Everything I remember from being a child, to
when Andrew was little and so on. I was squealing like
I was back at Shaw's with a couple of bucks in my hands
as I was flipping through the pages. Andrew came running
in the room thinking his Mom has finally lost it and you
have to remember he is two floors away on the opposite
side of the house but that was how loud I was. They sent
a sample box for review and it was like some sort of
political sum-met meeting in my living room when it came.
All of us gathered around the box peering inside trying
to decide a way that was fair and even to dole out the
contents. Everyone got five picks of their all time
favorites then we went around in a circle to divide the
rest. I grabbed my Pay Day, Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones
for you have no idea how much I love those things, Sugar
Daddy, Swedish Fish and Bit O Honey. I wish I could tell
you what the boys grabbed but I can't for I really didn't
care, I was too busy keeping an eye on the loads of other
items I wanted and hoping their hands went over them when
they were making their five picks. The rest were dolled out
one at a time for there were too many items we all liked
to do another large draw but I was tickled to see one of
the handle suckers from when i was little. You guys know
what I am talking about, the stem is shaped in a loop so
it is easy to hold and we rewarded Rowan with that little
gem for she was so behaved as the adults acted like 5 year
old over the box of Candy. I also do not know how Andrew
always ends up with all the Gum, no matter where I get
Candy from that boy always gets the Gum. John sat hording
his bag and munching in the corner the rest of the day and
I swear he growled whenever someone encroached his area as
if they might make a move for his stash. Talk about Junkies!
I am so Happy my Grandmother was not here for they have all
her favorites and for a kind woman that would share anything
with you if you can anywhere near her Jelly candies, LOOK OUT!
It could be my Birthday and she could say what would you like
and if I told her the only thing I really wanted was one of
her Jelly Candies she would have looked me square in the
eye and Growled, Pick again! Old Time Candy
can even cover her and her addictions! I really wish she was
here too see this for we are not sure where my Grandfather
used to find some of her candy and after he passed it
fell on my mother and I's shoulders to find it and
we had a heck of a time. We had no choice but to find
things that were sorta like, or similar too but never
the real deal. Old Time Candy has the "Real Deal"

They also have any real deals you can remember from
your youth too and to order is a snap. You can go a
little or a lot and Mix and Match and the possibilities
are endless. Not sure what you really loved for those
memories are a little fuzzy? Just get a sample and pick
the decade and they are sure to have just the thing
you are looking for even if you can't remember the name.
Gifts are covered too for they have some awesome ready
made theme packs that take out the guess work and are sure
to bring a smile to any ones face. I just love this store
and yes, I have done reviews for some pretty fancy, smancy
gourmet shops but nothing, and I repeat nothing, beats my
Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones and Old Time Candy flew straight
to the top of my list with just the simple fact I could order
those as often as I like! Remember how I told you part of
the fun was getting a bag and filling it with as many
different candy's as you could in all different flavors? The
bins calling your name and a little of this and a little of
that was half the fun of getting the candy? You guys can relive
that too with Old Time Candy's Pack A Bag. Pick what ever you
like and toss it in a bag and that's how it is going to come to
you, just like when you were a kid. Share your memories with your
children and pack a bag with them. The shipping was super fast
and there is nothing like the trill of opening that box!
Gift, Holiday, restock the house hold stash or just for you,
Old Time Candy is there to help you out! I have a order in
my cart all ready to go for as soon as I am down to my last couple
of pieces all I have to do is hit send for I need me some candy!
Perfect for Valentines Day and Easter, they have what it
takes for any age from any decade! They even have gift baskets!
Enjoy!

Old time Candy was also sweet as candy and offered
to give one of my readers a 4 pound sample pack too!
To enter just head over to the site and take a look
around and come back here and post what your favorite
candy was as a child. The contest will start tonight

both! USA and 18 and older can enter daily and the winner

Jewel Basket Review and Giveaway!

I have been having a blast looking for items
to fill that little babies jewelry box. I am determined
to have a whole selection for her ready to go when
she is ready to flaunt off her little style. When I found
out I was pregnant and I was having a little girl that
was one of the first things I thought of and I could not
wait to get her ears pierced for I have seen other little
girls sporting this style and wanted her to look just as
adorable. When she was born though, with in a couple
of days, I changed my mind. I just couldn't do it. I took
one look at those little baby ears and thought I know it
is only a pinch and hurts for a second but I could not bring
myself to do anything to hurt those cute little buttons sticking
out of the side of her head. When she was two weeks and
having her first shots and WOW did I find out how well
her lungs worked, that cemented the deal. Nothing, other
then those nasty shots, would make me have her scream
like that again. So since I am filled with Irish Guilt and
figured somehow it was my fault she would not have her
ears pierced I made the choice to find her an old fashioned
Jewelry box and fill it to the brim instead!
Did you know there are literally tons and tons of
stores that offer items just for little children. From Teens
all the way down to Newborns. I already felt like I was
shirking my duties, I let the whole Newborn thing slide
by without even looking. They even have Children's Specialty
Jewelry Shops that sell nothing but Diamonds for children or
Watches or other items, I swear to god, one even only offered
Children's Toe Rings. Now Rowan will not even keep her socks
on, I can't see a Toe Ring fairing much better. I thought I
should stick to the stores that have a little of everything
and that was not at all as easy as it sounds. Most places
offered children's Jewelry that looked just liked the name implies,
children's Jewelry, meaning items for play. I wanted her to have
real items, not pretend. I am sure she will have that as well
but for my special box it needs to be the real deal. Now I am
no fool, not every piece is going to cost and arm and a leg,
pretty much the other way. In fact the piece I have for her
that does cost and arm and a leg is in my box not hers and
I plan to give it to her on her Wedding Day and let her know
I got it when she was born. A very nice pair of Diamond Earrings.
I ended up finding a couple of really nice stores for Children
and one kept sticking in my mind for I had briefly flipped
through it so I thought to get it out of my system I better
thoroughly investigate. That one was the Jewel Basket and I hit
the home page and went, hummmm, this is what I remember.
A lot of nice items right up front with a lot of the category's
I was looking for. I see why I jotted down the site for further
research. I clicked on the Children's section and thought,
hummmmmmmmmmmmmm, yes, this was defiantly why
I wanted to come back. A ton of Category's for children
all the way to teens and all on one easy to navigate area.
I clicked on the Gold Children's Bracelet the first link I
saw and thought, hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Why
the heck didn't I click on this link last time I was
here for I would have saved myself a whole heck of a
lot of time looking at other sites. This is perfect! They have
every item I was looking for and beautiful items at that. I
loved Rocking Horse bracelet in that very category and spent
the next hour gushing over items such as the Beaded Children's
& Baby Bangle Bracelet and the Disney Jewelry. I was ohhing
and aweing over the rings and really really want to get her a
Medic Alert Bracelet since she is Allergic to Penicillin.
They have more then enough items to fill my box and more.
After speaking to them they agreed to a review and since
Mommy here was still having guilt over missing the infant
Jewelry bus they offered to have a Sterling Silver Baby
Cup made for her instead. IT-IS-GORGEOUS! I mean
breathtaking. The font is perfectly done and the craftsmanship
is more then 100%, can you get more? I don't know and
I don't care for however they did it, they did and this is
something I will cherish myself until she is old enough
to get her own place and take it with her. What she doesn't
know is I plan on using the cup as a reason to visit.
"Rowan, you Mother feels like walking down memory
lane and reliving the joy of your birth. Can you Mother
come over and visit the cup?"

I didn't say it was a good excuse but it might get
my foot in the door a few times so I can check on her
when she is older. Right now I just gaze at it and tear
up for it truely is a testament to her and her lovely
perfectness! Right now my Love list goes, Rowan, Andrew
and Boo, followed by my Mother, then the Cup and Pizza.
John comes up somewhere after chocolate IF he pulls
Valentines Day out of the fire. Right now between John
and Chocolate are like 700 other items from the Jewel Basket!
Now the Childrens Jewelry is fantastic but I kept seeing the
link to women's out of the corner of my eye and I admit
it, I have no self control, I had to look.
-CLUNK-
Sorry, the Morris and Davis Rings right on the landing
page made me fall right out of my seat. Suddenly I remembered
I had a Jewelry box, there was still room in mine too, well
a little, and if there isn't The Jewel Basket sells Wooden ones
that come engraved. I know my Mother will go Ga Ga over
the Opal Rings and the Mystic Topaz Rings rocked my world.
I have never seen them before and I am flat out in love and
if I don't get my hands on one somebody is going to get
hurt. Stunning. They also have a great selection of Stakable
rings that are all the rage and the Claddagh selection made me
melt for they are my all time favorite. Every item in the womens
section was just fantastic and I love Anklets and you never see
them anymore and hey, I just about got my fill now and a
huge wish list. For those who like the Classics they have
a lots of great antique and cameros to choose from as well
as Belly Button rings for those of you would would take a
differant road. Even their mens selections are killer and I
would love to see John in Claddagh Cuff Links since I
can't get him to wear Jewelry of any kind. He says I have
enough for both of us!

The Jewel Basket has something for everyone and
you just cant go wrong. Watches and Religious items, the
Boxes I told you about, why they even have Gem Stone
Globes and I fell in love with the Mother Of Pearl one
for me and Pearls ya, know! To make things even more
simple for you they have guides on stones and one for
wedding rings. There was also an item I had never heard
of before and I thought I knew it all, a Watch Winder! How
Quiant. I just can't get over how great this place is and
it is now formally known as my new best friend, I wasn't
even sure I was in the market but with peices and selections
this good I know I am now! Two Thumbs up is not enough
for living up to all my expectations, surprising me with perks
and education me on items I did not even know exsisted.
the Jewelry Box is two snaps, a full circle, some air kisses
and a happy dance in the snow, THUMBS UP!
The Jewel Basket also has some goodies for my
readers too! 4 of them are going to win a Gemstone
Globe Keychain, each one is made of Lapis & Sliver and
Grade A Gemstones are used for the oceans and map of
the world globes. The meridian lines are crafted in genuine
Gold and Silver Ribbon. It is really stunning and four of you
will learn just how much so! To enter head over to their site
take a look around then come back here and post your all
time favorite item in a comment. The Contest will start tonight
and run to midnight on March 29th.

HuePhoria Review

Does everyone have all the finishing touches
for Valentines Day? The dinner? The gift? The
Chocolate? Cards and treats for the kids? A
Babysitter lined up so you and hubby or wife can
celebrate alone? The great bottle of wine? Beautiful
Stemware to pour it in?

Now guys!

You can't take that special bottle of wine meant to
celebrate a very special day and ruin it by pouring
it into any old Wine Glass.
No no no!

And even worse, and this time I am talking to the
men only for us gals know better, do not get those
plastic stemmed glasses thinking those will make it
all okay! Ya do and we will have some problems and
you might end up with the stem in some very uncomfortable
places or a night in the Dog House. The perfection is in
the details and to make a night really memorable you need
to cover them all from just the right scent of a candle all
the way down to the dishes you use for dinner and the
glasses you drink out of and most important, the music you
play. Though for this review we are going to concentrate on
the glasses bit.I got you guys covered so don't sweat it. I
just did a review of a store called HuePhoria and they have totally
stunning, one of a kind glasses for every occasion and taste.
When I say one of a kind I mean it too for these babies are
hand painted and made to fit any theme or style. From
birthdays to silly days, Pink Golf and Mr Limpet and
even one with a skeeter to remind those hanging by you
on the patio you have a glass of the red stuff and he
could be next! Explore your wild side with some animal
patterns or get festive with a Christmas Tree, it doesn't
really matter the mood they've been there and brought you
a glass back. They even have the witches shoes from the
Wizard of Oz and some ones that are all about Peace man!
Wine and Martini glasses are available and they even
have party packs all you need to do it pick the theme and
everyone going to want to have a cocktail at your house,
just have them bring the wine!

I received a Jester Style for review and it is
too cute. My hat is off to you guys! A large glass,
big enough so that one would do me the light weight
that I am and the bowl is delicate and classy and
still sports a durable stem with that precious design.
They carry a bunch of arty styles and no matter what
your taste may be these are sure to be a huge conversation
starter for they are just that original. I love the his and
her Golf in fair way green and Little Miss Pink for
John is a huge golf nut and is always driving me nuts
to go off and golf with him and this way I can without
ever leaving the house! They carry one Martini party
set and you have three choices for the wine glasses
and as if that wasn't enough they have some delicious
Salt and Pepper sets that will make your table talk
and add some character to your dinner no matter how stuffy
the crowd. I also just adored the Ornaments for what
better way to add some life to your tree then a hand painted
design that broadcasts your personality. I would get enough
to do my whole tree in the Polka Dot styles but I love
the Flamingo too! If you are looking for a gift or
just the perfect touch for any intimate dinner or large
party these guys are just the right touch. HuePhoria
has a little bit of something for a lot of us! Right
now they have a great sale going on where you can even
get 25% off the Tres Fab glass so you can really rack up
the savings. It is called the ball of the Month and if
that isn't your taste come on back the next month and
see what glass is there then! The Wine Glasses hold
16 ounces and come individually gift wrapped in a really
cute box and they are always adding new styles. Dishwasher
safe and just delightful, my final thoughts on this review
is I would like to raise my glass to HuePhoria!

Posh Little Tutus Review and Giveaway!

Fashion, fashion, fashion and Style. I am hooked
and love to buy it, shop for it, browse and gawk and
dress up every chance I get. I am just as excited to
have Rowan look all Haute and dress her in the most
adorable fashions I can find and if you know me you
know that this is one of my all time favorite subjects to
talk about and I could ramble for hours. When I find
something that excites me you guys are the first to
know and I love to share. When I find something
really great and super stylish and unique I just about
climb up on my roof and scream about it for the whole
world to see. Well, I came down from the roof today
for two reasons, one it was cold and two I had to
tell you guys about this review I just did!
Posh Little Tutu's has some of the most adorable
clothing I have ever seen for a child. OH-MY-GAWDDDD
is it cute. Rowan was sent a Tu Tutu for review and some hair
pieces to match that were drop dead, hands darn, so adorable
I had to call everyone I knew and tell them they had better
get over fast and see this! I have some pictures for you
for that little Jelly Bean is determined to be a star and
such a little button in her get up. She received the Pinkalicious
Two Toned Valentines Day Red and Pink and when they
say Pinkalicious they mean it for Delicious and Pink are
about the only ways to describe it. I was giggling like
a school girl as I took it out of the box and so was my
Pooch for Boo knew this one was too big for her to wear
and she was safe! The Tutu was such fun and so full
and there was so much material it made her look like a
Prima Ballerina. I just can't get over how much material
they used for it added too the charm so much more to see
such a full skirt! The waist was stretchy so Rowan can grow
with it and totally precious and the ribbons were so sweet
and a mix of Dainty and Bold. You can tell in seconds
how much love went into the making of this Tutu and
the matching hair piece made it all come together and
I can't wait to warmer weather so I can parade her around
the yard looking like a dancing angel! My only complaint
is Rowan doesn't have any hair! (SNIFF sniff! SOB!) I
did get around that though and took a headband and
put her hairpiece on that for I wanted the whole look
come that hot place or high water! I deserved to see her,
I mean, she deserved to look so sweet! She was truly
my Valentines Day Candy Treat!
Posh Little Tutus has a selection that dreams are made
of and everything Holiday on the calendar is celebrated
with a Tutu to match! The Valentines Day selection is
enormous and in the Princess collection the Haute Princess
made me sigh out loud for I know that is going to find its
way into our house super fast! Don't even turn to the
Pettiskirts for you will end up stuck like I did and rationalizing
to yourself why your daughter needs at least 3 if she is
going to look good. The Wedding collection made me wish
someone I knew was getting married right now for Rowan
would be wearing it if I had to make a few threats to get
her in. Do you think Andrew is too young to get married
and can you get away with an arranged marriage in this
country for I really want to see Rowan in one of those Tutus
and Andrew can take one for the team!
They have more then Tutus at the store too and
just check out the Easter dresses for you will gush like
I did and I could not help but to add the Easter Chocolate
and Blue dress to my wish list for when Rowan is a little
older. They have Fairy Wings and Jewelry and Photography
props for I always wondered how some people had the most
adorable baby photos and I went to the same place as them
and asked and the people looked at me like I was nuts. Now
I know, they bring them from home and I so wish I would have
had Rowan in the Roses Baby Prop for it is too much! They
have a huge selection of Baby Hats that would look
fantastic paired with any of the outfits or you can take
the suggestions they have with items pictured for they
have fantastic taste in pairing one item with the next. The shoes
are also fantastic and well, okay, you got me, I am in
love with just about, OKAY, everything on the site! If I
had the room at home I would take one of everything
and Rowan would be dressing all dazzly for eons to come!
Your really can't go wrong with the Quality, the design,
the selection and the pricing for they make one of a
kind items that will make every person who sees your
little Girl Oh, and Awe and gush with delight. These guys
really know how to rock a Tutu!
Posh Little Tutus was also kind enough to offer a contest

Personalized Boutique Review and Giveaway!

This is a the time of year when everyone is searching
high and low to find that perfect gift for a loved one. Your
Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Husband or wife, even the kids
or you parents, you have one day to show them how much
they sweeten your own life up and point out how precious
they are to you!. Now you don't have to wait for Valentines
Day to show someone how special they are to you but it is
a great reminder to do so! As you all know I have been
searching high and low for perfect gift ideas and nothing
says how special a person is more then a gift made just
for them. I got a chance to do a review for a store called
the Personalized Boutique and this is a place that
specializes letting people know how unique they are as
an individual and caters to them with gifts that are all
about them. There just isn't a better way to show someone
you love them and care then to have something made that
features them as a star. When you present your sweetheart
with a gift that has their name engraved on it for the world
to see you are creating a lifetime of memories. It will
always be the most special item they own for it is one
that was built with love and made just for them.

I was sent one of the sweetest items they
have for a review item for what goes better with a Valentines
Day theme then a Hersey's Kiss? For years Hersey's has been
"the" gift to give for Valentines Day and no matter what you
give them for their gift you pretty much have to add on a
couple of pieces of Hersey's to go along with it. I mean really,
a Kiss, Valentines Day! Come on now, is there a better
combination? I think not! The Kiss I got was the small
3 dimensional and I have a dilemma with it. It would be a
perfect item to add for Rowan's Jewelry box for she is my
little Sweetheart and kids and candy are also another
combination we have had in our minds since the first
Lolly pop hit the market many years ago. It is delicate and
dainty and precious just like my little girl but it is also
so lovely I want to keep it for myself. It is a licensed item
so it is a perfect replica of the real thing right down the
the crinkles in the foil and the Tag the says Hersey's and
dangles to the side. The Hersey's Kiss comes in 4 different
sizes and you can get it in the flat or 3 dimensional varieties
and each one is more adorable then the next. Even better,
you get a tin filled with some yummy chocolate with everyone!
The Personalized Boutique has gifts for every person
in your life and every style you can think of. Necklaces,
Rings, Bracelets and Earrings and even those super popular
Dog Tags everyone is sporting right now. There are items
picked out just for Moms and Kids and even some for Dad
too! The kids Moppets collection is irresistible and perfect
for those little guys to get them not only started on their
own collection but let them know how much they mean to
you. The Moppets come engraved on the back so you can
personalize of them or just leave a note! The stack able rings
are the gift to give any Mom, your wife or your mother for
you can add a ring that is engraved to celebrate every
special event in their lives and the personal touch they
afford you will find a special place in the receivers heart.
Same thing with the photo Pendants, another perfect way
to let someone know how much they mean and include a
picture of you or your kids or even you and your loved one
in an embrace that rests close to their heart in every meaning
of the word! They have the Monogram necklaces I had
when I was a teen and I remember the day I received mine
for I wanted one for years and begged and begged forever
to get one and the day it was under the tree was the happiest
of my life and I treasured that thing like it was an Heirloom
and wore it everywhere I went. Name Plates are the thing
now and the Personalized Boutique has every style you
can think of. I tell you what some of these are so glamorous
I would wear them myself.

They also have couples rings and you and your love
can sport a matching set that has each others names on
them or one that even includes you both. These would also
make an alluring wedding set that is totally unique and
comes right from your heart. Personalized Boutique even
carries a full line of body Jewelry for you guys who wear
your gems in alternate ways and though Michelle here is
a super big baby when it comes to anything needle I got
a look at some of their belly rings and almost was ready to
bite the bullet and get one. Unfortunately with my belly I would
never show it off for fear of the pointing and laughing that
I just can't take the plunge. One of the sweetest items I
saw in the whole store was the Envelope Lockets for it
is the most Delicious way to send a special message to
someone you love. It is a steel or Gold Envelope that has
a letter inside you have engraved with your message or
photo that nobody but them will know what you say.
Perfect for those special messages you just don't want
to share with anyone else or a reminder of your love that
only your sweetheart will see. I really fell in love with these
and would like to get one for everyone in my family to let
them know my thoughts and how much they mean to mean
to me. Personalized Boutique also Carry the license to
many items you just can't get elsewhere and not only do
they carry Hersey's they have Goldfish Crackers, a full line
of Disney and Ed Hardy but many, many more, in fact if
I were to list them all we would be here all day. If you don't
see the piece just for you, talk to them, they will make it
for something that is a "One of a Kind" piece and made
just for you! Personalized Boutique has been seen all over
the place and has graced the pages of Cosmo, OK, In Style
and People and many more and I can't believe I had not
known about them to now. Once thing you can take to
the bank, after seeing their work and getting a chance
to feel the quality and see how special their items are
I will always go back to them for they just rock at bringing
you the best and items that are made just for you!

Personalized Boutique has offered to give one of my
readers a Hersey's Kiss all of their own. Complete with
the Chocolate! YUM! To enter just head over to their site
and take a look around and them come back here and post
what you like and learned in a comment. The contest will
start tonight and run to midnight on March 20th!
USA and 18 and older can enter daily and the winner
will be contacted by email and have 72 hours to
contact me with their mailing information. As always

Pure Pearls Review and Giveaway!

Everybody's got the fever
That is something you should know
Fever isn't such a new scene
Fever started long ago
Great now I have that song stuck in my head! Now we all
know I have the fever, I have been telling you for a while
now but it isn't the kind of fever the song talks about it
is PEARL FEVER! I have had it for a few months now
ever since I got my first pair of Pearl Earrings at 40 years
of age not that long ago. Since then I have been a woman
obsessed. I just can't get enough of them. It is like there
is some sort of weird contagion in Pearls that once you
see one it is all you think about. I see them everywhere I
go and can't help it. It's sort of like cloud busting for if
something just sorta resembles one I think.........hum,
if I could just grab it and string it on a necklace. Yesterday
I was doing the dishes and as I put the Ivory back on the sink
a couple of drops dribbled down the side and formed these
perfect little spheres and all I could think was, wow, those
would make a great bracelet! 20 minutes later John walks
in and catches me making little soap dots all over all over
the counter in different circular patterns that resembled
Necklaces and Bracelets and even a nice pair of drop
earrings as the dishes sat unwashed. How do you
explain that? UGH! Even worse I have a thing with
eating breakfast and reading, I have to do it. When ever
I sit down for breakfast I have to read a paper, or
Magazine, I have even read just about every cereal
box out there. Anything but a book, books you have
to think about and I read mindless stuff for it is the
only time a day I can clear my mind. So I am reading
as I ate some Sugar Pops and it was an issue of US
Weekly. A pen was sitting on the table and 30 minutes
later I had gotten up to get another cup of coffee while
Rowan finished smearing Oatmeal on her face and
looked down at the Magazine. I had doodled Pearl
Earrings and Necklaces on all the models for all the
adds without even realizing I had done it. Yes, I have
a problem. But how do you cure a problem like that?

What I came up with is I had to get it out of
my system by finding everything I could about Pearls,
buying the ones I thought I really had to have and
and finding every application Pearls could be used for
and learning about that as well. It is sorta like I said
up top here, about a song getting stuck in your head.
There is only one way to get it out, Listen To It! I found
out Pearls are used in all sorts of ways I never knew
about. There is Pearl Powder for your face, Pearl
Makeup, Pearl supplements, you can use Pearls as a
Crown for your teeth, Pearls are used in products to
not only keep your pets breath fresh but coat healthy and
you can even find Pearls in Paints. There is also
the best way to use a Pearl if you ask me, in Jewelry!
Out of all the places I have browsed to look for Pearl
Jewelry though, only a few have stood out and the one
I want to talk to you about today is Pure Pearls. Now
if someone is able to cure my obsession with Pearls it
has got to be these guys! Oh-My- GAWDDDDDDDD!! These
are beautiful and one of the only places I found that sell
Pearl items for men as well. Really, how cute is it to
go to that formal event and wear matching Pearls with
your Honey. I can't think of something cuter for a Valentines
Day out! AND they not only have items for the guys they have
a items for your Little Princess as well that are so delicate
and sweet I wonder if I shouldn't get Rowan some then
wear, I mean hold onto it for her until she is older. The
Trendy Collection has some items that are contemporary
as well as Vintage but either way they are what is hot
right now and don't be surprised if you see your favorite
celeberty sporting a similar piece. The Pure Hearts Bracelet
in Lavender was enough to have me running to the copier
and making various sized copy's of the picture to hang
through my whole house as a not so subtle hints to the guys
for I just have to have it and if they ever want to eat a meal
again without worrying just what is in the special sauce they
better get it for me!

For review I was sent a pair of Pearl Coin Dangle earrings
that were stunning to the eye and brilliant to behind. I turned
into a weeping fool at how Gorgeous they were and how
foolish I felt for not discovering the Natural Beauty of Pearls
before my 40th year. The earrings posts were so delicate
that the Pearls could not help but to dominate and I felt
like a Movie star with them dangling from my Ears. "I am
ready for my closeup now!" They came with an Appraisal
envelope and though I am not going to tell you what
that said I will tell you they are one of the nicest pieces
of jewelry I own and yes people, I have Diamonds! These
are triple A and I am now in lust with a Pearl coin. When
the wonderful people over at Pure Pearls told me to pick
an item I wanted to try one that I had never heard of before
and let me tell you I am so pleased I did for this is something
i will keep forever and treasure. It is like finding a little
piece of luxury you can hold in your hand. The Bridal
Jewelry on the site was also breathtaking and when I
look at photos I have of John and me, I can see I made
some really bad choices for those once in a lifetime
Moments you want to have everything perfect and if
I could do them again I would get something from this
collection. Pure Pearl also allows you to customize your
own items for a one of a kind heirloom that you can
pass on from Daughter to Daughter and take pride in
knowing it a piece only your heirs are privy to for it
came from your heart. It is no wonder Pure Pearls
pieces are so lovely though for the founder Amanda Raab
has a passion for pearls that even surpasses my own
and her dedication and love was the first building block
in developing a close relationship with many over
sea Pearl farmers in Asia, Australia, and French Polynesia
This affords her the luxury of bringing you only the best.
She takes pride in her pearls and the details of her
designs and it reflects in the quality.

One of the other things I like about Pure Pearls is
the fact they have guides to educate you in Farming,
Grades and Quality as well as the types of pearls in
an unbiased, matter of fact way. "Just the facts mam'"
and that is what they provide so even if you are not sure
where you are ultimately going to buy from I recommend
you read these guides first so you can get the best value
for your buck. Oh, and while we are on the subject of
money Pure Pearls would rather see their customers
happy and satisfied and become a life long shopper
then gouge people at the check out and every item they
offer is 85% off the retail value of what you would pay
elsewhere and the apprasial you reieve refects that
discount and even though you pay 50 dollars for an
item the apprasial will reflect the full $490.00 dollars
it is worth just in case you ever need to have your
insurance company replace it. So if you are looking
for an education in pearls, a guide to the good, the
bad and the you have got to be kidding, or are ready
to purchase and know you deserve an increadble price,
Pure Pearls has some natures blessings for you
that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else.
Even if you are a tool when it comes to finding that
perfect Valentines day gift for your girl, they can save
the day and make her think you gift giving skills went
from Zero to Hero in the blink of an eye.
I still have the fever but I got a great fix and now I know
just the medicine I need, Pure Pearls! A fantastic way
to keep me looking like Royalty! Just think of all the
Dishsoap I will save!
Pure Pearls wanted to do something special for my
readers too and I must say I am very jealous for this
piece is on my wish list. They are offering one lucky winner
a Freshwater Pearl Necklace - 17.5", AA+ or AAA 6.0-7.
0mm, white. This is a real stunner! To enter just head over
to their site and take a look around then come back here
and post your favorite item in a comment. The contest will
start tonight and run to midnight on March 19th.

Jessie Janes Review and Giveaway!

Valentines Day is sneaking up fast. I have hit
most of the names on my list but I have a couple names
left and not much of a budget left to do it with. Do you
know how hard it is finding the perfect item when you
checkbook has a negative balance and your husband
has confiscated all the credit cards except for the one
you have stashed for a rainy day. Oh, and it also rains
a lot so there isn't a lot of balance there either! Hey,
it is not my fault most of the really good shoe sales
happen on rainy days. But I still have the problem of
getting one of my good friends a gift AND her teenage
daughter. I wish I could just go around with a blank
note pad and flip out IOU notes at will. Then I would
get them something really nice. Till then I will............
wait a minute, I forgot about a product review I just
did for this enchanting little place called Jesse Jane's.
She has a shop on Etsy that has some adorable hand
crafted items that are perfect for gifts and ( ahem ) at
her prices I can even afford one for me too! I have to
face the facts here, there is a 99% chance the boys
are going to forget and I am forced to take matters into
my own hands. At least then I get something I really like!
Jessie Janes does some one of a kind, precious
little pieces she hand crafts out of Scrabble tiles of all
things. She takes a tile and her increadble talent and
paints them with delectable little designs that make your
heart swoon. She has a truck load of styles and as if that
wasn't enough if you don't see something you like (ya, RIGHT!)
she also offers custom creations. Jessie takes pride in what
she does and it shows with her eye for detail and intracate
designs. Her prices are so reasonable it makes her pendants
perfect for not only valentines day gifts but I thought they
would be spectacular party favors for parties, perfect for
that "Oh my, what do I get my child's teacher?" gifts and
a great treat for kids and adults alike for no reason what
so ever. She even has combo packs where you can pick
at set amount and get and even better deal. I think they
are so percious and a perfect complement for every day
where you can grab a bunch and match any outfit you are
wearing. Chains, Bracelets and Keychains or Hairpieces,
they just make the perfect acsessory. I was also thinking
they would make a great funraiser item for your child's
groups where they can sell a product people will not only
enjoy it won't go straight to their hips like those dang
Candy bars and Cookies I can't seem to order in a reasonable
amount. Jessie even has Wedding themed Tiles you can
use for Favors and Gifts if you are a budget or not!
Next year all my Stockings are going to have some as
stuffers for even Andy would get a kick out of a keychain
he can change with his teenage moods!
Jessies bulk prices make them a downright steal
and she always has specials and clearance items that
are a perfect way to stock up for the next year. I loved
her retro tile and her Valentines Day selection is out
of this world. I think the Candy Cane Hearts was my
Favorite for her work is so detailed and awe inspiring
it almost looks 3 dimensinal and could pop right out
at you. If it looked any more real I might be trying to
eat it! All the metal in her tiles is sterling silver and
adds that delicate touch and really makes some of
her more femanine tiles shine. Andrew loves the
Celtic Tiles for he is a fan and if you can think of an
occasion Jessie already has a tile to celebrate it!
With over 345 tiles in her normal inventory I think she
has you covered! Right now she even has a Gift special
going on where is you buy 3 you get 1 free! It just
doesn't get any better! Oh wait, it might, you guys
go get your 3 and send the free one too me!

Jessie has been kind enough to offer a give
away to one of my readers too! She is going to let
one lucky person have the Valentines Day pendant
on a chain all for thier own. To enter just head to
her Etsy shop and take a look around then come
back here and post what your favorite style is. The
contest will start tonight and run to Midnight on
March 18th.

Safety Tat Review and Giveaway!

I know you guys have been checking out the new
safety link on the site? It is the best thing I feel I have
done with the blog. Yes the reviews save a lot of time
and hassle so you don't have to weed through the junk
to get to the good stuff and cuts your shopping time down
to an in and out trip or better yet all on-line. Yes, the give
aways are always a blast and I know a lot of you have
won some pretty cool things.I also know every once
in a while I find some pretty darn good deals and freebies
for you guys and any time you can save some cash is a
win, win in my book! All that stuff is wonderful and I enjoy
bringing it to you but the safety guide is what I am most
proud of. I have found some really great products I
am glad I have found for I really wish I had some of these
items when Andrew was little. Andrew was a little terror
and aside from that he was always getting into some
thing or another and did so many things to embarrass me
my cheeks are still red. One of the worst moments of
my life was when I lost him, TWICE! I will tell you one now
for this next review might have came in handy this time.
When Andrew was like 5 we were at a local mall and this
mall had a game room type place. Kind of like Jeepers or
Chuck E Cheese. A place where you could win tickets for
playing the games. We were killing time waiting for a movie
to start and Andrew had his heart set on one of the prizes
and we were still like 50 tickets short and he was running
out of tokens. The game he was playing was harder then
he thought it would be and half way through he asked me
to take over for the games had stopped being fun when
he realized he might not get enough tickets. He thought
since I was "Mommy" I could fair better. And I did. He was
standing next to me and I really started racking them up.
I had a knack for this game and took him from a low score
to a top score in minutes and was still cranking. Tickets
were pouring out. When I finished I ripped off the long row
of tickets and turned to tell him he not only had the prize
he wanted but most likely something else pretty good too
for I won a ton.

HE WASN'T THERE.

I started calling like a woman possessed, I was loud and
screaming his name and getting no answer. Blindly stumbling
for there is no other way to describe such panic and even
worse for this was the second time in Andrews life I had
lost him, I started running through the place, knocking into
people and screaming his name. I crawled through tunnels
and went everywhere, in the bath room, boys and girls and
ran screaming into the mall. All this yelling an nobody even
asked if I was okay. Now I am in tears for I lucked out the
first time I lost him and thought for sure fate was getting
even for me not learning a better lesson and ran back
into the game room and right past the game we were
playing. Then I backed up. On the back of the game there
was a bench and he was sitting there calmly waiting for
me. I scooped him up crying and demanding to know why
he didn't answer me and I was such a wreck in seconds
I had him in tears too. The place was so loud with bells
and whistles he didn't hear me and never even knew
I had been looking. Once again I skirted tragedy but
after that I read him the list of rules every time we went
anywhere and ended up with a child too terrified to leave my
side to he was 12 years old.

If I had Safety Tat then I might not have panicked so. I
might not have shaved at least 4 years off of my life and
I might not have put Andrew through the next 6 years of
being my shadow for his Mom was out of her mind with
the chance she might lose him again. Safety Tats is an
awesome little gadget that affords you peace of mind. All you
do is apply the little Tat to your lovey and BAM they have
your cell number on them, or Addy or any other info you
think would be appropriate if they should ever, heaven
forbid, get lost, even for a moment like I went through.
If you teach you child to go to an authority figure if they
ever can't find Mommy or Daddy they will be able to
find your information and call to let you know your child
is okay. I received for review the Quick Stick Safety Tats
that allow you to write right on the Tat so if you are out
at a theme park or any other social event you can jot down
the numbers of yourself and whomever is with you so
if Jr. gets lost they can call any of you for a safe, fast
return. The Quick stick are unique for they allow you to
use a marker that is specially made for the purpose and
you can write on the Tats that go right on your child. These
little guys are not going to go anywhere and you can rest
easy that you mini Me has all the needed information
to make sure you are together no matter what. Now this
would have changed my whole out look that day and there
is no way I can go back and time and give you a before and
after for that but if you guys want I am more then willing to
pack up my 16 year old and drive him to the middle of no-where
and drop him off and see if these help him find his way home?
Of coarse I am feeling a tad dyslexic right now since he has
not cleaned his room in weeks and I can't guarantee the
numbers will turn out right! All joking aside it truly is
better to be safe then sorry and though we all prey to never
have the need for such a product the truth is if you do have
the need and don't have the product you will never be able
to get back that time you are separated and I would give
anything to not have had experienced what I did with my
son ( whom I am now willing to lose!) all those years ago.

With Rowan I plan on taking every measure at my disposal
to make sure something like that is never repeated for
I really can't describe the fear I felt for you in a way you
can understand. I know there are those of you who think
you are too vigilante for this too ever happen and I feel
you, really I do, for I felt the same way. Andrew has ADHD
and was a very busy boy and I made the choice not to
medicate him and made the choice to spend a lot of
time with him and thought I had my eye on him at all times
and twice, in the blink of an eye, he was gone. Both times
I was fortunate to find him right away but if something had
happened or he wandered too far and I could not locate
him the heart break would have been life shattering. If only
to help you sleep a little more easy at night, Safety Tats
are a great item to have.

The come in all sorts of styles and all sorts of designs.
You can order them pre-printed so your number is already
on them and how hard is it to just toss a couple in you
purse so the next time you stop at a park and there is a
crowd you can pop one on? Field trips are confusing
and these are perfect there too, if only to help the parents
in charge keep track of your child and make sure they
have the right one. Let's face it, those "Hi, my name is"
stickers only last so long on a little child. They also have
Allergy Tats so if your child is not with you at a meal
the hosts can be alerted to what they can not eat. I know
I have told John 7 million times not to feed this to
Andrew or that to Rowan and he says he knows but the
minute I leave he is giving it to them anyways. I might
even put a permanent one on my kids just to remind him
for he is just not all there when it comes to common
sense and remembering what I tell him. Safety Tats will
make it though water, and make it through rain, make it
through spilled sodas and Cotton candy and drips
of ice cream. They are there to stay. The original last
1-5 days and the Quick stick will last up to two weeks.
That is two weeks and a piece of mind! A simple solution
to a parents greatest fear! I strongly urge you to grab some
for anytime you are going to be in a crowd. From a Mom
who has been there telling Mom's I want to see never know!
