Complaint and Complement of the week
Complaint of the week:
This weeks complaint centers around a product and not a place.
The product I am talking about is Bounce Dryer Bars. I love
Bounce, don't get me wrong, and I have the same problem with
them I have with a lot of products that make the same claim.
I bought the 4 month bar and the only way this bar is
going to make it four months in my house is if I do laundry
once a week. I got it about a month ago and today as I was
pulling a load out of the dryer I noticed it was down to the
backing. I know I do a little more laundry then the average
person but come on, less then a month?
I do one or two loads a day and would have though
that this not so cheap item would have lasted at least
2 months. At almost 10 bucks a pop? Wow, here is
an idea, if you claim something works for a certain
amount of time, make it work for that amount of time.
Like I said before, its not just Bounce that ticks me
off here, it is almost every product that claims a time
frame. Air fresheners is another chief offender. I have
never found one that has lasted as long as it says
it claims too. I have tried them all.
From now on I am back to the sheets. At least
with them I know how many loads I am going to
get!
Complement of the week:
This week the Honor goes to McDonald's of all places.
Most people don't think of great service when they think
of fast food restaurants and I am one of them. A while
ago my local location confirmed that feeling with
a really crappy experience that included a very nasty
young lady who must practice her rude skills often.
The manager was not any better and though I did not
summon her to complain she as there bagging up
orders and pretty much shoved our food at us. I
understand my friend and I had a very large to go
order for we were feeding a lot of people but isn't that
why they are there? To sell food?
When I got home I sent them off an email, a long
time habit I have has when something displeases me,
and let them know in detail about how unhappy I was
and what poor service I received. A week later I received
2 Monopoly Game pieces and a coupon for a free Large
Sandwich's. WOW. My friend and I spent around 50 dollars
in there and most of our order was screwed up in
a major way and we did not get it all fixed and I let them
know and they sent me a coupon for a hamburger!
A week or so after that they sent me an email with a
survey link on it asking me to rate their customer
service when I complained. OK, both barrels I admit.
This is where the complement comes in.
A day or so later I got another email telling
me how sorry they were. Then I got a phone call.
Then I got a letter. With a card for a free coffee drink.
I know it isn't 50 bucks but it is the thought that counts
at this point. The went out of the way repeatedly to
make sure I was happy, or at least going to live,
and I have to give them a big two thumbs up
for that! They have so many people
going in and out of their doors that one person
wouldn't make a difference but to them it did and
that makes them A number 1 in my book!
