The hit just keep on coming!

Okay all, I got to fix all the Boo Boo's over the weekend and was in shock at the email. With so much going on I have not even been able to check it in 2 weeks and it is crazy! I will be answering them all soon but I needed to fix links and such first. I also started drawing names and will be posting winners real soon and reviews.

Things are still nuts for me though, I just found out my Landlord is in foreclosure and I will need to find a place to move to. Nuts Huh? He did not tell anyone but I am not freaking out for I called and found out we have lots of time. 90 days to move after the foreclosure is complete so it could be a year or so. I swear I am the MOST boring person in the world and nothing exciting ever happens in my life and in 4 weeks I have lived with more crazyness then in the last 20 years.
Now I can at least say I have some wild stories!
Okay, winners will start popping up and I hope every person wins something cool!

Hi there I am BACK!!! Review below so much more to follow!

Okay you guys, I am back now. I have shaken
off the blues and pulled up my pants and I am
getting on with my life. I am not saying that I
won't have my moments when I want to crawl under
the covers but if I have learned one thing it is the
last month has made me stronger. I am determined
to not dwell on all that has happened and I am
back to looking at the Sunshine and plan on
enjoying the season and my children. For those
of you who do not know the last four weeks has
provided me with tons of excitement and a lot of
stress. In the last month I have dealt with:
2 Surgeries for my Mother
11 teeth for Rowan
A 2 week long super Virus that effected all members
of the house and though Andrew only spent a few
days in bed and I got a day ( needed more but such
is the world of a parent!) Rowan ended up in the
ER due to vomiting.
John and I separating and last but not least this
week I had a Minor out patient Surgery to help repair
the damage and to sever the nerves in my neck from
the back injury I sustained last Fall when my front step
crumbled and I fell flat on my back and cracked my head
while holding Rowan who was 3 months at the time.
I spent a few days wishing the world would go away
but Rowan and Andrew have been great and my Mother
has also been there for me as well as my Sons Dad.
Things are starting to work themselves out and John and
I are speaking and I hope things go his way for I know
with the economy a lot of people are having the same
problems as he and separating was a very hard decision
for me but I need to make sure the kids are okay first
and worry about him after that. I did my wallowing and
hand holding and yes, spent some time hugging the
potty with that Flu but life goes on and so will I, John,
the Kids and the Blog. About time too!
Tomorrow is another day and it will be brighter!

Right now I posted a review and have many more
just about ready, pre-spell check for hey, Michelle can
not spell a thing on her own, and this weekend I will
be up-to-date with the winners list and have many
more contests posted. I know you guys have to be
waiting on pins and needles and truth is, so am I!
I love to see people happy and it cheers me up via
proxy! Lets get cracken'!

Here's some pic's of our Holidays!

Boo at home hating the fact she does not get along with my Mom's Dog!

I hope your Holidays went well and let's all
have a blast this Summer!

CSN Toys and Games On-Line Review

Spring is here and no matter how much
I have wanted to stay in bed with the covers
over my head Rowan has demanded to be outside.
I look into those baby blues and know I have to oblige
for you just can't say no to that face. Ironic since
"No" seems to be her favorite gesture right now and
any question you ask her is met with an emphatic shaking
of the head. During the Winter I took her out in her
Stroller and Carriers for I could bundle her and feed her
sense of exploration and still maintain my need to keep
her safe and secure and warm but now that we are 70's
plus bundled up is the last thing she wants to be. For
Christmas she received a couple of little ride on toys that
she likes well enough but last month she received a
Car to review that is her pride and joy! I kid you not,
if this little girl could walk and I gave her a bucket, a
towel and some turtle wax she would be out there buffen
this puppy every day. CSN toys is the company
responsible for Rowans new addiction and I don't know if I
should thank them or ask them for a referral to a 12 step
program for I can not pry this little girl out of this little
buggy!
When I first started speaking to them I was amazed at
how many different companies they owned. I was further
impressed that unlike other large Companies and instead of
just having one super store and lumping everything together
they went the extra mile and kept everything separate. When
you got to their Toy Store you are looking for Toys and
they are not thinning thier inventory with other types of
products. They stock the best play items they can find and
make sure to employ people who live and breath toys to
ensure you are not only getting quality you are getting help
and suggestions from people who are experts in the field.
When you go to Taco Bell you don't want to hear about
Hamburgers and when you go to a Toy Store you are not
interested in hearing about Barbecues! CSN knows that
and keeps each of their stores separate and specialized
so you get what you are looking for and get the best that
market has out there! CSN has stores that offer Furniture,
Mailboxes, Housewares, Shoes and much, much more and
not that long ago I did a review of their store that sells
mailboxes and learned that not only do mailboxes serve a
purpose they can also look great and have some pretty
neat features. While browsing some of their other locations
I found out each one I went to was pretty much the same
thing, tons and tons and tons and did I say tons? of
one of a kind, fantastic quality and super affordable prices.
Impressed and amazed I have them book marked all over
the place but today lets talk toys! The item I was sent for
review was the Step 2 Toddle Tune Coupe. This is a must
have for kids and I remember my sons and knew as soon
as Rowan was born I would be getting another one of these
babies but what I didn't know is in the last 16 years Step2
has made life even sweeter and my little girl is sporting a
Pink one that is just as adorable as she is! I went crazy
and you guys know how I feel about Pink and finding every
thing out there I can that is in that hue for her. Hey, don't
I deserve it? I waited 17 years for this little girl and by
golly she is going to look, dress and live in that classic
girly shade! As soon as the car came I knew I needed
accessories and rushed out and got her a pink hat, coat
and even went so far as to find her a little toy key set and
cell phone in pink to go with it. The Baby Banz Review I
am posting soon was kind enough to offer up the shades!
She is a little Mary Kay and it is the cutest thing you have
ever seen! The first time we got to take her little car out
was hysterical, adorable and a memory I will never forget.
We walked block after block so she could show it off and
every person we passed had to stop and check out her
ride with a big grin on her face. She received just as much
attention as if we had driven off of a car lot with a new
sports car! As for the car itself? Perfect! I just can't sum
it up any better. The wheels turn so smooth that even going
through our bumpy parking lot you felt like you were gliding.
Inside Rowan was super comfy for they also offer a
removable floor board since she is just too little to push it
herself. She is snug as a bug in a fancy new car! I have
to admit I was a little worried when it first came for though
I knew she was still to little to use it the traditional way
where she powers it herself with her own little feetsies, I
also knew I could not wait to her legs grew and would be
out there pushing her myself. What worried me was the
fear it might strain my back with wheels that did not turn
easy or I might be bent over way too much and not be
able to get up and I was over joyed at our first trip for
those concerns flew right out the window. The car is "THE"
perfect height where you can just touch the roof to push
and like I told you it rolls so smooth that I could push it
with my pinkie and did not have any problem at all. Even
my Mother could do this little fellow and I found it so
easy I am even taking the dog out at the same time. If
you are looking for a toy for your tyke that will plaster a
smile on their face, be used every minute of daylight
and they will never grow bored off, this is the one!
If you are looking for the best price for that toy, CSN is
the place to get it. I told you this was already on my
shopping list so I had been pricing them already and
CSN was the cheapest place I found that stocked them
by a full 10 dollars! You can't beat that!

As a matter of fact it does not matter what item
you are looking for CSN and Toys and Games Online
not only has it they have it at the best price out there!
I thought I knew what was out there, really, shouldn't I?
Wouldn't I be considered a professional shopper? Isn't it
my job to know what is on the market? I thought so but
looking through their product selection I was continuously
amazed at the items I never even knew existed! They have
everything for indoors, outdoors, in the car, just for Grandma's,
Boys, Girls, you name it they got it. Have no clue what
to get for a gift and just want to find something to knock
little Billy's or Suzies socks off? Don't even bother diggen,
just stop on by Toys and Games On-line and search in
your desired price range and you are sure to find something
that will be the hit of the party. They carry all the top
brands and even those little hard to find Boutique items you
just can't find anywhere else. They just have it all and
it is on the easiest site I have ever had the joy to
navigate. Shop by sex, price, item, theme, it just doesn't get
any easier. I have not had this much fun shopping for toys
in ages.

Before I let you guys go and explore yourself
let me tell you about the prices one more time. I was
searching the water toys for we live in Michigan and spend
a lot of time on lakes and in the water in general. We
have a lot of water toys and I am always looking for
something new and exciting. A couple of years ago I came
across a water toy that was awesome. I have never
seen it anywhere else and knew that Andrew would flip
out over it. The toy is called an Aqua Glide Multi Sport
and if you have older children that love the water this
is a must have. It does it all and you can not only
Windsurf but use it as a Tow-able and so much more.
I snapped that up and I can't tell you how much fun it
has been for the whole family. When I saw it on the CSN
Toys and Games On-line Website I was pretty shocked for
like I told you guys I get around and I have only seen it
in a few select places over the years. When I saw the
price that they were selling it for I just about passed out
and wanted to cry. Toys and Games On-line had it
for almost 100 dollars less then I paid for it. They had it
listed for less then the used one I found for a friend last
year. I could not believe it! I so wish I had known about
these guys when I bought it for I would have had more
then enough money left over to buy myself a super comfy
raft to float around on while the kids played and a pool
boy to bring me Daiquiris when I snapped my fingers!
Live and learn, but now that I know I will never make that
mistake again.

If you guys are looking for a child's Toy, no matter what
age, sex or price range you have got to stop and check these
guys out. If you are looking for just about everything or
anything else make sure to check out their parent site where
they list the different stores they have for I have been to
a few now and each one is better then the last. My final
review of CSN and Toys and Games On-line is a huge
two thumbs up and I will be grinning this whole Summer
and laughing almost as loud as Rowan! Awesome!

Up Date

Hi there Guys and Gals
I just wanted to let you know I am back. I
have some reviews I am posting and giveaways
and will be posting many, many more in the
next couple of weeks. I wanted to take a moment
to apologize for getting so far behind, like a few
weeks now but it could not be avoided. I know
I talk to you guys about a lot of things and pretty
much give you a play by play of my life on a daily
basis but seldom do I share the icky things for I
would rather bring you guys happy thoughts to make
your day lighter not nasty and depressing but the last
month has just been too much for me. The last month
has turned out to be one of the worse months I have
had in eons and since I know things can't get any worse
I am putting on my big girl panties and slapping on a new
saddle and getting back on the horse. Without tear stained
details I will give you a little run down of my month and
hope after seeing it you guys will understand. We started
with my Mother who ended up having two surgeries and
hopefully she is good for a while now for if I have to
see another Doctor or Hospital in the next month I will
scream my head off. After that we hit the super germ.
Everyone, and I mean everyone in the house got it and
got it bad. I live with loads of aches and pains but this
thing had me flat on my back and seeking comfort in a
vat of chicken noodle soup, Vicks, Uniquely and both a
heating pad and ice pack for I kept flipping between too
hot and too cold. The kids both got it and though both
were bad Andrew got hit with the Flu part the worst and
was off his feet for a few days straight and was so sick
he didn't even care or complain he was grounded from his
computer for not cleaning his room. Normally that is a huge
fight but he was more then content to just sleep for a week.
Rowan on the other hand is not throwing up so much but hers
is holding on for a few weeks now and is showing up as
congestion and just like when I first brought her home she
is sleeping maybe two hours a night due to the fact she can't
breath. I bring that Blue Bulb thingie in the room and she
starts screaming before I even get near her. She is the one
I feel the worst about for she is too little to even blow her
nose and it does not look like it is going away any time soon.
To compound Rowans problems, she is still teething and
teething bad. I have spoken to a few people for it is driving
me nuts and I know she is way off track on her teething
schedule here and most kids get between one and five teeth
in the first year and Rowan will have 9 for sure maybe more.
Right now she has her four front teeth on the top and the
bottom and is working on her side with a Molar already now.
She is going to be 9 months next week and has already
doubled the high end of normal and still constantly tugging
her ear and I don't think we are even close to out of the
woods with that issue yet. Again I feel really bad for her for
again there is not much I can do.
The last thing has been coming a while and I was hoping
to not have to post it but it can no longer be avoided. As
always bad luck comes in groups and it is just more fluff
for the pudding right now and all I can say is figures. John
and I have separated. He and I have already been spending
a lot of time apart and it has just been blown out of control
over the last year. He has moved to his Brothers for now
and I do not want to say it was anyones fault. The lovely
combination of financial stress with him being out of work for
2 years now and the fact we have been under each others
feet for those two years has been a lot to handle and rather
then kill each other we decided to separate before we make
the 5 O Clock news. I do not see us working things out
and frankly I am too old and too tired to spend any more
time working on a hopeless situation. We started out comfortable
with each other and just because you are friends with a
person for years does not always mean you can sustain a
relationship. I am very thankful for the gift of Rowan though
and she alone made the last 4 years worth it. I have been
pretending to my friends things have been okay for a while
now and just could no longer deal with it and since there is
no perfect time to do things like this now is as good as
any. Don't feel bad for me for it was for the best and one
of the good things about being sick is when you look like
crap people just chalk it up to the bug and since I have
already been moping around I am already feeling much
better.
Now I can't promise you guys I will be back to 100 percent
but I will get a bunch of reviews and giveaways up this week
and post the winners to the contests over the last two weeks.
I have notified a few people and I also apologize if any of
you have emailed me this week for everything came to a
peak this last week and have not sorted any of them. I will
get to them all this week and now that I am up and moving
things will be back to normal as soon as I can. If any of
you have been notified and not received your prize and have
sent me that info please send an email to the web email
at becauseisaidsomomknowsbest@yahoo.com and I will check
into that for you. I believe all info has been passed to
sponsors but I want to make sure.
Thanks for understanding and I hope to have some
awesome Spring and Summer stuff up for you soon!

Sorry for delays on the site

Hi guys,
Just wanted to give you an FYI and tell you guys sorry for any delays this week
as to answering your emails and drawing this weeks winners. My Mothers Surgery
that was supposed to be scheduled turned into a rush Job. I found out Late at night
and had to take her ASAP. She is fine other then a little cranky and hopefully they
got all they needed before she had another Heart Attack. She is home and comfy
and I came home but Johns warning of never going into a Hospital when you are
not ill came true and I woke up the next morning with a Bronchial Infection for the
record books. I have barely been able to stand out of bed and this is the first time
I have been out of bed for more then an hour. I am hoping Rowan and the Boys
have not caught it and this goes away as fast as it hit! I have a Doctors Apt in the
Morning but I am already on the mend and enjoying a huge glass of OJ as I type!
I hope to catch up fast!
  Thanks for understanding

Belle Baby Carrier Review and Giveaway!

AH, Spring is in the air and it is time
to fling open the windows and let in the Sunshine.
Let the dog out for hours and worry about the muddy
paw prints another day. Get those snow suits and toss
them in a Cedar box and break out the Spring jackets
and suit up the family. It is time for a walk! Get up
and move people! Rowan has already been out of the
house every day this week. John came back late Sunday
night and has given me a much needed break. Other then
a stray weekend here and there since Thanksgiving I have
pretty much been a single Parent this entire Winter. When
Rowan was teething I didn't think I was going to make it
and thank the stars that slowed a bit. Four in a week was
terminal on my back. Now she has two on the way but
it is not nearly as bad, though still a lot of fussy crabby
yuck yuck going on. Add in my Mothers Heart issues and
I thought once again I was going to crash so that I almost
sang like Mary Poppins when John walked in the house.
The last couple of days I had some issues to catch up
on at home but now I am ready to catch up the site and
that is long overdue. I must admit I want to be outside
with them for John and Rowan are going out about 4 times
a day with the dog right now and here I am stuck in the house
but in another of couple of weeks I will grab the laptop and
hit the patio. I did however get a chance to do this next review
and for that I had to go outside! Gosh, sometimes it sucks to
work other times I am truly blessed for I get to smell the
fresh air.
The Belle Baby Carrier had made my day by letting me
hit the pavement! Thanks Belle, before I even get to the
nuts and bolts of the review I am already grateful. I was
sent a carrier in black and let me first tell you about the
design. I wasn't sure I would be able to do the review for
a little while for Rowan's teeth caused me a lot of pain and
it was pain I had no choice but to endure. You just don't
tell a toddler, sorry, no comfort today for it really aggravates
your Mothers Rheumatoid Arthritis in her spine. The fact my
Neck and Shoulders are all jacked up when I fell last fall
made it even more difficult. I have been trying to mend the
last couple of weeks and have been postponing due to that
fact but when I felt that warm air I pretty much said dang
the consequences and lets do this thing. I tossed on the
Belle and was already prepared for the wave of pain in
simply putting it on but I didn't feel a thing. Lucky me!
Now for sure I expected to feel it when I added Rowan
for she has grown like a weed this Winter and I am sure
she is topping the scales close to 20 pounds right now.
Here came the Belle Design to the rescue. Belle is made
for comfort and they did away with the extra bulk and
brought you a stream lined design that includes cross-over
straps with high-end closed cell foam for comfort. The
reason they can due away with all the extra padding and
supports is they use the same materials found in those
super heavy High End Mountaineering Backpacks that are
made for a big load. A baby is a piece of cake in comparison
and this makes it more comfortable for you all around.
An independent waist belt brings the weight down to your hips
and off your shoulders so your back is spared as well.
With the Steel Rings you and your child are supper secure and
all in a lightweight, simple design that makes it a snap to
use. Baby can face in or out and Rowan, adventurous spirit that
she is wants to see the world. Your baby is in a natural ergo-
nomic position that protects their spine and leaves them comfy
and able to enjoy the ride. They also offer a removable head
support panel that is perfect for your sleeping baby.
John took Rowan out earlier in the day and he is a
totally different size then me and I hate changing the size
of gadgets and gizmo's and thought it would be a huge pain
and I was delighted at how simple it is to adjust. Rowan had
no problem snuggling in and we were soon on our way and
loving it.
"Ohhhhhhhhh! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" MAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
That must have been a car rumbling down in front of us!"
"MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! WAhhhhhhhhh!"
Lucky me, I got to see a firetruck!
The Belle Carrier made it simple for me to enjoy the
experience with her and the cross back design and that
belt made it even more so for me since I didn't feel her
weight at all, even with the constant bouncing a jiggling she
was doing as she narrated the trip. I fully expected to let John
be the one using the carriers this Summer for as
lovely as it is to be able to have your child so close
and I totally agree with Baby wearing and the bonding it
affords a parent with their child I didn't think my back would
make the trip. I figured I would be the one who would be
stuck with the stroller and have to push her everywhere and
also not be able to take the Dog. Have you ever tried to
push a stroller and keep a 12 pound bundle of energy who
acts like she has been stored in a metal cage the entire
Winter every single time you open the door to the outside
world? It isn't fun and next to imposable but I believed I
was doomed to leave her at home. What a delightful surprise
to be able to leave the house with the Belle and leave the
old ball and chain at home, well one of them, the Dog I
had to bring with me! I walked for about 30 minutes and
that was just long enough to wear out both of the little
ones, furry and funny and bring them both home for a nap.
I thought I was going to be just as beat as they were but
I still felt like I could go another 30 and did not feel the
impact of the carrier at all. Their design works like a charm
and that isn't a normal back speaking, that is a down right
cranky one that normally protests acts as simple as picking
up a tennis shoe! Way to go Belle!
All of Belle's products are made right here in the good
old U S of A and in Colorado to boot. Remember when I
said they were created with durable, tough, equipment that
helps keep Mountain Climbers and Hikers wearing their gear
in comfort all day long? I can't think of a more suitable
place to manufacture items that you know are not only going
to work they are made to last then in Colorado. Home of
the Mountains! Smartly made and tough as can be your Belle
is going to last way longer then even the most active child's
energy level! Belle offers a large selection of styles so
you can look as fashionable as a runway model and don't
forget they also have some pretty dandy choices in the
way of Organics as well! You can find their items on line
or at a large selection of retail stores and Belle also
has an extremely informative web site with a great section
on the benefits of Baby Wearing and user support as
well as a blog and anything else you could need. Connect
to other Baby Wearers and share some war stories or
just keep up to date with currant events. Belle made my
first day of Spring one I will remember and Rowan already
wants to do again, or as she would say,
"WahhhhhhhhhhhhEhhhhhhhhhhhhh Ohhhhhhhhhh!"

Baby Genius First Keyboard Review and Giveaway!

I know I have went over play area number one,
two and three with you guys a few times in the past.
Just so new readers understand I have places in the
house set up for Rowan to play since the Winter is
long and that way she doesn't get bored spending all
her time hanging out in the same area. They are:

Area one-In the middle of the living room. A mat filled
with toys she loves right in front of the TV. This is
where she spends a lot of her day for the whole family
is in and out of this area and she gets to be the first
person to greet guests.

Area two-My room. My computer is set up there and I
spend a lot of time so naturally so does she. This also
has a mat and a lot of her best toys are there are well.
She also have TV access and this is where she watches
her favorite videos.

Area three-My Bed. I have a Queen size bed that John
has been booted out of for Rowan and I and the Pooch
fill it quiet nicely. Or I should say, Rowan, her toys, I
and the Pooch and her toys fill it. Rowan has all her
favorite sleep items there and loves them to death and
this is where we nap and just snuggle.

Area four-Her room. This has turned into the Daddy zone.
Since John has been sleeping on Rowans Twin bed or
Rachel's bed when she is here due to lack of room in
ours, it has also become Rowan and his area where
they do their own stuff. The messiest of the rooms for
I get so tired of picking up after a 44 year old man it
also has a mat and mostly electronic and learning toys
that she is still a little young for but is growing into
fast.

The new area five-Corner of the living room. This is
the latest addition for Rowan is a growing and needed
to branch out. It started with her activity table and off
to the side to keep it out of the way. I used to sit there
with her where she would stand and I would hold her but
as she gets older she wants to spend more time there
and I can't hold her there for hours at a time so I
found a booster seat for her and it worked out well.
When she got her step stool it went off to the side and
started out as a little table for toys and snacks but when
this next review item came it changed into a DJ booth.
She received a Keyboard from Baby Genius and that
along with the activity table has became her own little
DJ booth and as of the last two weeks it is where she
spends most of her time. She loves it and dances and
sings and oh yes, she is a star!

Even John has gotten into the act and is often right
there with her and she plays her Keyboard and he the
Bass and they have a blast! She was born to play
music and it shows. I took lesson for the guitar and
Andrew has ones as well but it is her Dad's side of
the family with all the talent for not only do they have
their own mid-life crisis band ( they are good too) John
and his brother are both very talented. They have been
playing for over 30 years and with that much time in
they have to be good and John is the best. He can
hear something and minutes later have it down pat.
He just has an ear for it and it is looking like Rowan
does too. Already she loves to dance and sing and
all it takes is a little song anywhere to get her all
smiles and happy as a clam. This Keyboard could not
have found a better home for it is a big part of her life
right now and it takes all I have to drag her away for
a nap. Her DJ booth is the bomb and she is on her
way to being a star! Now I have to say Baby Genius
is not only a fantastic company these guys are Adult
Geniuses for they somehow managed to get everything
a big person keyboard has into a baby friendly package.
The Keyboard my son has is so similar I couldn't believe
it. It has the same options, can do the same things
as Rowans and I was in shock when I saw they can
both even record. The difference? Andrews Keyboard is
so complicated you need to be a rocket scientist to
operate and Rowans, though offering the same functions,
is so easy a, well, Baby can do it. The Baby Genius
Keyboard allows you to:
Record and playback songs
Plays 7 Baby Genius sing a long songs
Plays 22 other songs
Volume, tempo and beat control
Has four different instrument sounds
The DJ laughs when keys are pressed.
The large keys and buttons make it perfect for not
so gentle fingers and one touch controls make it perfect
for Mommy's and Daddy's to understand how to work it
and unlike Andrews I can even play it too! The whole
thing that really got me was they took something that
is complected and made it simple and they also managed
to encase it in a durable, adorable design that kids will
get a kick out of. Now Baby Genius has only recently
added toys to their line and if this keyboard is an
example of what that future has in store for us I for
one have never been more happy. Their products alone
are fantastic, educational and a great tool to add to your
child's artistic growth as well as fine motor skills and
basic principals. I was please to be able to review a
product line with such a fantastic reputation to begin
with but once I got my hands on their items I was
over the moon. In the next week or so I will bring
you a few more of their items but I just had to shout
about the keyboard ASAP for it is fantastic. The
whole thing comes shaped like an Alligator but this guys
teeth are sharp in another way. They unleash your child's
unseen talents and help them develop a joy for music
and their own creative talents all in one whirl of activity.
The keyboard is going to have your little Mozart rock-en
for hours and if they are anything like Rowan it wont
be long before they have their own DJ booth set up
and are ready to go!

Baby Genius has a history of bringing us Cd's and
DVDs and Books that focus on teaching your child basic
skills by utilizing songs and dance. Sound is the first thing
a child reacts to and they take advantage of that fact and
turn it into a life long love of the musical arts. When
learning language, memory, coordination and social skills
are just a perk and the fact music has been shown to
enhanced brain development only a small portion of what
they offer, how can you ever go wrong with that. Just
try to show me a child who doesn't love music. I don't
believe you can. Baby Genius takes a pre-disposed love
of song and sings their way into your child's heart.
Hey, I found myself dancing along too. As for their
new toy line? One look at Rowans face and you can
tell what a hit it is at our house and I know it will
be on your child's top ten too! They Rock and so will
your little DJ!

Seventh Generation Review and Giveaway!

Spring Cleaning is here! Yes, that is right, it is
HERE!! Oh, how I long for a life where I could just
hire someone to come in and do it for me but alas,
no lottery winnings have been in my Tarot Cards so
I am stuck cleaning myself. I am also knee deep into
Rowan care and everything that goes along with that
as well. Her little bootie cleaning doesn't just wait for
Spring, this needs constant cleaning. Then the house
needs tending too, dishes and windows and counters
oh, my. With all this cleaning I could fill a landfill with
paper products and the chemical run off in my sewers
alone would be enough to make our whole neighborhood
glow in the dark. It seems like I have a whole list of
problems here, for I need to find a dump truck full of
cleaning products AND Baby items and make them
powerful AND gentle AND they all have to be good for
the planet for with as much going on as I have I need
to take a little extra care, taking short cuts just makes
more waste and I do more then my share of contributing
to clutter as it is. The odds of finding everything I need
at one places are next to ZIL for who does all that and
makes it affordable? Who makes Laundry and Cleaning
items and the Baby and products I need and makes them
specifically in a fashion that doesn't knock a few forests
down and keeps to the guidelines of Green? Not only is
it a daunting task but I thought it would be next
to imposable. Then I found Seventh Generation. That is a
nation everyone can be proud to join!

Seventh Generation is a company that sees that the
common person has two parts to the world. The big
one around us and the one we surround ourselves in
on a daily basis. Both are important and both need
tending to and people are running around so fast now
a days they have a hard time keeping up with either so
they made it their mission to help us on our path. I was
looking through their product list and the impression I got
was one day a Mom sat down and said just what do I
need on a daily basis. She them compiled a check list
of household and personal hygiene products that her and
her family both use and sat back in amazement at how
much it really was. I can imagine this "Green" Mom
realizing just what an impact her "must have" list makes
on the planet everyday and this person decided to see
if there was a way to make these items without ruining
the big world around us. Now I don't know if my
Mom is real or not but when I looked at their product
list that was the vibe I got for what Seventh Generation makes
is just what I use on a daily basis. All of it. Every last
item in their arsenal is something I have to keep in my
home to make it run smoothly and clean and keep my
family comfortable. The fact it is also Earth Friendly was
a big plus for even though I care about our planet it
has always been super hard for me to find items that
are green and still do an effective job. Most of the
items I have tried that are for cleaning and green I ended
up going back to an old stand after wards to do the job
right. The Green ones just were not cutting it. Would
Seventh Generation be the same? I did a product review to
see and the items I tested focused on Rowans world
but they are products that effect us all.
Their Baby items would be the best gage for
me to get an idea of how effective they are for face
it, this is where we take the most care in our lives
to provide a clean and sanitary environment. Nobody cuts
corners with baby involved and this is also the part of
our lives where we accumulate the most waste products for
Baby creates a lot. If a baby wipe does not clean babies
bootie good enough a Mom could care less how bad
another brand is for the planet she will think nothing of
using it to assure her child is clean. If a diaper leaks
she is going to trash it and get a brand that keeps her
child dry even if it does knock down a small forest with
every change of the bootie! If that laundry detergent
sends back clothes that looks like my son beat them
on a rock instead of send through the wash I am going
to use the chemicals to make sure it never looks like
that again. It is a fact of life, we do what is best for
our baby first and worry about its impact later. That
doesn't make us bad people just good Mom's. Now
if I can find a product that covers both things Bravo!
But if not I am going for the chemicals and extra waste
for Rowan comes first. I also know if Seventh Generation can
make me happy in the baby department, an area where
every female is the most fickle, then every other cleaning
and paper product they make has to be just as good!
I was sent a complete set of items for Rowan, Diapers,
Wipes, Paper Towel and Detergent and more and I have
to say I was a little nervous. This is Rowan and this
isn't a toy I am testing these are items that will touch
her skin and as much as I love my dog I would much
rather shave her bald and slap a Diaper on her Bootie
then to experiment on the Baby so I read a bunch of
reviews myself before I even took the chance of using
any of their items on that little girl. Not a single bad
word could be found. Next I read some in depth details
of how their items were made. I NEED to be sure here,
other wise the Pups fur will grow back. What I found is
these guys, unlike some of the other brands I have
used, did not get rid of anything in their products
that are effective in cleaning they just made sure to
bring you all the natural forms and cut the fillers and
junk we don't need. We are back to the basics before
we started going all hap-hazard with our products and
tossing in a little of this and a lot of that, items we
don't really need. Things snowballed in the cleaning world
and one place would add something to their laundry
detergent and then realize UT, oh, that takes away from
this aspect so they needed to add something else to
fix that and so on and so forth. The end result was a
finished product that has 45 million ingredients we don't
really need. Seventh Generation went back to square one and
started fresh and only kept the good stuff we needed
in the first place. Let's not forget, when the first place
was first around all we had was natural items to work
with so that is what they used. Better for us, WAY better
for baby and better for the planet all around. So I
was now comfortable in the fact they made a product
people love and use ingredients that will not hurt my
little girl so I gave them a whirl for the real test is
will they work for me.
WORK" Hallelujah! I have never, ever, used any
product in my whole life that is Green anything that
worked better. In fact these guys blow away most of
the things I use that are not green. The Wipes, lets
start with the wipes. I hate gross and lets be real a
minute here, changing a baby's diaper is gross when,
well, you know. Rowan has some doozies too. I
can't stand to get my fingers in it and therefor go
through a lot of wipes and though I look for thicker ones
that work well I can't ever find them and 7th Generation
has wipes that are thick enough and just moist enough
to clear her up without me using a half of box each
time. I loved them and now I want to talk about the
Diapers themselves. When Andrew was a baby I
used cloth and I just don't have the time right now.
When I did use a disposable with him I really remember
Pampers and Huggies being top of the line and got
those for Rowan and have been having a fit. They leak,
they fill too fast and I have found cheap brands that
work way better. I was disgusted with them and when
these came I gave them a whirl and was so happy
the first night I did not have to wake that baby at
2 am and change her for they kept her dry all night
long. I was in super shock there! These are the best,
green or not, Diapers I have used since Rowan has
been home and I am doing a Jig every morning when
I don't have to change her sheets and everything she
slept with from a nasty leak once again. Now, dry
as can be. If I stopped the review right now I would
be in their debt for you have no idea how happy I am
with this fact alone! After that I did the Baby's
laundry detergent and this stuff is awesome too! I
even think it would work on my sons items and that
is saying something huge. I love the way it left all
of her items smelling fresh as well as being super
clean and no fading at all. I am really bad about
pre-treating stains and because of that a lot of my
items end up per-mi stained and I was in complete shock
when some stains I had long ago given up on disappeared.
Now that was a shocker! Baby stuff! WOW! I am
now a member of the Seventh Generation, send me my
membership card!

I also loved their other items and their paper
towels the most. I go through a lot and use them
for ever thing and these were super absorbent and
I only went through about half of what I normally
go through and that alone spoke volumes to me
and really made my day for the money I can save
right there will be enormous.Seventh Generation in general
just produces a great product all around and is just
what a Mom ordered for Spring cleaning and day to
day too. With kids or without, you are keeping your
home as clean as can be and leaving the least impact
on the world around you and saving it for your kids.
What could be better?

Seventh Generation has the same kit I received for
one of my readers as well. To enter just head over to
their site and take a look around and them come back

use out of or something you have learned. The contest
will start tonight and run to Midnight on April 28th.
