Holgate Toys Review and Contest!

Every once in a while you come
across a toy and stop and say " I
remember those!" Most of the time
it is a simple product. No bells, no
gizmo's, no whistles and best of all
no batteries. Isn't it funny how the things
we remember the most fondly are almost
always from a simpler day?

Take Lego's for instance. Nothing
special there. The don't light up, do handstands,
talk back to you or wet their pants when you feed
them. They are simple plastic building blocks. Your
imagination is the key. Your child's imagination
is the key. There is not a product in the world
that can compete with your child's imagination.

When I found out about Holgate Toys
I had that feeling and found myself saying,
"Hey, I remember those!" I was reminded of
my childhood where my Grandmother and I
would hit a craft show every few Sundays and
find a booth set up with Handcrafted, Quality toys
made with love and an attention to detail. I
remember wanting them all but because of
the time involved in making them the prices
were through the roof, even in the 70's. About
once a year I got to pick something out
and it always was my most treasured possession.

Holgate offers those toys but at a price you can afford.
Quality, standards and pride go into their products same
as the ones I coveted years ago. Rowan was sent A my
First Block Wagon to review and was tickled Pink, Blue
and other shades of Pastel for those were the colors it
came in. That was another selling point for me, they have
items tailored to girls too! She plays with it on her "Command
Center." If you have read previous posts of mine you will
know Rowan has a walker where we keep all of her favorite
toys on the tray and that is her favorite place to be.

Rowan is almost 6 months and therefore has the
attention span of a gnat. I totally expected her to play
with it for five minutes of "Wow, what's this?" Before it
went over the side. I was amazed that 30 minutes later
she was still playing. Sorting, stacking, moving the blocks
and placing them in and out of the Wagon. I wonder if she
will have as fond of memories of her wagon as I have of
those items from the craft shows I used to go with my
Grandmother. Simple, Old Fashioned Goodness still trumps
the "Toy of the Day" every time.

Holgate offers a vast variety of Wooden and Educational
toys and their charm will not be lost on even the most
fickle child. From their Rub a Dub Wooden Peg Toy to
their Handeez line and even Classic Building Blocks to
peak your little ones educational needs. Holgate is truly
a "Block" above the rest.

For you guys, Holgate has offered
to give one of you a Jumbo Lacing Beads!

something you have learned from their product
line. Then come back here and let me know in
